Tragedy: Driver kills Father

Summary- A thirteen year old boy kills his father while said parent was teaching him how to drive. The boy pins his father against a tree. The father is screaming and the boy is crying. When police arrived on scene, the father was pronounced dead on site. Son unlikely to be charged.

Who's fault was this? Besides that, this is one of the most twisted things I've read lately.

Neither, things happens. I think it was dumb and careless on the father's part. He should known, if you're going to teach your 13-year old son how to park stay in the car with him.

Pops wanted to work on his abs so he figured his son could help him. The kid drove with too much force and tried to hit the brakes. The father died but had some nice washboard abs upon death.

Lesson: Get ABS and some better brake pads.

The father must've saved fifteen percent on his car insurance by switching to GEICO.

the father shouldnt have let the kid drive, unfortunatly thats what happened. and thats why you have to be 16 or over to drive

What makes you think someone is at fault? This seems like a textbook case of an accident.

Well where i currently live it is actually common for a 13 year old to drive, but that is because it is usually in a farm/country environment.

I think I get what that quote from somewhere means...
That is just sad. The boy is probably guilty.

Accident or not, the father should of been watching his son better and not letting his thirteen year old son drive by himself. Very bad mistake that he won't be able to regret.

Hindsight is always 20/20. There is no such thing as an ideal parent that does everything they should do. People make mistakes.

I guess you have a good point. Now the son will have to live with this the rest of his life knowing that he killed his father. I actually feel bad for him in a way.

A rather saddening article to be sure. Although there is certainly nothing that can justify this accident, I sincerely hope that those who parents who are aware of what has transpired here will take to heart the necessary awareness and caution of keeping an eye on their children, especially when they take part in potentially dangerous practices, such as driving a car.

And, really; regardless of how instinctively talented and/or gifted a child may be, don't allow them to do things like driving a car when they've barely become a teenager. Take it one step at a time and do it right.

I wish this young man all the strength he'll ever need for the burden he now carries. Truly, I wouldn't wish such a harsh reality on anyone.

Well the problem I found wasn't that he was teaching his son to drive at 13, it was that he was dumb enough to go ok son, I'm going to let you try to park this car and I'm going to stand outside the car and see if you do it right. I don't feel sorry for anyone in this matter. So what now the son has to live with the guilt of killing his father, oh well he'll get over it shortly and go on with his life.

I feel sorry for the son and for the father. Condolence to the family. The said tragedy was an accident, I can't say that someone is at fault.

I wonder if the father made the child read the Drivers booklet first before driving, then maybe this accident wouldn't had happened.
All in honesty, I don't really feel sorry for the kid. That's like saying you feel sorry for MJ when you didn't exactly know him personally.
