I still have my N64. I play Starfox and Zelda CONSTANTLY.
I now know what hell sounds like; I recommend a tactical nuclear strike on my position. Tell my family I love them.
There's nothing like the classic old school systems, I don't care what "cutting-edge" technology is out there.
The snes / gameboy are both still my favorite systems.
I wouldn't say Gameboy was a fad in the 90's.
It was more like Poke'Mon was a fad in the 90's.
Seriously, How many kids did you know with gameboys who ONLY had Poke'mon games?
Whenever you looked at a kids on the playground with gameboys, what were they playing? 90% of them were playing Poke'mon.
Even the little gamer kids would wander around playing Poke'mon over their other gameboy games.
It's more like gameboy was only popular because Poke'mon was (Because honestly, who can even remember a gameboy game that was good that WASN'T poke'mon?)
Gameboy games didn't start getting good untill Advanced came out (And ironically the Poke'mon games started to get worse)
i love the older games, the good feeling, newest game with the best graphics are much more boring then the good old pixel-style games ^^
I love 'retro' gaming. Even as far back as the regular NES. Makes me sad I missed that, when I was young.
Some of the best games were back in the SNES era. The best Final Fantasy, without a doubt, was VI with Terra, Locke, etc. Best Super Mario was Super Mario RPG. Best Metroid was Super Metroid. Etc. Plus, you also got those really cool gems from that time period. Two of my favorite games came out for the SNES.
First being E.V.O. The Search for Evolution. Don't suppose anyone else ever played it?
Second being Front Mission, the first one. It had a great storyline.
I don't think Pokemon was as big in my area as it was else where,I knew kids who had GB specifically for tetris and mario games.I guess a couple kids had pokemon around here.I know i did.

I played pokemon too *shames*

I prefer old games before online gaming killed the FPS also good to see that OoT is still the highest rated game of all time.
I played the SNES when I was about 4. I got an N64 for Christmas the year it came out. After that I got a PS1, PS2, gameboy (color and advance). And in playing all the new systems, the old school (which I classify from N64 and back) are way better because the plots were original. Now you have the same plot being beaten with a tire iron repeatedly. Sure, some games are amazing but 95% of games are old hat plots that were made nice and shiny for the market. Old-school wins.
I loved super mario 64
Super Mario 64 was epic.As was donkey kong. And for some odd reason i wanna say Diddy Kong Racing after mentioning Donkey Kong.Does that game sound firmiliar to anyone?

i love old school systems, the snes being my favorite, but games today are still awesome
Hurray for Pkmn. I also play Super double dragon for the SNES since its soo fun and Sonic the Hedgehog for Genesis.
And a lesser known game, I still play Jumping Flash on the PS. Its such a fun game too.
Well we're both in NJ.
But you're 17. I'm 21. So it's more of an age diffrence thing.
Poke'mon started to die down by the time you were in elementary school. But when I was there? Obsessive.
They actually had to ban the trading card game in several schools in north jersey because kids were more worried about trading cards with eachother than actually doing school work.
Where in jersey are you batman?
