Ok...
It's after midnight and I'm just watching some shows on adult swim when I see a commercial I haven't seen about an upcoming movie.
As I'm watching it I keep thinking, damn this plot sounds pretty familiar.
Then, I could have sworn I heard the name Saya.
I also heard something about vampires and I started to think; oh no, they couldn't have.
Then they show the title of the film and the release date...
Blood: the last vampire.
At this point, I was thinking: no way, I hope this is just a huge coincidence in titles.
There's no way they could have taken Blood+ and...
So I jump online and search the title on imdb and sure enough;
They are making a live action movie based on Blood+ (specifically, the anime movie Blood: the last vampire, obviously)
I'm not sure if this is common knowledge in the anime community, but I just found out and...
Now, the fact that they call Saya and chiropterans vampires doesn't completely bother me (though it's still irritating).
The fact that none of the original writers, producers, or director are involved definitely worries me.
I'm just worried that they are going to completely rape this anime/manga the way "others" destroyed dragonball recently.
Anyone have any thoughts about this?
