I think you're not the only one, because some of the persons I know are happy though they're single. And happiness can be attained not only in having a boy/girlfriend. But on the other side, having relationship is okay too. It depends on an individual.

I would have to say that I don't need a girl friend to keep me happy. My friends seem to act as if they always need a girlfriend. Asking me when I'm going to get one. I've only had 2 girl friends in my life and only kissed one. Neither were very nice at all. What would make me want to rush into a relationship? The real truth is however, that I would be afraid of growing old without a significant other, being lonely when old.

I respectfully disagree. Women do not hold all the cards in interactions, just one that is really important to us. They can provide many things that gaming could never do. Like a genuine social connection, love, hate, friendship, headaches, etc. Actually both can provide pretty efficient migraines but anyways you just can't really compare the two. One is a block of metal, plastic, screws, and stuff while the other is a living being.

However right now, I personally don't care for a girlfriend. I just wanna get into art school.

I have been apart from my ex for over 3 years now, I have been meeting a lot of new girls going out most of them are legal age but are still too young for me and plus they sometimes a bit too girly for me.

I need a girl round my age and likes to be on a "real" level playing field with me. thats one of the things my ex said she did but was never able to keep it up due to her sisters medaling and fuss.

I broke up with my boyfriend in December and am happier without him. He was too serious about everything, including our relationship.
When I was younger and hadn't been involved yet, I thought it would solve all my problems if only I had a partner of some sort. It didn't. I've dated both genders and have concluded that being single is cool.

I am deathly afraid of being alone. I don't know how I would survive if I didn't have people to love and people that love me. I'm not really in a relationship now, and while I don't necessarily feel like a need a relationship, not having one is hurting me on a very real level.

I'm not really the "clingy" type, per say, but I attach quite easily, and without something to attach to, I always feel emotionally drained.

its an unfortunate mentality really. i've seen great girls wind up with jerks "just cuz". if they had waited a bit maybe they would have found someone better

I am single and don't think of it as a bad idea at all. I mean, life can get lonely at times, specially when you are having hard times - when you need someone other than your family members to depend on, but well, it makes me stronger. However, that doesn't mean that I don't want a bf. I want to have one, but how should I put it.. mom and my bio dad got divorced many years ago because he was a jerk who had a lot of affairs and my current step dad has betrayed mom once. Looking at those experiences, I guess I become unconsciously picky. Every time a guy came and we'd start dating, I always feel that I'm not ready.. yet. All the time. It's like I'm searching for something that I don't know myself.
