Yesterday they blocked 4chan.org.
I mean really how stupid can you be? They just hit a wasp nest with a stick, now they will pay the price.
I do not post on 4chan though some here may think I do for certain reasons.
Youtube search it and find the many videos.

What do you think?
Should internet providers do this?
What will be the backlash?

AT&T weren't blocking the site. moot already posted a report on what really happened in 4chan status. As it was posted on the blog, it was a poorly executed maneuver to remedy a problem they were having. Why block /b/ and /r9k/ instead of the whole site from the beginning?

/b/ dwellers where already planning and executing their counter attack, though it was half-hearted, after all 4chan is not 4chan anymore. I don't go into /b/ but when I heard the news last night I decided to visit the board: it seemed a little slow; I entered a thread where they were discussing their course of action and... really, they were a bunch of people saying "HELL YEAH!" to some "good idea" but ended up getting distracted by something shiny along the way.

On the other hand, companies shouldn't say what their customers should see on the internet and what not. Regardless of it being 4chan or any other site.

I never really been to 4chan. only heard stories and a website being taken down for profanity. I dont think the site will stay down for long. I have been to a site that was taken down by the FBI only to be back up online the next day or so. (Removed for Copyright Violations I'm sure.)
