emotions are a pretty powerful thing. so powerful, in fact, it can alter or influence your perception of things... one of these things being; how u see people. if you think back, im sure everyone can remember a time when you met someone who was attractive to you physically... and once you got to know them and see the person they really are, the physical attraction faded. well it works both ways. i can think of a few examples of girls that, at first, didnt seem very attractive to me. but after i got to know them and see the kind of person they were, they were beautiful to me.

we see what we want to see. the ability to see beauty, and what you perceive as being beautiful is a direct reflection of your own personality. some of us are more superficial than others... and superficiality is a weakness imo.

Those only occur in virtual reality world. I won't mind to get acquainted to people who are ugly, but if they are, I would like their hearts to be beautiful. Being with a snobby and sulky person just make my life gloomier. Most of my friends are normal people, and I don't expect to get a lot out of them. I have high goals in life, therefore I really wish to meet people like those in movies, but I should just put up with it.

Personality is everything to me. When I think of people I acknowledge that it is really just their brain that I'm attracted to. Literally, people are nothing but brains with bodies to control. Right now, I'm just a brain using my body to type on the keyboard. It's honestly nothing more than that. Being attracted to someone solely for their body is absurd. There's nothing to them but bones, muscles, fat, and skin. Of course, if you find certain things to be attractive like how someone styles their hair, or their facial structure, good for you. I just think it's really immature and dumb when people choose friends or lovers based solely on the body.

When it comes to friends its all about personality. As far as lovers or what not. It's both. I wont approach a woman that I don't find attractive.

I think anyone is truely beautiful if they carry themselves
with confidence. Not talking cocky.

I suppose looks are a plus; but if you're married to
the most beautiful person ever with the crappiest attitude,
staring at their face daily won't convince you that you're
in love.

It takes thirty seconds for someone to fully have an opinion
on another person, therefore- looks are a factor in the meeting
state, but after taking time to meet someone you realize that you
can't like a person without liking their attitude.

The attitude of a person doesnt matter. the phyiscal appearence matter ( TO AN EXTANT) although most people nower days dont care about attitude only appearence

Intelligence is paramount.. as is overall personality. Looks help, but I'd rather have someone who can participate in a conversation.

umm . . . well, if a person who doesn't care about their appearance, and that's the reason they look bad, wants to be my friend, then I would have to say that before I can be their friend, they have to respect their own body, and at least try to look a little better. If that makes sense.

If they try to look good, but fail, and have a great personality, then sure, I'd love to be their friend. Perhaps it sounds odd, but I don't think that someone who doesn't try to look better has it in them to be great to other people. . . and then again, that statement can be completely wrong based on the person.

Anyway, I choose personality over looks.

Hmm, yes, but don't you think there's a difference between "Today I'm just gonna wear a random T-shirt, just brush my teeth, wash my face and just randomly leave my hair the way it is and go to school" and "Ok, where's that T-shirt I've been wearing for a week now. oh damn, the bus, nvm, I'll skip brushing my teeth no one'll notice,"?
