So initially your characters may be exceptionally skilled or equiped compared to most people, but they aren't throwing balls of energy or leaping buildings or anything. They can only do things that actual people could do in real life.

so mana dons't do much at all in the game really special like fire ball, shields, energy barriers, so what does mana do in real life.

Who asked you I'am just trying to understand something character could do at the beginning instead of being around other character that are busy or doing something else and that maybe you have some spare time on your hands.

Any character could try to do those things. From your list some are fairly easy (making a basic spear or hut) while some of the others would be unreliable if the person didn't have specific training (Herbalism).

Background (at least why you came to the island) : Aspiring filmmaker and novelist with great gumption and gusto. Just broke the bank to come on this trip but hopes that it will be a worthwhile investment for her movie and the return on it will be great

Personality: Fiery, silly, and passionate; though you wouldn't know that from just looking at her - most of the time she's thinking so much, she never says a word (unless there's something to be said).

Advantages: A great common sense that most people are lacking; and though she's not the fastest or the strongest, she has great endurance (can run for a long time even if not running fast; can stay alive in a fight for a long time even if she lacks the muscle).

Flaws: Easily confused. She tries to overanalyze all possible options, even if there's not enough time for it. Her pet hamster, Squiggles, is bound and determined to get himself in trouble and she always runs after him.

NPCs she knows: Her hamster, Squiggles. He's a chubby, spoiled hamster, but he's sweet and means well - only he's too adventurous for his own good.

She doesn't always wear a skirt, she usually wears dark pants and over-sized spiked wrist bands.

Age- 23

Background- Her whole life growing up she watched helplessly as her father abused her mother on a daily basis. Her mother, a particularly week person was named Nana. As she grew up she used her mother as the opposite of a role model, she vowed she would be nothing like her. Her father was an alcoholic and a shovanistic pig. When she was twelve her mother and father had what seemed to be like one of their usual fights, except this time her mother fought back, this ended with a gunshot. Zepheyere's mother took her to a nearby orphanage and became a fugitive. Her father, after visiting the hospital found her mother and brutally murdered her, using his bare hands to beat her to death in some alleyway. The alleyway happened to be right next door to the orphanage and Zephyre saw everything and could only stare helplessly with bars over the window and every door locked. She later testified against him, putting him in jail.

She ran away from the orphanage at the age of 15 and stayed with her best friend (adopted from the orphanage) and her new family. The father of this family was a perverse arrogant man, the type she assumed all men will always be. He proved to be just what she thought, but thankfully years of self training came through for her when she nearly sent him to the hospital in self defense then left to live with her aunt and uncle about four hours away from her home town. Her aunt and uncle see her as a black sheep because of her up bringing. In high school she was a quiet unpopular girl who preferred distance. Others saw her as scary or weird because of her choice in style. She wore what she felt like, anytime, it usually consisted of spikes, black, lace, and leather. The only one who ever approached her was a boy named Nobu. He became her only friend by starting communication through her life passion, music. She moved out the day she got a job, a week later her and Nobu put together a band and had their first gig, they are quickly becoming popular in many countries. She sings and plays electric guitar, her other band members consist of Daisuke (drumer) Sakai (Bass guitar) and of course Nobu (lead guitar). They are known as “The Black Rose Plague” a punk band.

Personality- Zepheyer can be abrassive, sarcastic, but funny. Because of her past she has zero trust in men, though she isn't the typical man hater. Because she was her own parent since she was twelve, she gained the maturity of a woman years older than her. She is very independent and strong willed but loves crowds just as much as being alone. Her love for crowds was developed through years of live performances. She can step up and be a leader when the time comes, but she is also quiet and will follow along. She is laid back enough to get along with others but keeps her distance and never mentions her past.

Her band manager sent her to this island to relax and get out of the daily rush and hopefully work out a few frustrations. She is extremely physically fit from a strict workout created for her stage presence.

-big sister!! She loves to protect other girls and will intervene in
an argument to defend another girl, this can cause trouble for her.
(though she loves trouble)
-she will argue with anyone who annoys her if they push her to a
certain extent. (but keep in mind that she is laid back and generally
an amused-by-others type of person)

NPCs- band members. They enjoy teasing her and telling her they miss her. They are more or less her only real family. Usually calling her Hachi which she sometimes resents. (Hachiko meaning dog as well as Hachi 8 lol)

You can just in with the new group where you'd like. Or I could assist with getting you into the mix. You could start with the one of the older players, but a bit of freeform can be fun and helps develop your character.


