Young Dreams?

Do you remember your dreams from when you were a kid? Did they change? As in career goals, and such. Not sleeping dreams.

I used to want to be an architect when I was a kid, I'm not sure when it changed, but now I want to be a video game designer.

I always dreamed of going to Australia and working at Steve Irwin's Zoo.

Age 7: I wanted to be the little mermaid.
Age 8: I wanted to go to university and study whatever I thought university students studied at the time.
Age 9~10: I wanted to be julia child's assistant helper-chef ... too bad she died in 2004. :[

When I was a kid, I remember sitting in my dad's car, listening to the music he was blasting. It was the drums in particular that caught my attention.
I decide I would love to drum like them one day.
Just about 9 years later when I got into highschool, I was given the opportunity to take part in the percussion section of the band.
I found it quite funny, because after 9 years of air-drumming, it really makes a difference when you first step on a drumkit. It already felt natural. =]
But yeah, it's been 21 years now and I still have the same goal, become a drummer.

I wanted to be a tractor when I was a kid.

At some point, I also wanted to be a parent to my parents (who would be kids).

Age 5: I wanted to grow up and be a dog. I believe we all know that wasn't going to happen.
Age 7: I wanted to be an astronaut. Then I realized that I'd have to be physically fit.
Age 8: I wanted to become a doctor, but I don't have the skillz.

At the age of 5: I wanted to be a green house man[yep I called them green house men and I associated them with the green giant]

At the age of 9: I had read a lot of comics while growing up a lot...I mean a lot. So I thought I could be a super hero. Mhmm. I made myself my own little tight suit and went to help people.

At the age of 10: I made a more realistic goal that is still in effect today. Be a Comic Book Artist. Yep that is right. From the age of 10 I still have the same goal.

age 8 or 7: watched those fast-food maintenance people use that awesome squeegee thing to clean the windows. Bubbles disappeared with a wipe! AWESOME. o_o I was gonna be the Mcdonald's Squeegee Guru

age 9 or 10: First encounter with Anime and I first dreamed of making an anime about my life. But of course, I first need to learn Japanese to sing the Opening songs right. I also have to either be a Ninja, an alien life form, or have an indestructible-yet-sleeping-power inside of me. Piece of cake.

age 12-14. More realistic views this time. I wanted to conquer the world through hidden subliminal messages I shall enclose in my planned manga/anime. Sadly, I found out that was a horrible idea that makes for a horrible movie. (many thanks to Reid, Dawson and Cook.) So that was scrapped.

By 10, I used to hate the world and wanted to destroy it. My visions usually involved huge rayguns, for cartoons were my only source of inspiration.
By early today, I am seeking to make the world destroy itself, for I am to important for the job.

I used to want to be a chef just like Dad, but over the years he convinced me otherwise.

I bounced around a lot, from being an astronaut to a firefighter to a lawyer.

My dream job is still out there, but it's working for the gov't, thwarting terrorists. It's an utterly thankless and anonymous job, but it's what I want to be. I just can't name it.

I'm currently pursuing a career in security, since the company I'm getting on with is worldwide there are opportunities that will allow me to travel, which is what I want.

Depending on how they work out, I will see about being a deputy sheriff. Uncle Sam will hear from me again in a couple years.

I always wanted to be in the army, or Air-Force, but then later my uncle died in the 1990 war (R.I.P), so changed my mind, but it still goes through in my thoughts I still want to be in the army or Air-Force, gotta serve this country some how sooner or later, right?

I wanted to be an astronaut when I was 10, then realized 0 Gravity is like swimming in a pool, then its like pitch black, all you see is the Earth, and that's a loooooong drop, kinda scary if you think of it.

Wanted to be a cop like my dad, but when he got off of that, he said for basic training you had to get tazed, and get pepper sprayed, so scratch that idea.

So I believe being a game designer, graphic designer, is perfect for me! Making the next StarFox game xD

When I was little one of the dream jobs I wanted was to be a cartoon designer. Now I am working to be a IT Professional. I just figured a few years ago that IT is something I am good at so why not make some money doing it.

When I was a kid I wanted to be either a doctor or a mortician's assistant - I was a morbid child, I guess. I never got to be either, though, which is probably a good thing as I have a weak stomach for some things and I'm not very bright.

Probably through out elementary school all together, I wanted to be a veterinarian because I like animals, but then I found out you have to perform surgery on them and give shots. Nope, I couldn't stomach that.

Oh, no, seriously. Later on in life (when I graduated from high school), a friend of mine who actually went on to become a doctor was showing me all of the schoolwork he had to do, and I was blissfully sitting in a corner smacking a pan with a spoon like a monkey. It was so confusing, I just couldn't grasp it even with him explaining it carefully and with bright giant pictures.

I didn't become a cop in the end. After that dream I wanted to be a movie star... That being said, I think it's easier for me to be a cop than to be a movie star...

In all seriousness, I wanted to be a marine biologist when I was younger. I grew out of that. Now I want to be a meteorologist.
