GIMP or GNU Image Manipulation Program is a free image editing software.
It can be compared with Adobe's Photoshop. Minus the expensive cost for its license.
Anyone else here using this software?

It's the only graphics program I use, since it's the only one available for my platform. And I'm not really having any trouble with it.
Hey look, Japan made a movie about me!
I don't use it ... I rather emulate photoshop cs2 via wine than use Gimp >_>;
Gimp is so lame ... but again, I'm too used working with photoshop that I just can't get on Gimp's level ~_~;
I use Gimp also, but I still have to learn all the other options I have available. I prefer using Paint Dot Net though. I use Gimp for making sets usually, and I use PDN for basic drawing. I'm still wondering if a Tablet is compatible with both of these programs though.

I use the GIMP with my wacom. Works pretty much out of the box (you need to fiddle a bit with the configuration to get it to work completely, but not a lot).

Well before gimp, I used to use my awesome "paint" drawings :]..
But now I mainly use gimp because my brother doesn't allow me to use photoshop. I also believe Photobucket has a image editing device somewhere in it but it isn't too good.

Well, I've never tried Gimp, but when my 30 day trial of Photoshop expires I may try using it instead of re-formatting my hard disk every 90 days or so.

-Raiken-,if you don't like photobucket's, I recommend picnik.com.

While GIMP may not be able to compare to Photoshop, it is legally free and it has everything Photoshop has to offer (minus of a few plug-ins here and there). Some of the members on here might think that GIMP sucks, that's not necessarily true, they might just suck at using it; the program itself is only as good as the user is. GIMP is a less user friendly than Photoshop is, but being over 600 USD cheaper, I will take the difficulty. While I am no expert by any means, I do have the hang of GIMP and if you need any help I would be happy to help up, even with a few of the more advanced techniques on the software. I can also help you find tutorials, brush, patterns and several other plug-ins. Hoped I helped >.>;
I never tried them but I am pretty happy with Adobe myself. I went to school to learn how to use it and its pretty awesome. The price for any Adobe products can be ignored for some people.

I used GIMP on my windows platform at one point in time. I liked it for what it had to offer. It has a lot of stuff that can be found in Photoshop. But I didn't like how everything was a bit scattered in different windows. So I decided to go back to Photoshop. Got the Student Edition of Adobe's Creative Suite for a fair price.

Yeah, GIMP is a very neat program. Just because it's free doesn't mean it's not good. Open source software are surpassing their commercial counterparts.
Oh, yeah, I use the GIMP. I'm not terribly good at it, though it does what I need for a menu icon or a spartan HTML page graphic here and there.
