I like pain. Jariah trained him and taught him to fight trusting in him to find a way to bring peace to the shinobi world. After losing his friends he lost his "way". After facing naruto he found the hope that he once had and entrusted naruto to bring peace and saved the village and brought back the dead in the village to atone for his sins.

Indeed, I also loved those arguments, with Sasori insisting on "true art is the one that lasts forever, as my puppets" and Deidara replying "That's absurd! Art is beauty when it lasts for a single moment, art is an explosion!", those two really made a nice pair (though my favourite was Itachi&Kisame)

I think the puppet masters in Naruto are really cool, so of course I like Sasori. I like Deidara because his clay attacks are really cool. I also like how they see themselves as artists.
