Yeah, I played them all, beat them all, and liked them all.

.Hack//SIGN is my faveorite anime of all times, the others are up there to. Never played the games but I'd love it if another one came out!
~The One and Only~
I'm a BIG fan of the .hack games and the animes but I haven't played .Hack//G.U it hasn't come out here in australia.
And I found out there's other .hack game coming out on the PSP called .Hack//Link with all of the characters from the previous games, I hope they release it here in australia this time.
Yes there is, the first ones to come out on PS2 was .Hack//Infection part 1, .Hack//Mutation part 2, .Hack//Outbreak part 3 and .Hack//Quarantine part 4(the final chapter). Each of have an OVA dvd to watch about what's the game infecting in the real world.
There is also .Hack//G.U and that has 3 parts to the game but I don't have them.
Just Google .Hack//G.U to find more about the game.
There's an upcoming one for the PSP.
Too bad I dont have a PSP Does anyone know if that game will come out on the PS2? I also love .Hack//Roots but they are never on in the US or atleast never seem to be. Ive looked up a couple episodes on Youtube but thats it.
yes the game are very long and couldnt fit into one disk so it was sold as four diffrent games but you needed all four to get the complete story plus the ova and the secrets hidden in each dvd that came with the games to fill up the plot holes, then the anime, than the mangas' and novel too. Its a very big story that took many media to tell its tale. Each part of dot hack game will give you about 20 plus hours multiply that by four and you get 80 hours of gameplay but I was able to get 300 hours though LOL. But you can rush through the game and finish all four in 50 hours
What I loved the most about the first gen R1 is that if you paid attention to its anime, manga, novel, and magazine adertisment you can find hidden combination keywords for secret area in the games that give you rare stuff that you can never find if you didnt know them. It was great how they rewarded the serious fan with so much content that was actually useful and not eye candy.
Now for second gen R2 or GU I didnt like it failed to deliver the same impact as the first gen did and the game lack the challenges of first gen game the only improvement was the fact that the game doesnt need to load everytime you enter another room
I really hope dot hack//link isnt base on the manga by the same name since it was crappy story with a Tai from Digimon wannabe main character and this manga ruined the realism of dot hack universe

Well. I'm not a fan. I've come across the games many times but never bought any. I remember cartoon network used to air the anime right?

Dot Hack GU took up entirely too many hours of my life that I'll never get back again... but the sad part is I don't miss 'em...
Just kiddong, but seriously, i obsessed over GU volumes one and two for way longer than the friend who lent them to me... and I never got to finish V3, which is a big time bummer, got me?
But yeah, If you're looking for pplz who obsess over Haseo's semi-emo semi-punk bad@$$ness, I iz raizin mah hanz, yes?

I'm not a huge fan of .Hack, but I have come to enjoy the games even though I don't play video games much anymore. I still enjoy some games though, and .Hack is one of them. It is quite a good series.
Nonon Jakuzure - Best Kill la Kill baePretty damn great! #spoke2soonOta "The Cutest Otaku" 2016 - Lol, how's your account doing lately? Oh wait.
.hack is NOT for casual gamers. Certainly a casual gamer can pick up any random series and play it, but it's not meant to be seen in its entirety by that one experience.
It's VERY rewarding and very stimulating to go through all of the media.
I was actually VERY unhappy with how GU turned out. Sure, the marriage card was an interesting deal, but Xth form is so cheap. I wouldn't mind as much assuming there were ACTUALLY something strong enough to deal with it, but there isn't. It knocks small monsters into the air, stuns medium sized ones, and constantly freezes large ones so you take out 1/3 of a boss's HP before he/she even takes the first swing.
The main focus of the .hack gaming community in its entirety was WORKING WITH YOUR PARTY MEMBERS, especially in .hack/OG. Party members have almost no initiative and will randomly attack based on the parameters you've given them. This means that, rather than you solely being the character, you're also putting on two giant PC shaped guns, or one, or even none.
In GU this was largely toned down because a lot of players can't stand taking the time to learn the system, but you can pretty much beat the final boss at about 15 levels below where you need to be. The sad thing is that with GU, the arena battles are a sham. If you're 3 levels higher average than your enemy party, you pretty much crush them into dust.
Like I said, it's NOT for the casual gamer, but it's HIGHLY rewarding.

I'm not a phantom, a banshee, a witch, or an ogre But my crew's got the best chance of taking over Yo, I don't transform and I don't change shape Don't take the bus, don't shoplift tapes But I used to, and if you choose to, Here's something to pop inside your walkman and cruise to I'mma pay dues and blues, that's the truth If there's one thing I've learned from life, there's much to lose I know, that's why we never duplicate shows You're just an imitation, you can die like white buffalo
.hack/link is about some kid playing The World R:3. I've seen a few manga scans of it. In the first couple of chapters he gets some special disk version of the game before R3 even comes out which actually puts the user inside the game. So it's a forced liminal disassociation effect, meaning that whoever made it found a way to simulate Tsukasa-like effects. He got it from this freaky girl he likes. She confronted him on the roof about it or something.
Anyway, I forget his name, but Haseo and Kite (normal Kite) are fighting a data bug when he gets in there, and it's this godly thing. I laughed inside when he was like "Who the hell are these people?!"
I find it annoying that there isn't a .hack canon game that allows you to pick your own class. I don't like being a twin blade, it's so boring.

The .hack// series is definitely one of my favorites, though I've only gotten to play through Infection and Mutation. *Die* My PS2 flipped out on me and when I bought a PS3, I found out it wasn't backwards compatible... :P
But I'm determined to play them all!
Fall to your knees and receive the divine punishment of love!
Only played 1 and 2 of .Hack//sign (the ones with Kite and Blackrose, right? lol it's been a long time) but really enjoyed them. I'd play all of them, but I don't have the time/resources/game consoles

I have only played the G.U. trilogy. Overall, I like it. It has an interesting storyline and an excellent cast of characters. Its battle system, graphics, and music are great, too.

The .hack series is one of the best I have played. I have the first four with Kite and Blackrose and I also have the .hack//G.U. trilogy. I loved those ones so much.
