Mine genuine stone is Turquoise, the synthetic is blue zircon.
I don't care for either one of them.
I like mine (ruby). Its a good color and I have a chain from my great-grandmother with a ruby as the centerpiece on the pendant.
Then what is your favorite gem besides diamonds hibiki?
Blue Topaz, but my favorite is Diamond.
Mine is Turquoise/Blue Zircon also. I like most of the turquoise jewelry I own, but I'd prefer having something like diamond or garnet.
=.= i like my birthstone but it does not like me. Its aquamarine, i've gotten several earings and rings over the years that are my birthstone. I have many earings now that do not have matchs. >.> for some reason i always lose them and only have one of three rings that i've gotten. I don't know why i lose my birthstone jewelry, i don't lose other earings and such, just these ones!
Only fools accept the obvious and go no farther.Common sense isn't so common anymore."I'll follow you everywhere you go in my oh-so-inconspicuous bright red car and convince myself you don't notice."4// Itchy. Tasty.
You want the scientific answer, or the practical one?
Anyway, I earn a living from diamonds so naturally they are my favorite.
Diamond values are determined from a combination of it's shape, color, clarity and overall make. There is a market price guide based on this criteria and vaules them on a 'per carat' basis.
Diamonds form 90 to 120 miles in the earth in the upper mantle and the deposits on the surface occured during catastrophic volcanic eruptions, the last occuring about 68 million years ago. This chaotic environment accounts for it's hardness and durability. There is no real "quality source" of diamonds, seeing as they all come from the same place, it's just that they're delivered to the surface in areas that have had tremendous volcanic activity.
I don't know what mine is...>.<
Yes, it pretty much fits me. The Ruby/Moonstone is the birthstone for july. I really don't like diamonds, so i'm happy with it. =D

If I remember correctly, I believe the birthstone for my month, February, is Amethyst. I'm not a real big jewelery man, so I'm neither here nor there when it comes to my opinion on stones themselves. Regardless, I like my stone as far as how it looks on me.
My thanks to Xey Oiz for the awesome new set.
"Screw being normal and be awesome instead!"
The list for people who don't know:
January - Garnet
February - Amethyst
March - Aquamarine
May - White Topaz/Diamond
June - Emerald
July - Ruby
August - Peridot
September - Sapphire
October - Pink tourmaline/Opal
November - Citrine/Topaz
December - Blue topaz turquoise/Zircon
Yet another attempt at associating astrology with real science (geology). I call money-grubbing humbug conspiracy! My birth had no pebble associated with it.
To mock this silliness: I'm inventing my own birth substances. These are all either deadly as hell, or require some sort of deadly conditions to exist (e.g. very low temperatures, insanely strong pressures)
January: Mustard Gas.
February: Actinium. (This is kinda neat because it's so radioactive it emits light)
March: Beryllium. (Causes lung cancer, like... instantly. Makes scrubbing your lungs with asbestos seems relatively healthy)
May: Uranium 236.
June: Bose-Einstein condensate.
July: Lithium.
August: Chlorine.
September: White phosphorous.
October: Strange Matter.
November: Neutronium / Solid Degenerate Matter. (Go to a neutron star if you want some)
December: Ice IV. (You need like a million atmospheric pressures for this thing to appear)

Hey look, Japan made a movie about me!
Citrine/Topaz.
...It's okay. I only have one piece of jewelry and that is a ring with my birthstone my dad got me when I graduated high school. I wear it proudly.
I now know what hell sounds like; I recommend a tactical nuclear strike on my position. Tell my family I love them.
Topaz is a very hard crystal. I am cool with that.
I'm topaz too. Wow, three topazes in a row!
I like it... it's kind of boring, but it's not that bad.
What, do you hate April or something? I suggest Prussic Acid, which is so poisonous that according to tradition a drop on the tongue of a dog is enough to kill a man. According to Wiki it's also explosive, was used by the Nazis to kill the jews, is used in American criminal gas chambers, and is used to kill the Whales before they kill us.

I like diamonds.
Diamonds are a girl's best friends.
So, yes, I like my birthstone.
On this day of days, most epic and prideful, you were born 15 whole American years ago!
Through the odds and by doing the impossible, you beat out hundreds of thousands of siblings in the great sperm race for the coveted egg.
Probably via hax.
Regardless! You won!
So remember, whenever someone picks on you or calls you weak or small.
Just remind them that you beat out a few hundred thousand other wimps.
And the grand prize was not dying!
