Depends what you classify as being Shojo, but I do love that kind of stuff as well !
I love Shoujo. I am a male. I don't care. SHOUJO ROCKS MY SOCKS! =)
By the way all shoujo anime is not the same...how ignorant.
My second cousin has a poster of Sailor Moon in his room.
And he isn't gay.
On this day of days, most epic and prideful, you were born 15 whole American years ago!
Through the odds and by doing the impossible, you beat out hundreds of thousands of siblings in the great sperm race for the coveted egg.
Probably via hax.
Regardless! You won!
So remember, whenever someone picks on you or calls you weak or small.
Just remind them that you beat out a few hundred thousand other wimps.
And the grand prize was not dying!
Some of the shows I enjoy are considered shoujo. I don't actively seek it or categorize it, if something looks good I check it out. I like a little bit of everything.
I used to dislike all forms of shojo but now I really don't care. As long as it's funny, I don't care.
I watch some, but it all depends on how far you classify them as "shoujo".
I love life-dramas like K-ON!, Skip Beat, Toradora, Hatsukoi Limited, Ichigo 100%, etc., or comedies like Minami-ke, Lucky Star, Kyo no Go no Ni, or Kodomo no Jikan, but I don't really think those are considered Shoujo.
I do watch a few Magical Girl animes such as To Love-Ru and Steel Angel Kurumi. Karin (Chibi Vampire) was another one I enjoyed. Those kind of shows are probably the furthest I delve into Shoujo anime.

Even worse. Misfit girl or girl with bad attitude meets handsome man who pisses her off. They "hate" each other and fall in love.
Girl against other girls with really stupid not so attractive boy. Fighting for love, but they can be only true love.
And they usually contain some of the elements:
Girl collapses out of exhaustion
She refuses her love towards him, how can I love an idiot like that
Perverted seen that makes her embarrassed and she pulls it off as being angry
Yeah not the same my butt.
Wedding is in October. And I'm going to be a dad. Super excited.
Ghost Hunt is shojo, and I dare you to say that's exactly like all the other shojo.
Haven't seen much shojo, but I've seen Fruits Basket and am buying the manga (up to Vol. 5), and also seen Ghost Hunt as I said. I'll probably buy the Ouran High School Host Club DVDs sometime this year, as it looks pretty cool.
But it contain a couple of the elements:
Girl lives on her own she's orphaned
Girl has secret abilities she cannot explain
Girl falls in love with a guy she calls thinks is a jerk, but doesn't really
The only thing different is they added in some ghost and psychic powers.
Wedding is in October. And I'm going to be a dad. Super excited.
Granted alot of shojo is like what you say but they all aren't like that. Hana Kimi doesn't really have anything you've said so far. And Host club also doesn't fit what you've said either. (though i haven't ever finished it >.> so i can only speak for the first bit of it.)
Plus shonen is kinda the same way, you can clump them up into well they're more or less all just like this blah blah.
But whats it matter? If it's good/you like it who cares if it is similar to another story?
Only fools accept the obvious and go no farther.Common sense isn't so common anymore."I'll follow you everywhere you go in my oh-so-inconspicuous bright red car and convince myself you don't notice."4// Itchy. Tasty.
What about X by Clamp?
You could level exactly the same criticism against shounen (and people have), and like any other loosely grouped genre it's true in some cases and not in others.
I take a sort of guilty pleasure in watching shoujo anime. My favorite shoujo manga is Please Save My Earth.

Some shoujo are pretty good. His n Her circumstances is very good considering its age. Honey and Clover is freakin awesome. I just can't stand some that are way too over dramatic like almost korean drama material. Kimi ga Nozomu Eien just made me bitter. I only finished it because i started it.
You're obviously not the only one. You see? Most of the anime fanboys are fans of shojo mangas. Shojo stands for "young girl" or "teenage girl". What could be the MAIN reason for males liking shojos? Of course because they think the girls are cute looking, and willing to follow the plot in order to enjoy their appearance more, now this is the main reason I'm emphasizing.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a male. Therefore, I have a male friend who is totally obsessed of anime, but only on anime girls, and spend lots of money on shojo mangas. I asked him reasons why spending so much money on non-reality stuff. He said he enjoys how those cute anime girls and those from shojo mangas would give him such great feelings.
I find that guys likes shojo equally than girls do.
I like cross-dressing characters. Anime males that dress and look like females are awesome. In reality, though, it is a great "No", although I would like an anime cross-dresser on my bed nonetheless.
That which is; is the truth.
me and my town's anime club are shojo lovers. me have nothing to hide from anyone.

Me too ! I love it !
Though I was wondering about the exact same thing as you. Seems like there are quite a lot of male shojo lovers . yay
