Guys who do the whole poetry/drawing thing are usually the immature/naive type, who jump head-first into a relationship, and become dependent on it. They're emotionally weak, so to speak. Therein, they become dependent on a relationship, and are desperate to maintain the relationship not out of love, but for their own state of mind, though they probably don't notice this themselves.

Lol, I don't draw, I'm terrible at it. But the fact is, I am into poetry. But I don't try it. Sometimes when I have too much emotion bottled up, it kinda comes to me, you know? And then I gots the weird urge to write it down XD But I'm not emotionally weak. I'm actually pretty strong emotionally, considering what I've been through. I'm the kinda goofball kid who doesn't worry about anything, haha

I also belive there is no such thing as "love at first sight", but thats just me. Alot of my friends will see a pretty girl and get all googly-eyed. I actually had one mutter the phrase, "I think I'm in love", But if that happens, it isn't love, it's just a strong physical attraction. I'm one of the only guys I know who have to get to know someone for a while, and then I will know. If you gotta think about wheather or not you love someone, then you most likely don't love them as much as you'd like to. I didn't have to think about it, I felt it as it grew over time. That's how I knew, but that's just me, haha.

AND ALSO! I read something above me about guys who stop being romantic? I never was much for the romantic thing, like the cutesy names. I like them alot, I just feel kinda wierd sayin them, you know? Either way, if it's me, then I might have tried at random times to be, like, super romantic, but as the relationship continues, I will probably ending up smoothing it out, so to speak. So it's a little bit, but it's constant. Haha, doesn't mean I'll love the person less, not at all..........wooooow, this message was alot longer than I expected XDDDDD

My view on it is that people are all different. We all have our own ways of falling in love and it may differ depending on the type of person we fall in love with. I think both men and women are capable of falling in love too fast, especially when they are falling in love for the first time.

The thing is, even if you know all about falling in love too fast and bla bla bla, sometimes you just cant help it. Of course it doesn't work all the time but there are exceptions to the rule.

I'm not out to negate any stereotypes. I'm only confused as to why that particular stereotype has stuck around when there is so much evidence that would imply the exact opposite.

I believe that women fall in love much easier than men, for some odd reason. Not only that, but women are more of the romantic type unless you seek the cliche, made-up lover that treats his darling like a trophy wife. Those ones are rare.

Anyways, i've observed some things, and the first would be that if you seem to repeatedly meet the same type of person then you might have something to do with it. It may be the way you act/dress/talk, like how nice you are may encourage certain types of individuals to be drawn to you, and how the way you dress may encourage certain individuals to talk to you, and such and so forth. Communication rules heavily in the attraction game and communication can be connected to everything about you. We all judge others constantly, whether its glances on a subway or what kind of emoticons you see them use in a chat or in txts. Another thing is about how guys are romantics, it can be any number of things, but the biggest ones would have to be what Xero mentioned, and you, Wolley, may just attract and encourage those types of fools. Also something i'm seeing, and i don't fully understand, is i know guys that are turned off by would-be perfect girls that are enamored by them, turned off because it is "too easy".
That's my input on the subject.

I don't understand the concept of "too easy". If the thought crosses a guy's mind it means he's interested in her too. Mutual attraction isn't too easy, it relieves pressure from both parties. Everyone's nervous.

I highly doubt that I'd turn a way a pretty girl who liked me simply because I didn't have to "chase her". Now, if she was hideous, I'd probably chase her. With an axe.

Guys and girls can be romantic but in their own way. From what I experienced or from what my friends experienced, some guys or girls can treat women/men like dirt or they can treat them as if they are their world but do it to an obsessive/ stalker degree. The two extremes are both horrible but unfortunately that tends to happen. The key is moderation, being romantic but not too a overly dramatic degree is in fact possible and I'm experiencing it right now. My bf is easy going and not romantic all the time, but when he is, it's amazing and I appreciate it more. He makes me ramen and we watch Naruto together. Nothing says romance like eating Ramen together and watching anime. ;D

I know several guys that won't have interest in a pretty girl because she already likes them. Girls are similar, how many girls do you know that date guys that clearly liked them? Most of it also has to do with the guy being clearly attracted but never asking.

i hope everyone here is fully aware that this is a thread that has no right or wrong answer. love is a ridiculous emotion that makes us all do ridiculous things, some good and some bad. for example: mix tapes. i remember doing this. now i look back and wonder why such a ridiculous idea sounded so awesome at the time
