There is such a thing as a good superhero movie?
Well Ironman was alright. I haven't watched the entire Batman: The Dark Knight movie, but I thought that it was pretty cool.
Not as far as I'm concerned, unless it's a farce. I define a movie as good if it's compelling enough for me to part with thirty dollars or so to own it, and I've yet to come across one worth thirty bucks.Originally Posted by SigmaSD

Getting back to topic, have there ever been any good BLACK superhero movies?
Blankman and Meteor Man sucked. I didn't see Steel, but I heard that sucked too.
WATCHMAN is a porn movie-why was Dr. Manhattan nude if it wasn't porn? Was the sex scene graphic? Were the people having sex married or were they fornicating? Why is the main heroine running around with her lingerie on the outside of her costume, and wearing a form-fitting costume if it's not porn?

On topic, Watchmen is not porn as there was no on camera intercourse, and the brief moments of nudity were via cgi.
As for form-fitting, I think upwards of 80% of comic book superheroes wear form fitting outfits.

People liked Blade but that is a movie about vampires and I don't watch films about witchcraft.

Not all nudity is porn. There are a lot of respected works of art that portray the human body without clothes. Raphael did many of these, the Sistine Chapel by Michaelangelo dipicts many characters as nude. These are all accepted by the catholic church as art and not pornography. Trust me there are none more strict in their Christianity than the Catholics.

I am not going to go into the whole "Dr. Manhattan-is-WAY-too-god-like-to-worry-about-clothes" thing but, according to your logic, I guess every other superhero movie (existing or soon to be) is porn due to the form-fitting costumes (Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Green Lantern, etc). But I am not going to go there.
There are not that many GOOD Black superheroes (there are plenty of them but only so many of them are actually worth talking about), so there are only so many movies about Black superheroes (and only so many of them are actually good).
Oh and by the way:
Vampires =/= witchcraft...by any stretch of the imagination (heck, witchcraft is not even mentioned in the movie, so I have no I idea where you got the idea that vampires are somehow related to witchcraft). I shouldn't have to point out the rather obvious reason why I know this, but I would appreciate it if you got you facts straight.

I'd say that's not a bad number.
These ladies and gents listed make for interesting African American Heroes/Heroines. Most could or have done moderatly decent movies (Excluding Steel...RAAGGEE) as solo heroes, and the ones that couldn't would be fine as characters in a team movie (Such as Falcon in an avengers film, as an example)
If they do decide to go through with the Black Panther movie, I'm all over it. I'd be all over it if they decided to give Ult. Nick Fury a movie (Starring Samuel L Jackson, of course). And I could even get behind a War Machine spin off.
Of course, those are only heroes I find interesting.

I don't know why people hate Superman-some of the Superman stories are among the most brilliant comic book/comic related stories ever written.

Yeah, though not sure if they would get their own movie. Not that they are not interesting (most of them are), just that they might not get their own movie. Then again, they are thinking about making a Wonder Twins movies, so....
So let me get this straight: you are asking about good superhero movies, in yet, you haven't even seen the new Superman or Batman movies? What other movies haven't you seen? And why are even complaining about anything in Watchmen when you haven't even seen the freaking movie?
Apparently, the only thing that your naughty self can focus on is the ONE sex scene, the perpetually naked character (and only on his genitals), and the skimpy clothes of one of the very few female characters. Yeah, forget the mind-blowing violence that is present (a pregnant woman is killed in this movie), just focus on the sex, which is what a God-fearing Christian would do.
And yes, nowhere in the Bible does it say that we are supposed to murder people and drink their blood, however:
1. Those events happen in the Bible anyway...on multiple occasions...by multiple people...who are not subsequently punished.
2. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that we are supposed to fly, shoot heat and lasers of our eyes, use powerful rings to lift objects, talk to fish, change into animals and other people, have super strength, have super speed, repel bullets, be cyborgs or wear skin tight clothes and/or armor.

I know enough about Watchmen to know I don't want to see it. I saw a TV guide special about it a while back. They play the song "Hallelujah" during the love scene, that's one one the MOST SACRILEGIOUS SCENES in the whole movie.
