Annoying expressions
What are expressions that annoy you.
Two of mine are
"Unless you haven't noticed ..." There's a double negation here. You're basically saying that if someone has noticed something, you're informing them of it.
"Irregardless". Double negation again. "Regardless" makes sense, but "irregardless" does not.
Also, the RAS syndrome hurts me.
Hey look, Japan made a movie about me!
"Well, you don't have to take my word for it!"
"I just killed two birds with one stone!" (who does that?)
"Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when i'm angry!" (my general response to that is usually "well, I pretty much don't like you now, anyway.")

I remember seeing something on a news station about a poll done in America about the most overused phrases. Not surprisingly, "like" and "um" were at the top.
Personally, I can't stand "it is what it is."
Any of Robin's expressions from that Batman show. *shudders*
Example: "Jilikers Batman".
Yeah I don't know how to spell whatever the heck he says.
Eris, you'd hate learning Spanish. These people freakin' love double/triple/etc. negatives...

Hmm... I still don't get this. Can you elaborate please? Are you talking about something like: "Tu nunca sabes nada". Which means "You never know nothing".
You're informing them because the ignorant fools over looked what they noticed and ignored it, had said something stupid which would indicate that they didn't take any real notice to it.
I haven't heard anyone use Irregardless, that sounds like it is a simpletons excuse to be simple.

Yeah I remember reading that. I think the most overused phrase was, "Whatever." And I do agree that is the most overused phrase. It annoys the heck out of me.
i just hate it when people use like after every other word, its annoying. i keep concentrating on the like that i dont pay attention to what the person is saying

One that bothers me is when someone starts off a sentence with "So like..."
"Word."
When people online type like:
"how r u doin?"
I hate when people missuse words.
Like this one girl meant to say "I watched (showtitle) avidly when I was a child"
but what she SAID was "I watched (showtitle) vicariously when I was a child"
HOW DO YOU EVEN DO THAT???
Does she have some robot that transmits the show happenings to her
so that she doesn't have to be the one watching?
I don't think so.
I hate when some people use "indeed" as a part of their joke or something...

Indeed? And? Won't you say sorry? Or at least "I was just kidding"? I also dislike when people say "idd" instead of indeed. I read it as the letters, i-d-d instead of the word 'indeed'.
Wut? Indeed is awesome. It's like, you acknowledge the fact, without really saying anything more.

When you make a point, and you hear these 3 expresssions:
"So..."(in an I could care less, you're still wrong attitude)
"Okay???"(In a make a point(even though you just did), or a confused attitude)
"Fine!"(in an I hate you, whatever/stuck up attitude)
Those words will get on your nerves instantly.
I had an english teacher that got annoyed of the word "very", and would dock points if we used it in an essay.
Guesstimate.
