Oh, not at all. Why would ambling about and succeeding in stuff be depressing? Now working towards an aim, and repeatedly failing -- that is depressing.

I wasn't implying failure. Failure's almost never fun. What keeps people going, though, are goals. Goals to improve physical health, give more, marry, become more athletic in a sport, etc.
With no aspirations, there's no room for change (unless you wish to downgrade. If that were the case, though, your awesomeness wouldn't be so awesome). I would think things would become rather lackluster very quickly.

I say I don't, but I do believe in it every once in a while. Especially when it involves tests. I don't necessarily study per se, instead I go through a ritual of flipping through pages 5 min before the test and hope for the best. It tends to work well, with the exception of test involving calculations and formulas.

I don't really believe in "luck". I think luck is more of some sort of silly superstitious belief, where you think the universe is set up to reward only some people and punish others. That's kind of ridiculous. The universe couldn't care less what people do.

Well, if you think about it, everything happening for a reason is quite blatant (whether you look at the reason being the cause or result).

Chance is flawed too though. In ideal circumstances it works fine, but there are so many factors that go into something.

Take the chances of rolling a 6 on a dice. 1 in 6 right? Well sure in theory, but in real life, the chances are different, since you have to factor in the imperfections of the dice, the table, and the throw. It's still about 1 in 6 though, but it can't be exact, and in a test it will roll differently every time. In fact, after being throw enough, it will become more rounded, forming a sort of oval type shape, meaning that you're chances of rolling a the 2 faces at the ends of the egg shaped dice are now slightly less.

You could take a step back, and say that there has to be a dice to begin with, and the chances of that happening are based on the chances of humans creating a dice, are based on the chances of humans existing in the first place...but of course, that stuff has already happened. We're talking about the chance of something happening after X event. But, chance is still unreliable.
