today/tonight i am generally a happy person. and why not. i am healthy ,have a home,food to eat, playing dragon age ,training ju jitsu , study biology,etc

what i wont to say. it is easy to be happy and yet so many are not

I am not happy, but I am on my way. I have a home, a nice vehicle, everything I want in that home. Well, there's stuff I want, but I have everything I need. Except a vacuum cleaner, I need to get one so I can stop bothering my neighbors.

But I don't have everything I want. I want a dog or two, and a nice girl to do stuff with. I'm not allowed to have the dog I want - German Shepherds are too big, landlord won't allow it. I hate drop-kick dogs, so I'll have to wait. And I swear, the women in this town either weigh three times what I do, or they have four children from different fathers. Maybe I'll finish my happiness in the next town, wherever that is.

I think hapyness is up to the person and how they view their life as a who;e and also who they spend their time with and what they spend it doing. If it is something both people enjoy ods are hapyness is bound to happen for longer periods of time. I'd say I am a moderatly happy person for the most part. I too have all of life's musts without much effort but sometimes the way my family makes me feel hurts and sometimes makes me question if they're what they say.
Though I do my best to stay positive whenever possible.
Overall I'd say I consider myself a happy healthy person.

I don't do sad, only emo kids do. The equation to avoid sadness is simple:

See, the way it is with me is that I am both happy and unsatisfied.

I'm happy in the fact that I know what I want, but unsatisfied in knowing for a fact that I will never achive my ulitimate goals. This is not from a lack of self-confidance, but a understanding that I will forever lust more after what I want even when I have what I already set out to get.

Most people would see that as a bad thing, but it turns out that it's not since my goals are postive things.

um, I would prefer not to go into too much detail about what those goals are though.

Well, people often think happiness is a destination, or it comes from material objects. (I guess sometimes it can.)

Happiness is more of a state of being. You can still be happy and peaceful even if you aren't exactly where you want to be in life.

Aristotelian ethics describes happiness as the final end, the one thing for which nothing more desirable could follow. Power, wealth, etc., were all simply means to an end. It's awful hard to refute the logic in that; I can't do it, nor could a few classmates of mine in an ethics class when we were assigned to.
