Blood donation?

what are your thoughts about it?
i'm pretty okay with it, i just gave blood on the 8th. it's a pretty cool thing knowing you helped save up to 3 lives just by sitting down and squeezing a ball.

I've given blood before. I still remenber donating blood during my senoir year of high school. I didn't have enough blood in my left arm so they had to take some out of my right arm to, so they wouldn't have to waste blood from the first pump. Both my arms were numb that day but, I got a really cool t-shirt. =]

I haven't try donating blood, even though, I want to-I can't because I weigh less for my age. Though, if given the chance I would honestly donate mine^^..(I'm O (-), by the way)..

I wanted to donate blood but my mommy said that I shouldn't just now because I am too small for this..and you know what she had once approved to donate her blood to her uncle at my age..Anyways my blood group's O and I can donate my blood to anyone. It is weird that none accept me has O as their blood group in my family...and we have all had our tests..

We had ours on the 8th too. I think it's a really good thing that teens are willing to do it [and adults].. But I've never been able to do it because of my weight issue. You have to weigh 110 or something and I only weigh 83....

I've donated blood before, and I don't really see why anyone rational would oppose of the practice in itself, barring health considerations.

Speaking of health, I've been turned down a couple times in the recent past because apparently my blood is too thin, or something or another.

It's a great thing to do.
It makes you feel so good thinking that someone can live a second longer,for you.
I can't donate my blood now since I'm a bit too young.But I've seen my dad donate blood and it seemed pretty awesome.I could feel a little of what he was feeling.And the first thing I want to do when I become 18 is donate my blood.^_^ I can't wait!!

Due to several health complications I am not allowed to give blood. I've heard the only reason my friends don't do it regularly is a dizzying feeling at the end due to blood loss.

I want to donate blood but I bleed slowly so it is rather difficult to get any out of me. As far as I know, I only have one large visible vein in my arm that might work if I ever tried. Then again, that one becomes invisible often.

Ah ha! I not only have properly sized veins, but I also weigh enough, have enough iron, and don't suffer the problems of "OH GOD I CAN'T LOOK AT MY ARM OR MOVE FOR THIRTY MINUTES AFTER DONATING."

So I donate whenever I can.

We Irish have one up on you Swedes, not only do we not allow homosexuals but we don't let the English...or anyone who has spent a long period of time in England. Aren't we great