Oh, one point of clarification, are the band members along for the tip? It's fine if they are and you manage them as NPCs

Background: Mia is part of a rich and successful family, she had no problem convinced Daddy to let her take the private boat out, though he didnt know it was to a party, her dad sent her out with her personal escort, and away they went.

Personality: Mia has always lived a confined life, private tutoring and only ever meeting older refined guests. She wears a necklace given to her after the death of her mother 10 years ago. She has skills of mental manipulation, her eyes can strike fear into many or melt hearts, she uses this to her advantage as much as possible as she lacks physical strength, though she is light and fast on her feet.

Advantages:
Faith/Spiritualism/charms - The necklace from her dead mother
Fast Runner - After all the time running after her horses and though meadows, and away from her house when shes in a strop, maybe it paied off.

Flaw:
Doesnt know what other are capable of since living a confined life.
Gets upset and cries a lot.

NPCs he knows: Her escort 'Grunt', Mias ignorance stopped her from ever asking his real name, he is big and strong but the silent type tends to murmur and grunt rather than talk, Mia really knows little about him, though he knows all about her.

The thing I wanted to note here in case other people are reading it. Her NPC is considered a "regular person" without advantages, but people are allowed to start with regular NPC. I find they add some flavor, and since only the main character has Karma keeping both alive can be as risky as not having one (potentially)

Short blonde hair, blue eyes, and pale skin from spending so much time indoors. Almost always in her labcoat and goggles, but if not she has thick black glasses, and usually wears black jeans with a red t-shirt, and red sneakers with a small heel.
Background:
As a child Rosalyn always seemed different. She was clearly smart, but her family worried about her neuroses and compulsions. She was always very curious, and permanently damaged her eyesight at the age of five from get to close to the kitchen stove. She came to the island as a scientist to study the animals, plants, and their habitats, but became extremely interested in the patterns of the volcanos. She is known in the area as a bit of a "mad scientist" because of her strange theories and constant paranoia, but is respected as a scientist. She came to the beach near the resort on the day of the party because she thought there was a strange creature in the water, and sensed a storm coming.

Her Siberian Husky, Samwise, who is extremely loyal and would do anything to protect her. Rosalyn believes her dog can sense storm approaching, since his right leg was broken when it was caught under a tree branch, which was when she found him and nursed him back to health.

I made this character to be a replacement for my original character so i dont feel guilty for the quick character change in the game. This maybe temparary on how anyone decides to deal with Kyle as the game goes on.

He means its probably best if you give the dog an advantage, other wise it will just be a regular dumb dog hope that helps

The bottom line is that if one of your advantage slots gets used the dog can have the Lassie like near sentience, skillfullness, and usefullness. Otherwise it'd just be a trained dog, good for companionship and protection, but not so useful if you fall down a well. :P

Anyway it'll probably be another day or so before I finalize how I'd like to put you in. Though, while you certainly don't have to read any of the older posts to play, you could read some and see if there's a group you'd rather like to interact with. But I'm going to send some PMs and see how they work out otherwise.

Age: 28
Background: Ed used to front a widely popular Elvis Costello tribute band. It was just after a show when he vanished, and was eventually presumed dead. The reality, however, was that he had been abducted by government agents and trained to kill a high Chinese official. He was deemed the best person for the mission as the official was very fond of Costello. He trained in hand to hand combat for weeks till he was deemed ready to be sent on his mission. Unfortunately for Woods the plot was uncovered and he was beaten to an inch of his life before being dumped in the ocean. Miraculously he survived and was washed up on a beech in Lanai Island(DUN DUN DUNNN!).
Personality: Ed is a cool dude with a calm air about him. He doesn't get worried and is level headed in even the most dire of situations. This also causes him to underestimate the seriousness of a situation and may make jokes when everyone else has decided to high tail it out of the area. He enjoys long walks on the beech, smoking, a variety of sports and puns.

Has a phobia of coco pops.

The character is basically good, potentially quite fun. I'd say that the "ancient art of slapping" probably crossess the line for being too silly, could you change that?
