For over the course of time itself a war has been raged. A battle for control over the very stars to shine above us. One star in general rules over all the rest. The HiMe Star. A star that can only be seen by those chosen to become apart of this secret war. Those chosen are called HiMe. These women fight to protect the ones they love, and to live a normal life. however ebing a HiMe is not something you can simply turn down. Once the mark is upon your body you can do nothing but fight. Fight till only one remias, and is crowned the Crystal Princess, and shall serve the gods as the defender of this realm from the likes of those that would destroy it. Slowly, and surely dark forces are slowly arising. Hoping to take control of the world, and remake it in their own image. Now the time has come for the battle to once again start, and live to be lost. Mai Tokiha, a young freshman student, and her young sickly brother are making there way to the top notch school near japan. Little do they know that this is not a school for the beautiful or the smart, but a gathering for all those females branded HiMe. They shall fight using the power of the unknown CHolds, and fight against, the currupt forces that slowly push these events forward. Will they overcome the cycle of death, and destruction, or will they be locked in the game of torment, and dispair, that comes with being a HiMe.

HiME
HiME refers to the ability to create solid objects from photons, as well as the females who wield this ability. It stands for Highly-advanced Materializing Equipment. It is a backronym of hime, the Japanese word for princess. All HiMEs have an identical birthmark shaped like the HiME symbol on various points of their bodies, usually the part of their bodies governed by their astrological sign. HiMEs typically are associated with a classic element or some other theme.

Element
Element is the name for the objects the HiMEs can create. Most take the form of some kind of weapon, but a couple have non-combat functions. All natural HiMEs wield Elements. Even if a HiME's element is destroyed, it can simply be reconstituted, though this takes up a notable amount of energy on the HiME's part to do so.

Child
A Child is a creature summoned for battle by a HiME. Most have some origin in mythological beasts or deities. In addition, they seem to be bio-mechanical, as parts of their bodies resemble machinery while other parts seem to be real flesh. Childs can be summoned anytime after a HiME has accepted her Child. They are linked to a HiME's most important person; when the Child dies, the HiME's most important person also dies, and the HiME loses her powers.


Fuka Academy
Fuka Academy is the private school at which all of the HiMEs are gathered. It has 3 buildings for grade school, middle school, and high school, which are all connected by the Crystal Shrine. It is located in an isolated area on the island of Hokkaidō. Thirty or so miles from the Academy is the city where students can buy food, and clothes. However, they are limited to four hours a week outside of the school. The school is one of the top school in the world yet not many know about it. Or the dark secrets it holds.

Student Council
The Fuka Academy Student Council holds more power than typical student councils; they are in charge of student discipline and are partly responsible for school funding. The President of the Student Council is Shizuru Fujino.

Executive Council
Part of the Student Council, these students specifically deal with maintaining order at Fuka Academy. The President of the executive Concil is yet to be named.


HiME Star
The HiME Star is a glowing red object in the sky, located to the lower-right of the moon. It is encircled by a rocky structure similar in shape to the HiME symbol. The HiMEs' powers originate from the Star. Only the HiMe, can see them.

Orphan
An Orphan is a creature the HiMEs fight. They typically have a monstrous form. No one knows where they come from but they normally attack the individuals with emotions that are closely related to the HiMe. Destruction of one improves the abilities of the HiMe, and her Child.

Searrs Foundation
The Searrs Foundation is an ancient organization disguised as an American corporation. They seek to take the powers of the HiMEs for themselves with the help of technology. They have a number of spies located in Fuka Academy, and some even HiMe.


District 1
District 1 is the organization responsible for gathering the HiMEs at Fuka Academy. They cover up Orphan incidents by controlling the media and erasing the memories of victims. They have also planted spies in Fuka Academy. These spies are unknown, and are remored to even be HiMe themselves.


