    Default How many hours a week do you work out?

    I'm just curious on how many hours a week do you guys or gals work out?

    I average about ten hours a week, sometimes more depending my mood when I do my cardio. I usually do three hours of cardio a week and the rest is lifting and such.

    It's very rare that I work out on Sunday's, I like to take that day off to recover from my hard week.

    How about you guys?

    I do an hour and a half of weightlifting in P.E. at school and work out at home everyday for about two-three hours. Now I think about it, that's quite a lot, isn't it?

    you are same as my brother does work out everyday three hour's at least but he doesn't do that much exercise but he know's excellent yoga.

    1/2 hour a week...hahahahah....in my PT class...hahahaha

    I too know yoga and I don't find it difficult like most of the other students in my badge hahahahaha.....my body is too agile but I am too clumsy..

    Ohh, I remember when I made a thread like this a long time ago

    I run 30 minutes every day after school or in the morning sometime if I'm not with a friend or my boyfriend. I also do some exercises like sit-ups when I have time. I also go to gymnastics 2 times a week and each training is 2 hours. So that's about 7 1/2 hours or something, but most of it is just running haha.

    I used to be in a fitness club on another forum I used to go to. It was nice, we were some people who pushed eachother and two people who knew alot about the body helped us. We had different programs we had to do each week and some things we had to do and take time, and ... yeah, it was really fun ^^ it would be nice with a fitness club here ;D

    hahaha actually it's 9 hours because we have P.E. for 90 minutes on wednesdays.

    I am clumsy too Most of time my bro as you know ultra_maniac takes my exercise he alway's say's there are two thing that no one can steal it your body and education no matter what

    see i'm not sick. i'm never sick. and i'm not weak. and i'm not in pain. i'm actually pretty healthy and rather skinny. i work out in the summer because that's when i can run and that's it. daily life is enough exercise for me...

    Well for me I get roughly about 3 hours a week at the gym, I dance and I play a sport and then there is P.E on weekend I cycle and I eat healthy but i am still a little chubby.

    I take weightlifting in PE everyday so an hour and a half in school and I lift at my house for an hour so 2 and 1/2 hours by 7 is about: 17-18 hours a week

    I HAVE to work out, or else my health will be VERY bad, i am thirteen, over 80 kilo i think i weigth.

    But it is EDIT: Lowering the weigth, if you mean work out by like gym or going for sports, i have never thought of it.
    But i run like two KM everyday and i have one pass sport in school, yesterday, floor-ball. ^^

    Well let's see, I don't know exactly how much it averages out per week, but I get plently of exercise since I don't have a car, and usually have to walk to places that are close by.

    - Walking on to/ campus (usually everyday, the time depends)
    - Walking to work near campus (usually everyday)
    - Walking to the store next to campus, maybe twice a week (15 minutes away)
    - Walking to the post office to mail something, once in a while (30 minutes away)

    Also, I go to the gym 3 days a week for about an hour after or before class. Usually I do the machines or the workout classes if it's scheduled for that day.

    But because of the snow here, it sucks and it's kind of dangerous to walk places, but if it's that bad, I usually get a ride.

    Wooo, I don't have schedual for exercise so forgive my guess-tamits.

    Every day - except Sunday - I walk my dog about 2 miles to the park & back.
    Most days I take my puppy on random 30 min walk when I get bored.
    I stretch and do yoga-ish stuff while I watch TV.
    LOL, I wouldn't call it actual yoga, cause I get bored. xD
    And just basic stuff, walking and stretching, some random sit-ups.

    But I've been eating basically two meals a day and barely any carbs, so I guess I'm on a minor diet. I got a compliment about my weight loss just two nights ago, so I think I'm doing good. Not that I'm big, but I want to get rid of my little belly. Ick!

    But my metabolism is pretty good, so... ^^

    Less and less as of a year and a half ago (halfway through college, really). This semester being immensely less stressful means I can start getting back into the shape I want to be in. I'll need it come Fall. Going to trade off metcon and strength days. I really need to start running again/more.

    I do martial arts by myself 2-2 and a half hours a day since my only teachers are my brother and my dad (They show me a few moves and have me practice them for awhile, even though I already know them -_-) So I go over everything I learned with that and then I do sit-ups and push-ups for about 20-40 min (I know....I could do it longer but I choose not to ^^; ) So...I guess you could say I get about 14-17 hours a week? e.o wow...that just doesn't seem real for me.

    Ha, same here! I never work out anymore lol. But it's sad, because I was a huge fitness fanatic a few years back. I used to work out any opportunity I could, sometimes staying in the gym from 3-7, but those days are over now. I used to lift and do cardio. My favorite exercise was running 4 miles at around half an hour, which is nothing special, but it was an okay workout ^^

    I used to do martial arts for fitness too ^^ First, I did Wing Chun Kung fu, but it wasn't for me, so I did Karate...which wasn't for me So I did MMA, which was awesome I continued until May of '09. I loved doing Gracie Jiu-Jitsu the most though. The martial arts training(especially MMA) gives you an incredible workout, we were sweating in no time!

    Ah well, I'm just talking about my past again

    i do about 6 hours of PE a week in school(i took it as a subject)
    plus about 30 minits press ups and pull ups a day, Trying to up the number.
    i do Archery so i have too keep my arms and shoulders in shape.

    I have to do 2 hours a day during the week (Weights,Cardio and endurance), and on the weekends I usually do 2-3 hours a day jogging then weights.
    So around 16-17 hours a week.
