Sleep Deprived

I just wanted to inquire about the sleeping habits of my fellow forumers. Right now I'm really stressed, malnourished, and sleep deprived. Just how sleep deprived am I? 6 hours over the course of 3 days. ;__;

So how sleep deprived are you? What's the most sleep deprived you've been? Are there any other things going on right now that are negatively contributing to your health?

Caps, honestly... I am as sleep deprived as I never was before.
I haven't been really able to sleep in a normal rhythm since 6 months ago.
Usually getting 4hours of sleep/night. Or none at all.

I get between 2-4 hours of sleep most nights of the week, excluding friday nights, as I can sleep in on saturdays.

The most sleep deprived I've ever been is having stayed up for 5 days straight.

I'm frequently awake for two days at a time, three on a rare occasion.

My sleep is reversed for no reason, so I sleep about 6 hours in the daytime, and wake up sometime in the middle of the night. I wish it would go back to normal D:

I usually try to go to bed around 10~11, but it depends. I usually wake up later (like 11-12am) when I don't have class. Otherwise i'm up around 8am. I average around 8-10 hours every night.
I don't like oversleeping. It always makes me feel like crap.

When I don't get enough sleep, I kind of act like i'm drunk, which is funny because I am rarely drunk.

I'm not all that sleep deprived, really. My body is rather stubborn about getting its regular seven to eight hours of sleep a night; and, quite frankly, it makes me pay for it all through the next day if it doesn't. Usually however, I don't have to worry about it all that much. I have so much work, studying, and training packed into my days that a few minutes on my bed will have me out like a light.

With regards to how long I've ever been sleep deprived, it would probably only be about a single night at most.

I get like 5 hours a night on weekdays, none on Sunday nights, about 10+ on weekends.

About 5 a night, depending on what exam I have to study for. If I don't really have to study then I get like 7 hours. Naps during the daytime don't help me so I rarely take them

On nights when I have to get up early in the morning, I usually try for about 6-7 hours, and when I can sleep in I'll go all for 10 hours of sleep. I'm not that sleep deprived, although functioning can be hard in the early morning.

My sleeping habits vary. I have recently decided that it's okay to take a short nap after work. As I've said before, I drive an armored truck. It may not sound like much, but in heavy traffic or lousy weather, it can be very taxing. I also load and unload said truck, which can also be tiring - think 120 50lb bags of quarters loaded in 15 minutes or less.

Anyway, I try to get seven or eight hours. Tonight I'll be getting...six. It's 1130 here, and I have to be at work by 645 am. So at the latest I must get up at six, shower, and drive across town. Some nights I've gotten three or four hours, and then had a 12 hour day follow - one night I had someone try twice to break into my car in a three hour period. I had two hours of sleep that night, was cold and wet, and had the adrenaline going so I couldn't get back to sleep...and then I drove that truck for 13 hours. Dangerous.

During school time, I generally get about 2-10 (mostly 4) hours of sleep everyday, except Sundays. On Sundays Ill sleep for like most of the day. During the time I dont have school (like Winter break and Summer), Ill alternate from 10-12 hours to 0-4 hours of sleep. Like one day Ill sleep for 2 hours and then the next day Ill sleep for 12 hours.

I really need 8 hours a night. I can function on 7 or 6 for a day or two, but it's not pretty.

Though I do pretty cerebral work that requires extended periods of focus and attention, so I guess sleep deprivation has a greater impact on me than people in other walks of life. Not enough sleep just has me zoning out all the time, which is devastating in the middle of a lecture that requires you to keep track of 4-dimensional objects in space time or whatever. If I do have some class that only permits me 5-6 hours of sleep, I usually attend, and then go home for a 2-3 hour nap.

Sleep deprived huh? well, I just slept for two hours last night if that helps.
I guess this is what my professor meant last year when he said to me that I'll be like a night shift security guard.

being an engineering student, I guess being awake for 48hours straight is certainly a skill that one must have, if not, believe me, you have a high chance of failing...man, I just wish my professors will give us less projects to deal with...

I've discovered that it is impossible for me to be fully active without more than a solid 12 hours of sleep every day, be it during the night or (more often) during the day. When I miss any sleep, the hours I missed somehow always finds a way to hit back at me later; if I go without sleep for 24 hours, I can literally sleep for more than a full day straight afterwards.

On a daily basis, I'll say I sleep about eight to nine hours on average. It's never ceased to amaze me that people seem to be able to keep running on anything less.

The most sleep deprivation I can remember is from Anime Boston this past May, my first convention. I worked Friday (6:30 AM) and Saturday morning (7:30 AM). Went to AB afterwards on both days. Slept for maybe 1 1/2 hours on Friday. Pulled an all nighter Saturday night. Went to AB on Sunday and worked until close (9:30 PM) after I left. It wasn't nearly as bad as it may seem because I was occupied almost the entire time. That makes a big difference to me.

Well the worst for me is going to bed at 3am and waking up at 5am but my usual is going to bed at 10pm and waking up at 5am. Not too bad i guess. Im not sleep deprived at all.

it really doesn't matter how musch sleep i got as long as it is 3- 6 hours at night..
and that i wake up by 6 am or 7 am by my alarm clock..
if i don't wake through the alarm, then i am sleepy the whole day...

the most sleep deprived days i had was 48 hours being fully awake..
i don't remember what i did though...
and as i remember i was hyper active during those times...

and sleeping 3-6 hours each day was and is the primary reason why i am as thin as i am thjis moment...
help me gain back my lost 3 kilograms....<in despair>

Hmm... ive pulled all nighters before, but i usually just go through the day slightly stunned more than tired for some reason... And yet, getting up at 8 in the morning is going to become my demise i think- that said, i usually end up going to bed at about 1.30am and then up at 8, whereas if i dont have lectures ill go to bed at 2 and get up at 11/12 ish, so i guess thats where im going wrong (probably need a bed time again... :S )
Plus whenever i do go to bed, i live with trainee nurses, so theyre always slamming doors at about 6am... living in halls has major downsides sometimes

I woke up three o'clock the morning once after having a nightmare, but what keeps me awake is the coffee I drink. My medication gives me headaches and I can't stand it, because I have this fuzzy feeling in my head, I restlessly walk around the house when I listen to music. The music makes me want to dance, and I dance, but still I don't get tired, I don't get sick. I don't understand.