Most important person
A vaguely defined term in the contest, the person most important to a HiME becomes collateral in exchange for the power of a Child; if a Child dies, the most important person dies also. No restrictions are placed on whom the most important person is, and if that person were to die from some other cause (including the person dying from the death of another's Child), the HiME whose important person died may regain her powers if a new important person is found. The person may also be shared between two HiMEs.

Personally: She is portrayed as a self-reliant person, hesitant to tell others about her problems. She is a first-year high school student. Her stated hobbies are working part-time jobs and taking care of Takumi, her brother.

Bio: Mai was born to a weathly father who never paid attention to her or her younger borother who is very sickly. Her mother passed away when she was 8, Takumi only being 5. Her mothers last words were for her to protect Takumi, and watch for the red star in the sky. Mai never understood but as so looks at the sky every night to see the red star. Some odd years later her father up, and disappeared. Sending both she, and Takumi to Fuka Academy where they are now headed. She feels out of place because she can see a small red light close to the moon, and those around her seem not to notice it at all. Even Takumi. Was this what her mother was talking about, and if so then what does it mean.

One thing Mai holds back to this day is the hate he feels for herself for ebing the cause fo Takumi's illness, and her mothers death. He was told to watch Takimu, but didn't listen, and left him by the river. Takumi couldn;t swim, and fell in. He was slowly drowning when her mother found him, and saved him. She two couldn;t swim, and by saving him harmed herself. Both she, and takumi were both put into the hospital, but Takumi came throgh finee. Two days later her mother passed away. Mai hates herself, and as so is very protective of Takumi.

Personally:Takumi is a kind, soft spoken mature young man. He does his part in everything even those he has a bad heart. he requires attention almost all the time, and whenever Mai isn't around he carries a set amount of his medication with him. He is cunning, and smart, and at times finds himself in situations that require him to use his male charm, and good looks to get out. Nevertheless, he is a fun loving, and kind person.

Bio: After they lost there mother Takimu was silent for a few years. He would only talk to Mai, and Mai alone. He was afriad to be close to those around them as they would soon leave them or at least ignore them. When there father left them Takumi felt as if it was his fault. He had never really talked to his father as Mai did, and as a result his father would ign ore, and disown him. His heart condition also pushed his father away as Takumi had been the number one distance track runner in Japan. He was very happy when he foundn out they were going to a school near there home town. However he didn;t understand way Mai got so distant when the moon was out, or at night time. Like she was looking at something.

Personally: Natsuki is typically portrayed as a serious, rational blue-haired female, as a foil to the lighthearted Mai Tokiha. Natsuki's beauty is the target of several jokes, usually involving her becoming embarrassed in a situation. She usually has Shizuru Fujino as a close friend. Natsuki always uses some type of gun as her weapon and she is usually associated with wolves, silver, and the element ice. She also has a habit of flicking her hair with her right hand. Running gags include her hobby of collecting lingerie, her fondness of mayonaisse, and her tendency to become irritated easily.
Bio: Natsuki's past is unknow to say the least. She only came into view when she came to Fuka Academy. She is very popular, yet distant. Her only friend is the president of the Student Concil Shizuru Fujino. However outside of classes, and school Natsuki works for District one. Her orders are to bring in all HiMe, and help them reveal there Child. However she hates District one for cauing the death of her mother. As so she works for them while gaining enough information to destroy them from the inside out.

Element: Natsuki's Elements are a pair of small pistols, with the spheres on the pistols providing it with unlimited ammunition. She also displays knowledge of hand-to-hand fighting techniques. Natsuki's HiME mark is located on her lower left back, an area said to be governed by Leo, her zodiac sign.

Child's Abilities/Skills: Silver Cartridges create icicles, Chrome Cartridges are conventional explosive charges, and Flash Cartridges produce a blinding light. Duran is also capable of close-combat fighting, and it can transform into a hoverbike that Natsuki can ride.
Child's Origin/Mythological background: Duran is probably based on Dylan from Celtic mythology, the son of Arianrhod. Dylan is also said to be the child of waves, therefore he became the god of oceans. This corresponds with how Duran comes out of ice. Another point about Natsuki is her relationship with her mother. Arianrhod had another son named Lleu, whom she almost kills. Although there is a difference of gender, Arianrhod could be Natsuki’s mother, Lleu being Natsuki, and Dylan being Duran. Also, it could be that the name of Duran was adopted from the term "dylan" which means "ice".

