How You Came To AnimeForum

Just tell how you started coming to AnimeForum. If you were searching for random sites,or if a friend told you about it. Say what your first username was when you came. And who was the first person you became friends with.

Well, I found out about AnimeForum through Suko-chan. I was on fanfiction.net because I wrote a fanfic about Kingdom Hearts and Suko commented on it. We started talking a lot, and we added each other on MSN and Myspace. One night we were talking on MSN and she told me that she was on this site called AnimeForum in the chat. She told me that I should come and check it out. So I made an account, and my username was 'Kissyx'. That was when I was totally obsessed with Kingdom Hearts. And I first made friends with Bri, her username was Ophie at the time. But that was because she was friends with Suko. So other than her, I made friends with FoxMcCloud, PhoenixWrightAceAttorney, ApaWolf, and Sanctuary Alchemist. I think I have been here for around 3 or 4 years now. =D

I found AF when I was Google-searching for some lyrics of anime songs. First, I found AnimeLyrics.com. And from the links at the top I clicked "Forum" and I ended up here. I wasn't interested in being a part of the forum, since forums did not interest me in general. But when I made my first translit, I wanted to submit it here and I had to register an account for that. Yeah, I wasn't interested in the forum at all.

I stayed almost a month without really posting anything on the forum. But after my exams were over I found myself having a lot of leisure time so I was like "Why not?" And I started posting here. Eventually, I became part of the community... well, sort of. I didn't really get any friends here, except for probably one or two people. But I enjoyed being on this forum. I enjoyed every lulz moment of it.

 

And I enjoyed spamming it... just kidding... though I'm not in the mood...

Anyways, I'm still relatively a newb here. I've been posting for about three months. Just thought of writing my story here, in case anyone's interested.

I found out this site out by my brother, Khanxay.
Like any other little kid, I was hyped up on the word "anime" when he told me about it.
I didn't really start actively posting 'till a year ago. My first account was Pearl_Seraph or something like that. I was addicted to angels back then, especially Seraphs.

I wanted to find a site that had really nice anime pictures so I came across animegalleries.net first(it had tons of wonderful pictures♥). Then I clicked the chat button on the very top of the page and it led me to animeforum.com. And so I made an account, lots of them actually, but I'm only ever active on this one. <333~

How I found AF, well it was AG at that time. Long story short I met a girl 10 years ago. The site we met and visited to see each other was this site. Thats not a link to the actual site but its history.

In 2001 the site went offline. Shortly after I had some family issues that left me without a computer and internet for 2 years. The only way I could contact her was on that computer. So in 2003 I began searching anywhere and everywhere for her and found this gem. Hoping that our joy of anime would bring us back together.

Me with my uncanny sense I figured this website seemed like its the best. So I stuck here hoping one day she will find me. Hence why my username has never changed in all these years.

In October of 2008 I finally decided to come to AnimeForum and register, due to a friend of mine constantly always talking about it. She got me to join an RPG, and I have been stuck with it ever since...well, that is until it ended at the beginning of September. Heh I am glad that I actually decided to not be so stubborn for one of the first times in my life and caved into her bidding. If not for that, there is a lot of things that probably would not have happened. But just saying that is committing a logical fallacy.

ANYWAY...

Yes, that is how I began coming to AF -- My super hyper-active, soda addicted, insanely humorous, and hypersomniatic friend referred me here. The humorous thing behind it? She stopped coming here, and now I am the addict. Well, at least it is a healthy addiction (I hope), and I rather enjoy it. But I am still just as stubborn as ever.
