Almost totally completed the story part.
the game itself is cleared, hardmode.
14 riddles left total, which equates to
4 more joker teeth
3 more interview tapes (All of which are scarecrows)
2 more trophies
3 more character profile unlocks (And judging by the clues, it's Ras al Ghul, Hugo Strange, and probably Black Mask)
3 more question mark's (So some of these did piss me off a bit)
1 more Spirit of Arkham, and I know who it is since 10 of them ago =/
Loved just about everything in the game.
It shines on hardmode as the spider-sense lines no longer appear over enemies heads when they attack, making it much more challanging, as well as making the gargoyles a failable hiding spot as opposed to "Lawl i'm up heers now u can't gets me"
The story was great, with ONE exception.
I did like that it hinted at a sequel. Twice.
One in the fasion Batman Begins did when they mention
and the other at the end of the credits with
Awesome game, can't put it down.
But...I maaay be a little biased.

I'm all glazed over right now and I haven't even finished my first playthrough yet.
I've probably got the following left to pick up:
- 5 more bios
- A few more tapes
- 8 or so more Spirit of Arkham Chronicles
- About 50 more Riddler challenges, because I just got the ultra batclaw and escaped the cave (on my way to Ivy, I think).
I may try to play it again on hard after I've had a break for about a week.
My god its been so long since we had a good batman game, let alone FREAKING AWESOME! They really hit the nail on the head with this one. thank god this didnt end up being tied in with the recent movies (although they are quite good)
Thanks to Wolley for the sexay siggeh! Good work, Wollz!

I still haven't had a chance to get this. I've been contemplating just buying it on the Steam system, but every fibre of my being tells me to just wait until I get into a brick-and-mortar store to compare prices first.
That, and to make sure my bank account has enough funds for when I just end up buying it on Play.com. Seriously, £24.99 vs £29.99 on Steam and £34.99 RRP? Yeah, considering I'm on holiday for a week, I can wait.

I just crashed the party at the end. When I tried to go back out to Arkham West, the door was locked. I still had a few statues to get. I can go back and get them, right -Batman-?
If I can't, and have to replay the entire game, I'm going to blow a gasket and never want to pick this game up again.
Yeah, you can go back out once you clear the game.
No new game+ or anything like that however afterwards.
Just a free roam to find everything you've missed.
And if you haven't done so, i'd reccomend taking out all of the "Party Guest" black gate prisoners. You get an achievment/trophy for doing so.
Edit: and I am also 3% away from a total game clear.

Great news, that's a relief.
I took out the guards out of spite and got an achievement for it earlier today. After that is when I tried to walk back out and found I was locked in. Out of all the fights thus far, I find the twin titan henchmen with all the guards has been the most difficult. I halfway expected Ivy to be the tough fight, but she wasn't so bad.
By the way, do any of you guys have some tips for the Invisible Predator challenge mode? Trying to acquire the achievement for using only silent takedowns and without being detected. This is proving extremely tedious and difficult.
Or any tips for acquiring medals in any of the challenge modes, for that matter.
The achievment is very vague.
You can still use your gadgets, you can't can't take out any henchman with them, only silent takedowns.
One trick I used was taking out all the henchman I could, then using the sonic batarang to draw a guard away. Take him out, repeat.
That method is guranteed to work as a guard will always go to check out the sonic batarang alone. It's more time consuming then anything.
And of course, you can still just take out guards that wander away from the main group.
During the predator challenges, I love doing inverted takedowns to the point where it's becoming a hinderance. Getting in position for that is just too time consuming, so I've been exploring other techniques.
The ultra batclaw is proving useful in the combat challenges.
My Batman's power-level has risen.
I believe I mis-read the release date. Turns out I need to wait until the 18th of this month for the game to be released on PC.
However, I still don't mind waiting.

Find a diffrent pattern for each map.
I (at this point it's bragging) managed to get number one spot on the PS3 leaderboards for the Record Breaker (Extreme) map.
Last I checked it was 37 seconds, not sure if I'm still top as I haven't checked in a while, but I was there for a while.
And for that it involved reseting the challange. A lot. And doing just that map over and over again untill I found a perfect pattern.
Despite the game boasting "unique AI that never plays the same" the AI is still predictable within reason, once you can predict them you're more or less gold.
Anyone know how to do the challenge where you have to use explosive gel to take out 3 guys at the same time using different walls?
-Batman-: I have the Xbox version, and the leaders on those boards have very similar times. It's just sickening and I just can't picture a way of doing those harder challenges with such haste.
Yes.
right as you start go right into the room where killer crocs cell and the one joker riddle are.
You'll see that you can use explosive gel on the ceiling above a desk against the wall. Use the gel on it.
Now quickly exit and use grapple gun to get atop the small office structure with the two windows. Use explosive gel on the floor there.
Now quickly pull out your Zip Line and zip across to the section to the north, and drop down.
The most obvious of the weak walls is here, with a lone guard always standing right on the other side.
Use the gel on this next. wall. Now make your way back to the office structure with the two windows, you're clear of explosions here and you can see the entire room with detective vision.
If you're patient, the guards will eventually be in blasting range of all three walls.
If you're fast enough, you shouldn't have to wait and just be able to detonate upon getting back atop the office structure.
Make sure you get 3 and only 3 guards, if you get anymore than it becomes impossible to complete both of the remaining objectives.
the one I managed was actually really simple once I got the formula down pat, the most difficult part was the guards cooperating.-Batman-: I have the Xbox version, and the leaders on those boards have very similar times. It's just sickening and I just can't picture a way of doing those harder challenges with such haste
Oh, and to save time I'd select gadgets with my chin while running as to not stop running.

Thank's for that Batman I will try next time i'm on.
Turns out that people pirating the PC version have had a bit of a problem. Someone innocently asked on the Eidos forums about a bug in the game where, when attempting a glide jump past some poison gas, Batman would just spread his wings and fall right down to his death.
I have to question his intelligence for asking on official forums when the game isn't even out yet...but an admin replied with this:
While I have no doubt that the pirates have already figured a way around this, I have to say that those first players were well and truly screwed hard. The problem you have encountered is a hook in the copy protection, to catch out people who try and download cracked versions of the game for free.
It's not a bug in the game's code, it's a bug in your moral code.

I'm playing through on the hard difficulty right now. I've managed to make it all the way to Poison Ivy, and holy smokes.
She's giving me hell right now with no end in sight.
EDIT- I recently beat it on hard this morning, so for anyone that might want to play through this game on hard, here's some helpful tips for Titan Ivy (the worst fight in the game).
1. Quick throw batarangs as fast as possible, even if her pod isn't open. They do tiny amounts of damage, and a last second batarang might hit her JUST as she open up. This is an obvious advantage, as you won't have to get hit by more orbs as you try to stop and throw during battle.
2. Simply concentrate on avoiding her. She deals out heavy damage with her vines. If you can dodge all of those (or 98% of them), you've got her as long as you're picking and choosing your battles with her henchmen carefully.

Yeah, once I got the hang of the quick throw batarangs, Hard Ivy went down a little easier than Normal Ivy (aside from the annoying henchmen with lots of HP).
