I play them, but not as frequent, there's just no time for me to go through the text (I ctrl all the way most of the time). Oh, and without text-hookers.
As a former hardcore console gamer I find the novel concept boring too (wasn't much of a fiction reader in the first place), so I prefer playing HRPGs or any sort of action involved other than just clicking for the next line (mahjong, racing etc).

I can't remember the last eroge I (seriously) played, but the one I have a love-hate relationship with is Prism Ark. The second from last ending put me off from completing the final character's route; not only have I gone through 7 chars along a repetitive lame RPG system and main storyline, I dislike every aspect of the second-final character in question, even the seiyuu voicing her. And milking it with a fandisc and a poor anime adaptation was the last straw.