Amaterasu's past how ever is unrecorded since she doesnt have a Birth certificate or medical records. Many people just know her as Kajin Ayaki's talented fighting daughter.

Personality: Hiroku is generally shy and quiet. She can be a bit air headed and she can be a bit dizty at times, but for the most part she is generous and kind. She is very helpful and is very protective of the people around her.

Bio: Hiroku is a normal girl. Normal life, normal world. Until she found out that she was a hime. Which wasn't until a few months ago. She is now adjusting to it. She fears sometimes though, her powers, and she fears she'll lose people as well. It was only a few months ago that she met Yue too. Shrouded in mystery as she calls it. He says nothing of himself, he says nothing of his past or his life. He only seems to be a big giant complex puzzle. But Hiroku can't seem to not find herself attracted to him. Hiroku has to keep Yue sort of hidden, the things her friends would say when they saw him.

Personally:
Jace is cold towards HiME and their most important person. He is indifferent with everyone else and despite an anti-social attitude he still obeys his superiors. He easily hold a grudge and is very slow to forgive. He shows a cold fasination with Orphans bordering on obesession.

Bio:
Jace wasn't always as cold as he is now. In fact he was a bright talented young lad. He fell in love with a HiME and became her important person. It was good relationship which he supported by learning what he could about Orphans and then using the knowledge to help her fight them. Every thing worked until one day she was fighting a Orphan to strong for her to handle alone. They had tried to get help but the other HiME were to slow. He had to watch her die before his eyes and he was left broken.

After the event he blamed all HiME's on her death. He grew bitter and hated them all whether he knew them or not. He then turned his attention to discovering a way of destroying Orphans that wasn't with HiME's. He grew more obessed with them and destroying them but is yet to figure out a way to do so without HiME's. So he puts up with HiME and tolatrates their presence but it doesn't stop him being cold towards them. If anyone wants to to know anything about orphans, and they can put up with him, they will go to him for information.

Jace is also the founder, and president of the Fuka Academy Kendo Club as well as on the student council.

Bio: Lizzie's hime powers were activated when she was rather young, a little to young perhaps. she tryed to protect her sister from there abusing stephdad but failed since her powers went haywire. Her sister died and her dad went to jail, she was placed in a diffrent foster home in the mean time. After her sisters dead lizzie became cold and unintrested. even to the point to resisting the people from district 1 when they came to take her away. It is believed she is acting like this because she does not want her hime powers anymore. She is also often watched closely by people in fear she might do something drastic.

My Second character.

Yuna / Rei

The one on the left is how Yuna normally looks and the right is Rei. The main difference is the eyes and Rei enjoy's putting her hair into a ribbon.

Personally:
Yuna suffers from split personality. Her other half is called Rei.
Yuna is strong willed and a bit of a loud mouth. She is never seen depressed or crying. She is always looking to prove herself strong. Yuna see herself as Rei’s older sister, despite them being the same person, and tries to protect her from others.
Rei is the opposite. She is very quiet and gets scared easy. She is sensitive and easily upset. She doesn’t like fighting but isn’t strong enough to say no. She also has a crush on Jace. But since he hates HiME’s he doesn’t show her much attention. This doesn’t stop her and on rare occasions she is very brave trying to talk to him.

