I'll just let Last.fm's Paste Your Taste description do the work for me:

"I'm into experimental, rock, indie, singer-songwriter and ambient, including:

Dinosaur Jr., Devin Townsend, Benoît Pioulard, The Postmarks, Days of the New, Sebadoh, Fat Jon, Filter, Strapping Young Lad, Stone Temple Pilots, J Mascis and the Fog, The Folk Implosion, Jon Foreman, Devin Townsend Project, 3582, Kim Barlow, The Black Keys, Five Deez, General Patton vs. The X-Ecutioners, Punch Brothers, Cold, David Poe, Edgar Meyer, Lou Barlow, The Devin Townsend Band, Enter the Haggis, The Finches, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Mike Marshall & Chris Thile, Tonic, Third Eye Blind, The Beatles, Mindy Smith, Flaw, Peeping Tom, Regina Spektor, Tool, Disarmonia Mundi, Rubyhorse, Sky Salt, Ayreon, Bush, The Doors, Nickel Creek, Chris Thile & Edgar Meyer, Kings of Convenience, The Whigs, Pete Yorn & Scarlett Johansson, El Creepo, Röyksopp."

    Obscure? Maybe. Weird? YEAH.

well, paste your taste is not very accurate. for instance, here's mine:

I'm into indie, rock, electronic, hip-hop and experimental, including:
Animal Collective, Porcupine Tree, Atmosphere, Spoon, Radiohead, M.I.A., The Prodigy, Ladytron, Dirty Projectors, Manu Chao, M.O.P., Nirvana, Grizzly Bear, Queens of the Stone Age, Burial, Why?, Dr. Octagon, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Wu-Tang Clan, Tom Waits, Pineapple Thief, Pavement, Hardknox, Pink Floyd, Röyksopp, High Places, Arcade Fire, The Chemical Brothers, Deerhoof, Air, Spock's Beard, Roxy Music, the Gaslamp Killer, Madness, Regina Spektor, Annie, Amon Tobin, Moneybrother, OOIOO, Logistics, Sage Francis, Sufjan Stevens, Jay Reatard, The Flaming Lips, of Montreal, Petrol, Faith No More, The Clash, The White Stripes, Gordon Downie.

it just shows your top artists and derives your favorite genres from them. so drum & bass, idm and some other genres i listen to a lot that i have more compilations than the actual albums of don't show up. i guess i don't even have to mention the fact that it calculates your taste by the number of plays only and not ratings or something else...

Dalek I! This isn't their best song, but the only one of theirs I could find on YouTube. They were quite a fun band IMO

EDIT: Ah, if 'obscure' means "not very well known and weird," then Diamanda Galás! (Be prepared!)

I love classic 60's French singers like Francoise Hardy, Jacques Dutronc, and France Gall. Also Edith Piaf.

I enjoy listening to Maria Callas and Charlotte Church.

I also love rock from the 60's, most certainy the Doors. And I love cheesy pop love songs from the 60's, like with the Zombies, The Turtles, The Monkees, The Beatles, and and Herman's Hermits.

And I love music from Bollywood movies.
On this day of days, most epic and prideful, you were born 15 whole American years ago!
Through the odds and by doing the impossible, you beat out hundreds of thousands of siblings in the great sperm race for the coveted egg.
    Probably via hax.
    Regardless! You won!
So remember, whenever someone picks on you or calls you weak or small.
Just remind them that you beat out a few hundred thousand other wimps.

And the grand prize was not dying!

I like to listen to the music from F-Zero GX. It has a cool soundtrack, and I've been unable to find it on my "various sources"... So I suppose it's a bit out of the ordinary.
