Formed in 1998 by Atsushi and Nakayama, ストレイテナーplays rock, alternative rock, and power pop with a heavy focus on melody. Original consisting of only Atsushi and Nakayama, Hidekazu Hinata joined the band to play the role of lead guitarist in 2003. The band has released many albums over the years, STRAIGHTEN IT UP in 2000, ERROR in 2001, SKELETONIZED in 2002, LOST WORLD’S ANTHOLOGY and ROCK END ROLL in 2004, TITLE and STRAIGHTENER Early Years in 2005, Dear Deadman in 2006, and LINEAR and the EP IMMORTAL in 2007. Bassist Hidekazu Hinata joined the band in late 2008 after leaving the band ART-SCHOOL, for the first time making the band a quartet.

They released their latest album, NEXUS in Feburary, and are releasing their newest single, a double A-Side “CLONE/Donkey Boogie Dodo” on August 5th