Bio:
Yuna is a young girl with a very strong will. She didn’t cry when she got hurt and would often get into trouble with her stubbornness. She used to live with her parents but after her mother passed away she left to stay at the academy. It was about this time that her split personality appeared. It seemed to be all the sorrow that she wouldn’t let out. As such Rei was born.
At first it was a difficult situation. Regardless of who was in control of the body the other could always been their head. There was never any privacy and they conflicted with each others personalities. Yuna originally hated Rei for being so weak and it proved a difficult situation to live with. But soon she developed a connection to her and viewed her as a younger sister and it was her job to protect her. Others soon grew to except her and now it people at the academy seem to view their switch about as normal.
When Yuna learnt she was a HiME she resolved even more to protect Rei, who when in control of the body wasn’t capable of HiME powers. It was due to this connection that she discovered that her own split personality was her important someone. This led to her accepting and awakening her child. Something that was done very fast for someone who had just became a HiME. Yuna finds Rei affection towards Jace uncomfortable. It is the only time she was been seen acting out of herself. Since she doesn’t feel the same way, and she is a HiME, it proves hard to let Rei close to him.
Her HiME mark is at the top of her neck, where it connects to her head, hidden by her hair.

Harry


Harry (sometimes spelled as Hari). Harry was a resemblance of a giant tiger. It has the ability to manipulate wind currents to slash at enemies before drawing them into a vacuum to crush them.


Rather than a god, Harry’s origin can be found in a non-fictional source in Malaysia. Tani Yutaka’s little sister was killed in England, but the murderer was judged to be innocent. For revenge, this Japanese man began stealing valuable belongings in England and giving them away to people in Malaysia where he lived, making him legendary there. His acts of kindness, from Malaysian point of view, lead to creation of Harimau Beneficial Bandits. The character that symbolizes the group is Harimau, the world for tiger in Malaysia.

Yatagarasu, is a large crow liked creature able to fire its feathers in projectile attacks, as well as a destructive beam attack from its beak. Oddly, this version of the mythical creature has only one leg.


Yatagarasu dwells in the sun, and is the messenger of the sun goddess, Amaterasu Omikami. Karasu means “crow”, so as easily guessed, this child is a crow. Crows are usually associated with negative images, but that’s a western influence. In Japan, it was originally a messenger of the gods characterized by loyalty, honesty, and devotion. However, Yatagarasu is usually depicted with three legs. Since Yatagarasu has only one leg, it means that loyalty, truthfulness and devotion may have been replaced with Isolation, jealousy, and paradox.

Julia appeared as a green and yellow half-human female spider with a scorpion tail. Julia's main ability is to used her tail in releasing its sticky web liked strings. Julia follows in every command given by the help of her element.



Julia has most likely originated from a god in Cthulhu mythology, Atlach-Nacha. Atlach-Nacha is a spider with a face of a human that is said to dwell in a hole it dug, planning to bring an end to the world. It is said to be a god that cannot multitask, therefore it becomes very upset when interrupted with what it is doing. It is also said that it can be summoned, but doing so would entangle the summoner in the web and leave them no option but to be eaten. Making this Child dangerous for the HiMe as well.

St. Vlas


St. Vlas (St. Vrus), was a resemblance of a knight, a piece in the game of chess, that can change its shape into a winged unicorn during its iron maiden form. It also has the ability to under its enemies in illusion before crushing them with its large wings in the style of an iron maiden. Also, St. Vlas can use magical spells which was associated with fire, lightning, ice and so on.


St. Vlas has a partial reference to Christianity. Back when Christianity was the target of persecution, the cross used to be the target of arrow, and whoever was able to stick three on it was said to be able to become a master of archery. Whether this is the origin or not, three signifies demons, such as the trident that the devils are usually drawn with. Later on, the word “hamartia”, meaning “sin”, was made due to pressure from Greece, but it literally translates as “off target”. As for your child, its origin can be seen in a god originally named Volos. When Volos’ idol was thrown into the Pocayna River, he either became the devil, or alternately he became St. Vlas (St. Blaise), a shepherd.

Personally: Anna might come off as a witch as first but she's actually very considerate and has a soft side for humanity. Even so, she still does have a sadistic streak to her that can go pretty far depending on how much she dislikes someone. She is honest and and doesn't mind giving her opinion in any situation. She has a weak spot for children and loves pretty things.

