What's so great about it? It's pretty disgusting imho. Especially cup noodles. It's all watery and the noodles are all soggy. Not to mention the lack of any taste.

The only type of ramen I have ever liked is this spicy beef noodle soup kind.. I forget what the brand is.

I do eat the cup noodles, but I like the bowl noodles better. But there is this one ramen shop in my town and their ramen is so good! I go there 3 to 5 times a week haha.

Ramen is bland, has ridiculous amounts of salt and other preservatives, and the taste (what little there is) grows old very fast. There's 10 times the amount of salt in a cup ramen than there is in a can of soda.

I only eat it because I'm a poor college student.

Eh? Since salt really doesn't have much of a place in soda, this really shouldn't come as much of a surprise. In fact, I checked on a 1.5 liter bottle of Pepsi, and it contains 0.1 grams of sodium, less than 1% of the recommended daily intake.

I've had plenty of imported instant noodles from Japan. All labeled "ramen" in one way or another.

I actually prefer the Maruchan chicken flavor. Its like chicken soup, except lazier to make. I just add a lot of hot sauce and I'm good to go. *does the "good to go" Taco Bell hand sign*

It's moreso a marketing thing to attract foreigners who can't distinguish between real ramen and instant noodles.

I'm American (sadly T^T ....no offence) and I actually like our failed attempt at ramen but I've been to Japan and I have to say that we've got nothing on them in terms of ramen or pretty much any other food or drink! Lol! It's so much better there.....well, in my opinion, pretty much everything is better there! Haha!

Kind of like how Pasta Sauce from a Jar may not taste as good as home made pasta sauce, but no matter how you try to sell it, it's still pasta sauce.
