Haha, I think this will be a rather interesting thread. Just say what your guilty pleasure is. I would have to say mine is those stupid MTV Real World reality shows. As much as I hate to admit it, I love watching those shows. I don't know why, but it is just funny with all the drama over little things and the challenges and all that. Haha, but what is your guilty pleasure?

It's basically when you like something that you shouldn't.

Smoking is bad, but people still do it knowing that.

Eating sweets is bad, but people still do it knowing that.

And so on and so on.

So basically tell us something you KNOW is bad, but you still enjoy doing.

Something that you're supposed to feel "guilty" for liking because it's considered weird, unpopular, etc. But you enjoy it nonetheless.

As for me, I don't watch much tv ...

But the Golden Girls are awesome. Nothing like watching a bunch of old ladies make sexual innenudos and jokes at each other, rofl.

... and the occasional drama. Not that I usually like watching lifetime, but if i'm bored or that's all that's on, i'll probably watch it if it can hold my attention and seems interesting enough.

i like to stay up late and be very nerdy :O haha its bad because i think its important to sleep right but sometimes i just think its nice when its late and quiet and youre being nerdy on the computer or playing videogames ^^ and i know im too old but i love digimon :P everyone who knows that i like digimon teases me about it, especially my littlebrother XD

There was this time I entered a drawing contest here, and the art was free. Me and a friend joined and at the day of the revealing who was the winner (it was during some event), you had this dude who was telling his friends: "yeah I'm sure that I'm going to win. I mean, I've seen some drawings here, psh, there's no way I can lose. I'm sure to win man, I tell ya, haha".
Funny thing was when someone else's name was announced, and not his. No, I didn't win, but I think I ended up 4th because I got a whole set of new colouringpencils. I was quite happy.
How do I know hiw drawing was worse? Because we got to see all the entries and his was somewhere down on the bottom of the list.

The first one was beautiful though.

I know, I should be a good sports, but for some reason it's really a pleasure for me to laugh at these losers.

I go through like 10-15 a day. I used to smoke like you do, but I changed technique so that I inhale less but smoke more often. I manage just fine on 7-8 a day if I inhale more, but this method appeals to me more for some reason.

A few times a year I take a month off, to keep it from spiraling out of control, a practice that does seem to keep the addiction in control.

The thought of not smoking for an entire month is horrifying. I can't go cold turkey, it isn't in me.

I take advantage from the fact that smoking sucks when you're sick when I quit. I refrain from starting again for a couple of weeks. It works best with like a flu or something that really knocks you down, but a severe cold can do the trick as well.

Uh, sugar is not established as a cause of diabetes. Obesity seems to be a factor, which can be caused by excessive intake of sugar, but so can any other form of excessive caloric intake.

Whiskey is okay I guess. 50%-ish whiskey is about as strong as I take alcohol. I've tried stronger stuff (undiluted 70% abv. absinthe), which doesn't just kick like a mule, the mule stomps around in your chest for a good 10 minutes.

Heredity is also a factor. But, doesn't a person develop diabetes when the body cannot regulate it's own blood sugar levels? so, that person should really stay away from sugary foods to prevent his or her blood sugar from skyrocketing, right?

My sister has diabetes, so I have a fair deal of knowledge in the area.

Yes, a person with diabetes should regulate their sugar intake. Healthy people should mind their blood sugar too, since uneven blood sugar wears down the system, but the consequences of mismanaged blood sugar in healthy people is long term and down the line.

The blood sugar discussion is tangentially related to the thread topic, in that it discusses the consequences of certain "guilty pleasures".
