Tattoos

What's your opinion on tattoos in general? How about tattoos on women? Tattoos on guys?


Besides that, I'm seriously considering getting a tattoo this summer and I've been torn between some choices: a rose (which would go with my name), a dragon, a faerie, or a word/phrase in Japanese. Any thoughts?

When they're well done and well thought-out, I think tattoos are amazing. I have one on my back, between my shoulderblades, and if I could afford it I'd definitely get more ink.

As long as what you get is something meaningful to you (that you won't mind having on you forever and such), then go for it!

I like them on either gender, but it's not something i'd get for myself because i'm too much of a wimp to go through it all, lol.

Temporary tattoos scream "hardcore", so i'd get one of those. =D

Tattoos are cool but make sure you think long and hard before you get one, cause you don't want to regret it later.

I've never really considered getting a tatoo. Felt I'd always regret it later. But I admit there are some really cool looking ones out there. I'll be going to see a friend of mine get one before we go on a trip this Summer.

I have 11 of them. Only one is visible outside of my sleeves though and that is the Hello Kitty one.

I have wanted a tattoo since the beginning of this year. I want one behind my neck somewhere. A yin yang tattoo. I think some tattoos look really pretty on girls and some don't. For guys, I think its cool but it depends on the tattoo as well.

You will like it better if it's somewhere that you can easily see it. I hate the ones on my back because I need a mirror to look at them. But that's just a suggestion.

I have never liked tattoos. I've always been against them. Look at all that pain people go through in order to get one... x_x And I find them ugly on both genders. Especially those with excessive ones. They ruin the look of the body. But hey, that's just me.
Personally, I would never get one myself or want for those close to me get it. But if my friends got one it's alright. I'd support them and even help them choose if they asked for my opinion.

That's really cute.

I think tattoos are pretty cool, but the only downside of them, to me, is that when you get old, they might stretch out and look all warped and ugly. =P

This really does depend a lot on the local corporate culture. It is significantly less of a faux pas in say Sweden than it is in the US. Well, to some extent anyways.



I've got two, but I changed one of them. Had a middle finger that I had made into a Vulcan greeting. I've always wanted to get a tattoo that says "(something perishable) forever!" Like, "2009 forever!" or "summer forever!"

I'm also playing with the idea of getting a dobbshead.

Hmm, you know, I can sort of see how tattoos would be bad in a way. I don't think having tattoos in general are bad, however, I have seen a man almost completely covered them. Both of his legs, both of his arms, most of his torso, and his head (but not the face). He looks creepy and weird. He overdid it.

I'm probably more than likely going with the rose. :-D

Ya I guess eh? But, come to think of it...will I always want to look at it??? LOL I never really thought thoroughly about where I want to place a tattoo but I think I would prefer my neck.

I see tattoos as works of art, and, as such, I find them wonderful things to have. Actually, I find a woman much more interesting and cool if she has tattoos. It's kind of biased, I guess but women tend to look awesome with lots of ink. Like a sleeve, or similar, is something I find, rough gruff, cool and still very interesting and artistic.

@ Twilight: Might I suggest a faerie riding on the back of a dragon with a rose in its mouth, all flying through the Chinese symbols for Freaking and Awesome?

Different tattoos look good on different body shapes or styles. The gender is not important.

I like tatoos on some guys :3 like Mike Herrera *.* and some girls who have tatoos can look really cool. But I think whoever gets a tatoo (or more) has to be suited to it. Like, some tatoos can just look out of place.

But I've decided that if I ever get a tatoo (not v likely) then it will be on my leg and it will of the Dragon from dragonball >< lol

she is my first kitty have ever had in 14yrs.
and she is the only and best company I have... she is sitting beside me now while I type this xD

well tattoos are cool i guess as long its not some gangsters tattoos or some chick with all kinds of names in handwriting all over her...
also i dont understand the point of people getting meaningless tattoos. If it doesnt mean anything to you its simply a waste of tattoo space...
