Battle of the Month February/March Phase 1 Voting


Theme: Space


Rules and Guidelines:

1) No campaigning for votes in this thread for your own or any other signature. Any posts of that type will be removed and the entry will be disqualified. Similarly, do NOT post negative comments regarding signatures you’re not voting for. The idea is to have each individual decide on their own favorite without any undue outside influences.

2) This voting is designed as duels between the two corresponding signatures within sections going by letter. You should have multiple votes, with you voting for either Signature or A, or Signature B within each duel. You are required to vote for one signature in each section, by missing, or ignoring casting a vote for a section, your post WILL be deleted. If you do not state why you voted for the signature you choose, your post will also be deleted

3) Not following rule 2 will result in your vote being deleted unless otherwise edited.

4) Any reference to subjects like missed deadlines, entering, not entering, are NOT tolerated. It provides a clear indication of who may (not) be involved in the competition, while potentially 'giving away' entries. Disclosure of signature author, be it yours or another participants, will result in BOTH signatures being disqualified from the competition and or disciplinary action.

Section A entry: Entry 1 - Because I like the colors used in the bg of this one
section B entry: Entry 1 - I love the bg and the brushes used in this sig along with the character.
Section C: Hrm this one is hard for me because both are really good to me. The colors are very vibrate in entry 1 but entry 2 looks very unique to me with the hand being in the sig, I will vote for Entry 2
Section D: Entry 1 - This one looks really good, I like it a lot.
Section E: Entry 2 - It looks nice, I love the bg used in it
Section F: Entry 1 - Love this one, I'm a huge fan of Zachary Quinto
Section G: Entry 2 - This one is reallly good, I love the colors used brushes, the bg and the character. I'm a fan of Cowboy Bebop, it's a great sig.

Section A: Entry 1- The lights go great with the extraction.
Section B: Entry 1- The colors go great with the Gundam.
Section C: Entry 1- I love how the colors blended.
Section D: Entry 1- I liked the background created.
Section E: Entry 2- Renten is awesome.
Section F: Entry 2- I liked the way the space looks in this one.
Section G: Entry 2- Cowboy Bebop is cool.

The focus is easily found, and pretty interesting effects

Section C: Entry 2
The voting was quite hard, since both are pretty good =_=;; But I like innovation, so it's Entry 2 for me. It would be awesome if that hand was holding the earth though.

Plenty of action, I like it!

Section A- Entry 1:

Simply because it's the better sig. I really do like how the bubbles decrease and give it depth.


Section B- Entry1:

I do wish there was a bit of blurring on the Gundam, but otherwise, it's a nicely composed tag. Good blending also.


Section C- Entry2:

Unique and stands out. I really do like the creativity a lot. Very nice overall.


Section D- Entry1:

Quite a busy background, but the focus is really well kept. Impressive that ^^ Good typography also!


Section E- Entry1:

My my, now aren't both those entries similar! However, I prefer Entry 1 because of the composition. It's better controlled overall, and that flowy brushwork helping the planet 'fall' like that is really so nice! I like the graininess at the end too.


Section F- Entry1

Good flow and blending. Also, negative space is well utilized. Nice work!


Section G- Entry1:

This is my favourite one in this round of the BOTM. It has a very professional feel to it and it does stand out from the other tag a lot. I like the use of color that actually helps the focus! Excellent work....I'm hoping I get to wear it later on xDD

Entry 1 - The quality is better, and effects looks better.

Sec. B:
Entry 1 - Can`t see what the other one is

Sec. C:
Entry 1 - Becaus it`s the best of every sig in this battle.

Sec. D:
Entry 1 - Entry 2 is too simple imo.

Sec. E:
Entry 1 - Nice composition.

Sec. F:
Entry 1 - Better quality, better blending.

Sec. G:
Entry 1 - Nice compo, nice textwork.

Section A: entry 1: beautiful chick, the color contrast also very nice.
Section B: entry 1: the 2nd entry is a bit too messy for me, sorry.
Section C: entry 2: very creative, the watery background and that potatoes looking plannet, good!
Section D: entry 2: simple but nice.
Section E: entry 2: good blending here, nice letter too.
Section F: entry 2: Like the coloration of the spaceship, and sorry but I dun like that alien dude for soem reason.
Section G: entry 2: I like cowboy bebop.

Section 1: Entry A - The effects are nice, if a little overdone. The text is okayish though. The overall quality is pretty good too.

Section 2: Entry A - apart from not being able to see what the second one is, the blending is quite nicely done.

Section 3: Entry A - Man this is a hard matchup, both sigs are excellently made. I choose A though, because of the text beats entry B. It looks like they put more work into it too,

Section 4: Entry B - I've never seen a sig so empty, but amazingly so. It's so....different. Just goes to show what a bit of emptyness can do!

Section 5: Entry A - Nice, smooth and empty. A nice combo together.

Section 6: Entry A - The lighting is really nice on that one. I like the limited use of effects too.

Section 7: Entry A - This was another really hard match-up. I'll go for A though. B looks a tad over-sharpened in some spots. A has much more of a professional feel to it. Sorta like something you'd find in an ad or billboard.

Section A: Entry 2 It's really unique and I love the retro typography and overall feel, not to mention the "starring" bit made me giggle.

Section B: Entry 1 I feel like of the two it's the better, It's a lot cleaner and easier to tell what it is.

Section C: Entry 1 It absolutely amazes me, I LOVE the colors and it just looks great imo, really solid work and GREAT text.

Section D: Entry 2, I REALLY LOVE how this person interpreted the theme, it's well done and simple and just really really good.

Section E: Entry 2, a really close call, both are great, but entry 2 does more for me, I like the colors a lot and I feel like it's just more aesthetically pleasing.

Section F: Entry 1, Spock, that's why, I love this signature, totally epic.

Section G: Entry 1, SUCH A CLOSE ONE, honestly, It was hard to choose, but entry 1 just seems more professional and looks better overall.

Section A - Entry 2 - I think its better for the theme. And I like how the font is.

Section B - Entry 1 - I can't really tell whats going on in the other one. And I think the blending is just better.

Section C - Entry 1 - I like the effects, and how it looks like something hit the planet. Pretty cool

Section D - Entry 1 - Very well put together.

Section E - Entry 2 - I like the colors used, and how they made it look like hes in space. Don't really like the font though.

Section F - Entry 1 - Nice blending, and spock rocks.

Section G - Entry 1 - Not alot going on but its nicely made.

Entry 2 - i just like the fact that this fits into the theme better

Entry 1 - love the monochrome background and the color splash over it.

A(2): Hilarious, I like the thought process behind this.
B(1): Very clean, nice colours.
C(1): It has the surreal effect like that of outerspace, nice font as well.
D(2): Nice use of lighting.
E(1): I love the vivid colours from this and how the Earth just seems to pop out at you.
F(1): Spock rocks. C4Ds, nice.
G(1): Colours, colours, colours. I love the grayscale with the sudden burst of neons.

Section A: Entry 1: Has a nice frame and is done to look very professional.
Section B: Entry 1: Very nice looking and with nice designs around the image.
Section C: Entry A: Beautiful framing and lovely way to write the text!
Section D: Entry B: Love how clean it is and easy to look at.
Section E: Entry A: An overall clean image, wonderful focus, and beautiful for something so simple.
Section F: Entry A: Lovely picture! Nice feeling, and very professional use of text.
Section G: Entry 2: I am a sucker for space cowboys, and this picture/text made me grin at the memory!
