How do you react to hatred?

You all had that person or persons. One that you just hated so much you couldn't bear talking to this person. It could either be on a website or real life, both affect you in different ways.

- Asking the question for anime forum and real life.

Do you just ignore the person and pretend they don't exist?
Bully them?
Hit them?
Be fake and talk to them?
Etc?

Website - I don't ignore any user. I find ignoring a user not much of an idea because I'd rather see what they say about me or rather what they need to say in a topic without me ignoring it.

Real Life - Ignore them and seperate them from my life.

When it comes to hating people over the internetz...I dont. Whats the point? I dont know them and they dont know me. o.o;

I'll ignore the crap out of people online, xbox, anywhere technical if I don't like what they have to say I don't pay attention. Out of sight, out of mind as far as I'm concerned.

IRL it's a bit different and depends on the person/situation. If it's a roommate (yes I've had ones I hated before) then I avoid. If it's a friend's significant other I tolerate or avoid.

So I guess most of the time I just avoid. It's easier than dealing with drama. I'm not trying to go gray yet lmao.

I ignore the people I don't like on message boards, if there are any. In life...it depends. Generally I don't like most people anyway, so I wouldn't know or care if they hated me. I'd probably laugh.

On the internet: I don't really care. It's up to them if they feel like wasting their time or mine hating me.

In real life: I don't want to sound arrogant, but I try to be the better person and ignore the person or don't acknowledge their presence. The only way they'd get a reaction out of me is if they provoked me in a way beyond all my limits or if they put me in a critical situation. And trust me, you wouldn't want to do that

It's not always easy to figure out if they are acting a certain way out of hatred or cowardice (sometimes it's both.)

Online or offline, usually pity. It's a big waste of time.

Well I never said they bother me did I? I'm the type on a website or a forum that would never switch a user to ignore unless they send me repeated messages.

Only thing that bothers me on a website/forum is a user that acts like a baby and kisses up to staff and forum veterans. I see that a lot on this other forum, annoying. I kinda find it funny when a group of people bully others online. Its like, you can type that all easily, but face to face your just a coward that acts tough online to seem tough in real life. This also happens when people roleplay and throw imaginary beams at people calling them wimps and such.

Internets: I have an ungodly low amount of self-discipline, so I can't help but reply to every stupid Youtube comment every day all the time.

IRL: I joke around, if they're making fun of me, I'll help them make fun of me. Win without making enemies. But sometimes I'll at least stay sane and have a nice little debate with someone, but I'll throw a joke in there somewhere.

irl i hate the girl who works the 7-3 shift. can't stand her. what makes it even worse is that she dates on of my best friends. it sucks, but i have to speak to her at work about work stuff, but if i go out to the bar and she is there i won't say a word to her. neither does anyone else in the crew. we just pretend like she's not there. this has been going on for over 6 years.

so yeah, just ignore them. its the best way to do it. when you open your mouth, you run the risk of getting into an argument or worse

Honestly, I have had a pretty bad life for most of my life until recently. I have more people who hate me then who I am friends with or who actually love me. On my facebook I have over 40 people blocked, because people who know me in real life, do not like me. I have been treated horribly most of my life by people. I am used to hatred, but I shouldn't have to be, cause no one deserves hatred unless they do something hateful to a person. My whole life, all I have ever done has been avoiding people, because honestly, I am affraid that whatever I say to a person, they will take it as something negative or disrespectful, and try to harass me about it, because that has been my whole life. People are mean to me for usually no reason, just because of crud that they hear other people say about me. People who live around me are rich and stuck up, and my family is poor. I have always been misjudged, but I bet it's pretty much cause I don't reveal that much about myself, so they see me as untrustworthy. How can I trust a person when for most of my life it's been that people will automatically judge me and be mean to me though? I am seriously a paronoid person. I have a lot of anxiety, because of the way I have been treated most of my life by people.

As I've said before, I don't get out very much, so problems like these don't concern me.

Come to think of it, I did have one person whom I particularly disliked when I was in junior high school (ironically, that was also back when I still had some friends as well). Well, I went to a class reunion last year, and it turns out he didn't even remember me; and when I told him who I was, we had a rather friendly conversation.

The sense I got from that is that people aren't as concerned with you as you think; they're too busy about their own lives to be wasting time and energy caring enough about you to hate you, so why should you? They may drop a nasty remark, and totally forget about it or you the next minute, while you're seething about it for weeks. It all seems like such a waste of effort.

No matter what you get it everywhere, as you know...esp at a work force! I have disagreements and yes people can wind me up, but i dont have constant slanging matches i just walk away, at the end of the day...its just a screen lol. In real life...i dont talk or ***** behind their backs, i tell them what i think of them so then we can all get on with what we want to do, as you get older you learn, i had people walk all over me but you put your foot down!!!

Well, hating is common, I guess. For me, I mostly ignore people I hate, online or in real life. It would be useless if I act on my hatred. But I can't really help it if I show a sour face now, can I? But mostly I ignore.
