The Pusher Robot. Or the Shover Robot, for that matter.
I don't trust stupid people. They're unpredictable. Come at you out of nowhere. No clear discernible for their actions. ... I really should finish that idiot repellent spray I was working on.
If you trust the government, you fail at democracy. Since it is the mandate of the government to realize the will of the people, just assuming they'll do their job would be negligent to the point of stupidity. Nobody with that sort of power should be trusted, because of the horrors that would be unleashed if they didn't do their job properly. Though both extremes of the scale is stupid. Unfounded tin foil hat wearing paranoia is not constructive either.

Hey look, Japan made a movie about me!
I do not deny that being cautious, even a tad vigilant to a point is both healthy and wise for the people in regards to their governments (regardless of country). Blind trust or distrust either way is an awful idea, and yes, does register as stupidity.
However, as I said before, I usually believe that it's those whom openly proclaim they don't trust the government (in zealousness fashion) that are the most unstable and crazy, and willing to do something way out of line.
Timothy McVeigh, John Walker Lindh, anyone?
Whoever said they don't trust Australia, is dead on!
Everyone thinks the US, Russia and North Korea are trying to take over the globe, but it's actually Australia that will do so. We lure your students to our shores and then brainwash them with our meat pies and Tim Tams and just when you think you've escaped by fleeing back to your own country... the Tim Tams follow you! MWAHAHAHAHA...

I don't trust people who believe the government is after you. What great big ego you have, grandma! "The government is tapping my phone calls"! Why the hell would the government tap some stupid conversation between you and your friend? Also the whole "government is after me, don't trust the media" people. The government is trying to screw everyone, not just you.
things that cant be trusted huh...

Two examples of extremists proves nothing and does nothing to support your point. I can counter both of your examples by asking two others in my household if they trust government, to which both say no. Neither of them are violent, unstable, or "willing to do something way out of line." You will find that most people in most countries are not so trustful of government; and I mean distrust, not simply possessed of a cautiousness. This applies both to 1st world and 3rd world countries. Ask the Brits how trustful they are of their Parliament right now, or their last couple PMs. Ask any African how well they trust their respective "nation" and its government (I use the term nation loosely).
I consider myself an intelligent, rational person. I also consider myself educated enough in the history of governments, and aware enough of current doings of governments, to be distrustful of governments. My lack of trust in governments is exactly why I remain active as a constituent to make sure my representative continues to represent me (and their other constituents). Eris is completely correct that representative governments require a level of distrust on the part of the people directed toward the government for them to work.

ahahhahahahha i agree with your husband too...
well back on subject, there are also women who break hearts, not just bleed unnaturally and survive, and to that i say men are men we can take a untrustworthy woman, well most of us that actually have balls can... girls on the other hand are full of intensified emotions then men usually tend to not really give a damned about... so theyre untrustworthy bastards in my opinion, except sataned hes too good to be untrustworthy ...
so yeh..BOTH GENDERS ARE UNTRUSTWORTHY! especially fatgirls...
PS: does any of that make sense? i dont read what i type about 80% of the time
First of all myself, then the government, loquacious people claiming that they can keep secrets, commercials of new products saying how their things are effective, vulgar people.

You can't trust anyone or anything that has been proned to lie. Enough said.
Anyone over 30?
Or 13.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.
I can't (fully) trust anyone.
Even myself.
