Yeah...the title might be a bit misleading but what I'm discussing in this thread are things that took WAY too long for me (or you) to realize.

Until I was 8 I didn't know that the E on the dashboard stood for empty.

Until I was 7 did I realize the blinking light on the dashboard was not some magic light showing me where to go, but the turning light.

Until I was 6 I didn't know that my sandals weren't supposed to be tied...because they were velcro.

I didn't know where the chickens on my uncle's ranch went every morning...until I saw Jeff on the cutting board.

Anyone else wanna share?

Until i was around 5 or 6 i didn't realize that revolving door handles revolved and didn't go up and down.

Until i was 7 or around that age i was under the assumption the "Nesquik" Cereal, came from the the promotion/advertisement bunnies rear end.

I watch a show called "The Soup" on E!

At a point in the show, the host Joel says "Lets take some E!" and shows a clip of a girl swallowing a disco ball.

It took me well over a year to get that it was a joke about ecstasy being called "E" and the E! station
