has God ever saved or helped you

Has anyone been saved or helped by what they think or know was God. Please understand I know this topic is very sensitive so please make sure to respect everyone's replies as they're all import regardless of beliefs.

I have had one when I was 7. I was climbing on boxes in a warehouse at my Dad's old job. It was a company that delivered gods to markets. So I liked to climb really high on the boxes that would be stacked as high as 100-150 feet high. I always seemed to make it to the top fine and back down again. Though one day while climbing up at around 70 feet high, I slipped and hell backwards off the edge of the box I was on. The next thing I knew I was on the ground feet on the floor as if I never left that spot. There was not even a scratch on any inch of me. I truly think God himself was the one who lifted me to a safe place and kept from dieing that day.

Well let's see if I am brutally attacked for this reply but myself, I do not believe in such a god but I do question it at times and how I always somehow survive getting hit by cars. I have been hit by a car at least three times in my lifetime, almost hit five hundred times and thought about being hit another million.

Luck? Someone looking out for my well being? I don't know.

Ive been screwed over by God 100's of time's but never saved. (I don't actually belive in God but if God does exsist he's screwing me over).

I guess helped me get my life back together but then again it could have been just the people around me because around the same time they changed too.

Well fresh start on the forum...I can be the *** I was many full moons ago...Or I can approach this topic with maturity and sensitivy. One expected by the masses, one not so much.

So I shall simply reply with an honest answer.

Had I been saved by God in the past, I would not have known, for such a being would be omnipresent, and unknown to me.
So for all I know, a God of some kind may have saved me from meeting my end...Hell, right now as I type this, but I would never know for sure, how could I?

This sounds like a thread Mavericker would enjoy. Anyway, I can't be saved by something that isn't really there. Christians may say something like, "You won't be going to heaven for that." but I'm not one to care. I'm a realist. I know that something imaginary can't do a thing to truly help us. People can believe that something imaginary "saves" them. It just makes me see them as the insane.

God can't save people from being raped, killed, or taken by disease. Only people can save people from all of that and even so, there is only a chance that stopping a person from raping or killing another and stopping a disease from taking another person's life can happen. If we fail, we fail. There is nothing we can really do about it since man is flawed.

I agree with this 100%. God is only our creator, not our parent that punishes us or awards us whenever we do something. Everyone gets different experiences which are both good and bad, so no one really gets punished or "screwed". That's just how life goes.

To make a long story short; I was riding on my bike, checked the time on my mobilephone, when I arrived on school I couldn't feel it in my pocket anymore so I called my parents, they said: "what're you talking about? Your mobilephone is right here on the table,".

I guess that's a sign of God helping me? I'm not really sure.

Wrong. The only creator is the unity of man and woman...or science if you include cloning. Those different experiences are determined by what's going on in the situation, how everything is laid out and what's to be done. It's not God's will and it's not luck.

You misplaced it and your parents found it. Misplacing an item is normal in life. Finding it is normal as well but it wouldn't mean you were "saved". You forgot it was there. Perhaps you left in a hurry, thinking you were going to be late? That could explain why. Concrete fact explains a lot.

This wasn't a life or death situation, but I used to drive this old junker of a car I think it was a 79 fairmont, but I could be wrong. It was in 1998 and I was driving home from work in the afternoon when it started to rain. Now in this car nothing worked the defrost was broke so was the heater and the radio was also broke. Not much worked in this car. So when it started to rain my windows fogged up so bad I couldn't see out of them and I pulled over on a little road that dead ended and you couldn't turn around on you could only back out, and the road I had to back out on is a very busy road, at that point the car also stalled and I couldn't get the car to start. So I bowed my head and prayed that god would help me with this situation. After I prayed my car started up and the defrost started to work and even the radio worked, and when I backed up the road which is usally really busy was completly empty and I backed out with ease. I made it home without a problem. Nothing in the car worked the next day, but that one of the miracles God did for me.

An employee could have caught you and set you safely on the ground or you could have fallen onto something soft. Sometimes, a person can lose sense of reality on their way down from a high fall. They think, "Oh crap, I'm going to die because of the action I made." and then can't believe that a human or some soft surface saved them. In addition, you didn't give enough detail in your story to make a person believe that God helped you.

There are tons of employees in a factory. Someone had to have noticed you so don't tell me otherwise.

Your brain helped you answer. God can't do your essay and God can't provide you with answers that a book provides. It was your motivation to open up a book and study that got you a B.

Something like that happened to me once when I went sledding with a friend. I thought it was an awesome coincidence that when we hit an ice bump on the hill I flew off and landed on my feet down at the bottom on the street instead of rolling the way down like my friend did.
