I've seen a lot of bands over the years, but I'd have to say Aerosmith was most impressive when I saw them a few years ago.
Tell me about the best concert you've attended.

Why is Reel Big Fish not on any of these lists? Shame to you all.

We obviously have different definitions of what putting on a good show really means. To me, it is not fancy pyrotechnics and light shows. Honestly, the band itself has very little to do with such gimmicks. Also, the Reel Big Fish video you provided is unfair because it doesn't show how funny, enthusiastic, and real RBF is as a band. For instance:

Going off? I'm in no way trying to be rude or anything. You and I just appear to have a difference in opinion of what makes a good show.
I feel a show needs more than a group standing on a stage and performing. I also feel bands that can perform their music 100% as well as produce creativity in forms of production (be it pyro, lights, or computer imagery) should be honored more than those who just play and leave.
By the way, I've seen Reel Big Fish live twice and own their discography. I feel I can judge it just fine.

The Prodigy, Manu Chao and Grandmaster Flash are the best shows I've been to. Every time I've seen The Prodigy, they turned the venue into one mighty big mosh pit, Manu Chao somehow managed to make people bounce without much contact with the audience, but with musical improvisation alone; he somehow managed to exceed my already high expectations, and Grandmaster Flash showed us that, despite the fact his times are long gone, he can still throw an awesome party.
First and Foremost the greatest live concert you could ever see came from Michael Jackson, but as for others i'd say Aerosmith, AC/DC and Dr. Dre.......if you saw the up in smoke tour you'd know why i put dre.
I'm more for stage presence and enthusiasm than gimmicks myself.
The pyrotechnics and costumes and all are nice I guess, but the true mark of a stage performer is being able to go out there and be entertaining without all that. Most folks that use that stuff rely on it, which is lazy and distracting.
I'm gonna say Green Day who, despite using pyro at times, also puts effort into being on stage and being entertaining.
Visit the Toy Dungeon Studios Store and buy a shirt or zipper pull, damnit!
Green Day owns. They were beyond AMAZING live, and they had 3 encores at all 3 shows I went to. <3
