My tree hugging nature photography

Disclaimer: I'm not a tree hugger. ;D

I've amassed many many photos over the years and as a result I'm not going to even attempt to post up my entire collection, that would at best just bore everyone. Instead, ever day or so I'll post up a favorite photo of mine in this thread.

Some photos may not necessarily be recent and I'll try to point out the exact dates of each photo. Feel free to critique my photos if you wish to, I'm not afraid of criticism.

With that out of the way, here's the first shot...

Edited to add: Forgot to mention, this was taken last Saturday at our nearby lake. The recent rains added I think about 10 to 12 feet to the water levels, flooding the parking lots. This shot shows just how high it reached.

Glad you liked it though. Yes, seeing 1000 consecutive nature photos can bore anyone and you know it!

Okay then, here's the next photo of the day. It's not that large, resolution-wise, but it is a nifty long pano (my first, I think). This was taken while driving through Wyoming on September the 7th, 2003... so it's been a while.

So then... my next photo was taken in Washington state once again, this time from the top of Orcas Island on 8/31/2005.

Uh oh, how long has it been since I last posted a photo? Time for another shot then! Well, given the time since the last shot I think 2 photos are due... both were taken from the air last year, not sure over what state I was flying from. I think these qualify as nature photos though.