Bio: Anastasia was queen bee at her orphanage, which was a church run by nuns. She knew how to get her way without force or sensual methods. She would contradict the nuns, turning to reason rather than religion. The nuns at St. Gabriel's church were afraid that she would corrupt the other children so they sent her to Fuku Academy, knowing if they had sent her to a lesser one, she would return one day and take some sort of revenge.

The only person that Anna was attached to at the orphanage was a girl named Eileen. She was Anna's best friend and the closest person she'd ever had to family. But Eileen was adopted before Anna but they still kept in touch.

Now Anastasia is a junior, and the president of the Executive Council, having learned several different fighting styles from different people. She's not the queen bee but she is rather known because of her title as president of the executive committee.

Personally: Kaede is extremely quirky and energetic with a passion for music and art. She tends to be very mellow on her own but full of life around friends. She doesnt get angry often, as she personally believes its best to kill your enemies with kindness. Shes also a very blunt person and will speak her mind regardless of the consequences.

Bio: Kaede's mother is Japanese while her father is Irish. Shes moved back and forth between both countries as a child. Although she has made a lost a lot of friends, she didnt let that discourage her from making more.

She is president of the art club with a few other "misfit" students. The club and herself labeled such due to appearance, not because of behavior or academics. Regardless, shes come to wear the title with pride.

Personally: A strict woman with a kind heart. Order is her priority and nothing will stand in her way to maintain it, but she loves her school and everyone in it. She's very easy-going when she's not working and shouldn't be trifled with when she is. Most of the students love her and even go to her for advice. She's strong-willed, clever, and does not stand down or hesitate to fight for what she knows is right.

Bio: Amaya was a book worm when she lived in Germany and was very popular only because of her natural good looks and passive attitude. but no boy dared harrass her because she always had her brother, Ren, by her side protecting her. Amaya looked up to her brother, who was the captain of the soccer team at their school, because he was strong, intelligent, and carefree. They were always together, even during school since Amaya was allowed to take higher courses.

By 10, Amaya's parents got divorced. She and her brother were serperated. Amaya moved back to Japan with their mother and Ren stayed with their father. Devestated, Amaya became even more deteermined to be like her brother so that she could survive without him until they were reunited once again. She was enrolled into Fuka academy.

Appearance: (I apologize if the quality of the picture is a bit off, or horrible on a lesser not. I got a little bored when making this Character Sheet and started to mess around with Photoshop a bit. Heh...)

Personality: Arabella is a more of an introverted and quiet individual. She will speak when spoken to (to be polite), and when in a conversation (hence the “when spoken to” bit). But she is more secretive than anything, although nobody can really tell. The people whom she comes across just think of it as nothing more than mere reserve. She does have her extroversions at times (watch out for those), but due to her usually quiet demeanor, those times are only seldom—rare. But hey, is it not the quiet ones that you have to watch/look out for?

Bio: Not much is known about Arabella's history, or background, due to her secrecy. But, being a quiet one has its advantages. Excelling in her academics at a young age, and being a little more than anti-social, earned Arabella a place with the Searrs Foundation. This in itself was odd because she is in fact a Student, and being what she was just made it even stranger nonetheless. But it was all a part of role that she had to play, occasionally. Still attending school, gathering HiMe’s at Fuka Academy, not to mention being a spy for that same Academy, really starts to take a toll on a girl of her age. Though it only makes Arabella work even harder, because of her busy schedule and the time compaction in which it most likely conceals. Arabella is also an Agent for the Searrs Foundation and is a part of the swim team, debate team, and literature club at her institution of education (possibly more extra curricular activities to come).

Bio: Echo grew up in an orphanage after her mother gave her up disowning the child as hers. Echo was known for isolating herself from other children and began to study at a young age. She's consider a genius. She's very intellectual and even graduated college when she was 17. She's the youngest teacher ever recorded.
