    Default sexuality

    hey guys
I'm doing a major school project, I'd love it if you gave me your thoughts on sexuality in anime, specifically in the depiction of women. What do you think women usually represent in anime, why do you think this is, etc. Just any thoughts you have on the topic would be really helpful

    Thanks!

oh, and by anime I'm referring to all demographics - female oriented, male oriented, and for any age. Just a generalization regarding all the demographics.

Women usually represent an object of desire!

For example: Underage loli characters with their panties half off [It's not a Macy's Special! It's Kodomo no Jikan!]

For example: Ultra-skimpy outfits in Queen's Blade. LOLOL

I'm sure there's plenty of other opinions, but here's just one to get you started! ;D

Anime women for most fan boys not all of them is a

    sex
symbol, mostley because of what they wear, the sailor school uniform, maid and nurse outfits, cat girls, bunny girls, all those things are what appeal to most anime loving men (again not all of but to most)

I think an easy answer would be to just watch Hentai instead of having to write a 100 page paper of what females represent in the Anime industry. Also watch School Days now that you're at it.

The industry's so screwed up nowadays, but nobody's complaining!

I suggest you also talk about Moé:

For example, 眼鏡っ娘萌え, meganekko-moe, "glasses-girl moe", describes a person who is attracted to fictional characters with eyeglasses. "Moe!" is also used within anime fandom as an interjection referring to a character the speaker considers to be a moekko. It is even used in some anime, such as Ouran High School Host Club, Ai Kora, Lucky Star, Kaichou-wa Maid-sama!, The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya and K-ON. There are various interpretations of what moe is today.
I see K-On made it into the list! About time. ;D

Throw the Tsundere personality into the mix as well.

    Edit:

Hey, are you sure you want to make a presentation on this? Honestly, I would blush in front of class as soon as I explain the women are usually seen as a sex symbol in Anime...
