the one time i tried it at a sleepover, the board spelled out james. we all got really scared and put the board away. but then we played light as a feather, stiff as a board. we all screamed when my friend floated a bit.
we were in a church in my old town when i was eleven. who knows if we actually did experience ghosts or if we were just terrified of a hundred some year old church at one a.m.
Depending on the angle they're held at, they're handy for bouncing paper balls into the trash bin. Kind of like a ghetto, crooked backboard.
Bad Memory
Never have never will. I'm the type of guy that runs to his room in the middle of the night because he thinks believes in curses, witches and all that jazz. I believe in curses, even though coincidence can always be a big factor in activites like using the ouijia board.
P.S. I'm scared of Haitian voodoo not ghosts.
One of my friends has tried the Ouija board and it kinda weirded me out.
I would never try something like that, I'd be inviting evil spirits into my home and endangering myself and my family. Its very frightening.
I dont mess with all the crazy, paranormal, spirit-calling stuff. I leave it alone.
i played once and it was dumb.
Does the game Monopoly have speical powers too?
Just curious.
The Brighter the Light the Darker the Shadow
did once nothing happened
As a practicing Witch, I will admit to this: I do not own a Ouija board and I have never used one. Ever. Not even with my friends. Of all the "weird" things that I have done, using a Ouija board is not one of them. Hell, I couldn't even tell you what one is far (I barely have a clue).
Not that I am skeptical of Ouija boards. I have just do not much of an interest for them.
This is my war face.

I haven't, but my teacher has with her friends. She told us that she was at a sleepover and her friend bought it in order to see if it really worked, foresay. They proceeded with the whole common and expected process, a dark room, candles, and a seance from a book of black magic that her friend had received with the purchase of the board. Apparently, the board spelled out "Devil," teacher and her friends ran out screaming and later burned the board at sunrise (as how it is said in order to rid of any curses that might have followed the board and vice versa). I didn't believe it, but my teacher was pretty freaked out when she told us the story.
Some of my friends and I made a makeshift Ouija board when we couldn't figure out the answers to these beastly science problems. I think we got some of them right too. That's about it for my use of such a thing.
I've used one before and it spelled out a whole bunch of things but that's because my friend was slightly moving it. She admitted it right after. It's easy to slightly move it without others noticing.
I used one once..
I asked the name of the person who liked me and it spelled her name and then it started levitating and threw my friend across the room, and then the phone rang and I answered it and the person on the other side of the line was like "you have seven days"..
no actually nothing happened... i think we just stared at it for a long time...
Toys R Us and Wal-Mart now have the glow in the dark Ouija Board!
Aside from that, I've never played it. Although, the stories I've heard about the Ouija Board wouldn't be appropriate for me to put here. ;[
i am followed by spirits everyday...
it's not necessary to call them using the O Board...
but i saw a video once that talked about people who uses the OB to call on Spirits and it was not funny...
and using it is a stupid thing to do..
especially if you are not with people who practices the Dark Arts or people who are masters in dealing with paranormal activities....
i don't think i would. i never want to deal with unknown things that exists in our world. i don't want to freak my self out like those who played.
Illusionists
Hmm...considering the serious abrasion that is occurring, I would rather not mention (or even think about) my teacher...if she can be referred to as such anymore (that might sound like a terrible thing to say about one's teacher, considering that one is usually lucky to find a teacher but...let's just say I am happy to be away from her). Some advice, if you find a teacher, do some background checks (not trying to dissuade you or anything).
ANYWAY (getting away from the negative), its always nice to meet fellow practitioners, especially in different parts of the world.
Hmm...again, I haven't used a Ouija board but I can't imagine that they would be anymore "dangerous" to use by someone less than magically inclined than tarot cards. I mean, the name "Ouija board" is a registered trademark of Hasbro; its basically a board game (again, I am not skeptical of using a Ouija board; I simply have other methods of divination and am not really interested in Ouija boards).
I believe that Ouija boards (or any spirit board) are basically divination tools. And just like any tool, one needs to have the right knowledge and skills to use them properly (or even to use them at all). Could a group of random teenagers use a Ouija board to contact spirits? Not really. COULD it work? Possibly. Is this going to happen each time? Not likely.

off topic and not wanting to thread jack but the only "divination" that I can do is using dousing rods. Those sticks you use to find water. Given that I can use and believe in those it may seem silly but I don't believe in Quija boards
Nothing but a waste of mulaaah and time.

I asked a friend to let me use his board. But it never moved.
Either aliens or magic.
As for the Ouija board, I have never tried it. I've only heard of the weird things that happened, like poltergeist related stuff, nightmares etc. Knowing me I'll probably try it sometime due to my curiosity.
Btw, I heard that you could only get rid of a Ouija board by giving it away or by burning it. Otherwise it will keep coming back, is it true? (probably a stupid question)
I have never used one before. I don't ever plan to either.
