Default Game/Fan Ficton: Command & Conquer 3 and Sky Girls-Revenge of the WORMs/Scrin

    PROLOGUE

2042 - The Scrin invaded Earth in response to the LT detonation under Temple Prime. Most of GDI's Blue Zones were attacked as a result. As the year drew to a close, GDI was able to defeat the Scrin.

2048 - The Brotherhood of Nod was finally eradicated from the Earth. Nothing was heard from them ever since.

2056 - A cyborg assault was made on the Rocky Mountains and they were able to take the Tacitus. Their origin from Nod or CABAL is unknown.

Years pass and then something amiss happened on 2071.

2071 - A new alien threat called WORMs attacked Earth. Their origin was unknown. Japan and GDI's Blue Zones suffered the most damaged.

2073 - One-third of the human race was wiped out. All nations put their differences aside to eliminate the WORMs.

2074 - World powers agreed to use weapons of mass destruction on the WORMs including GDIs hidden nuclear arsenal and their common weapon, the Ion Cannon. The WORMs were defeated but major continents were submerged as a result and Anartica has disappeared. Most casualties were 90% male in their twenties or thirties. Japan and GDI created a secret alliance between each other to counter any other alien threat, although there weren't any recent alien activities after the use of WMDs. Their alliance became public 6 months later after the alliance.

Ten years later, Japan has created a new test weapon, the Sonic Divers. A mech unit that can take on human maneuvers. While Japan got a technology leap, GDI has increased the number of Ion Cannons in space just in case of any dangerous situation as the result of the WORM attack, they also researched a family for they discovered something unusual among the family. This family, the Shepperd family, have immunity to Tiberium within the family blood. They don't know what is it that is making them immune to Tiberium. Most Tiberium has been eradicated from the Earth although some Red Zones still exist.

With these giant leaps in mind, man-kind never knew that something was still amiss...that...something was about to change the world forever...

    CHAPTER 1

    GDI Tiberium Research Facility
    Kyoto, Japan
    Blue Zone B-20

"Do we have to go through this again?"
"Yes, it's the only way to continue our research. You and your family are interesting after all."

In a science lab, a young girl-around her teen years-was sitting up on the table with a female doctor-about twenty years older than her-was examining the girl's body. The doctor checked every part of the body. Upper and lower. Every part of it from the head to the toes. She even check her breast and pubic parts throughly. The doctor nodded twice and then put her doctor tools back in the cabinet.

"Okay Rebbecca, you're fine. You can leave the room now."
"Finally. I feel that I have been violated a thousand times already."

Rebbecca slipped off the table and grabbed her uniform which had a number of metals and ribbons attached to the uniform that represented her ranking and slipped them on. She felt that having her whole body checked all the time wasn't that necessary. She left the room flipping a strand of her purple hair. Rebbecca stepped outside of the room and found the rest of her brothers and sisters sitting outside, waiting there. Rebbecca blinked and saw her family turned their attention to her as the door behind her slid closed. Her blue eyes caught her brother that was sitting the closet to her.

One of Rebecca's brothers had more ribbons and metals on his uniform. His hair was glowing blue with white streaks along with his gold eyes. His body was fined tuned for any purpose. He was fit and his uniform showed that. His uniform had his name on it, Johnathan, on the upper-left chest of the uniform. His ranking, Captain-with two horizontal bars-was located on both shoulders of the uniform. He looked like he was ready for anything, even though he didn't have his weapons in hand.

Another brother of Rebecca's looked larger than her. His very blonde hair and his glowing green eyes make him look like a force to reckon with. His ranking is Captain like Johnathan and Captain of the Zone Trooper Squadron. His ribbons, metals, and his name, Nathan, showed it. He to turn his attention to his sister that was sitting next to him. His sister had green-white streaking hair with glowing blue eyes that seemed to show that she was courageous and daring. She was Lieutenant just like Rebbecca and a lieutenant of the ZOCOM Zone Raider Squadron. Her uniform showed her rank and her name, Melissa. She didn't seem afraid of anything. Not even a big monster. Just the same metals and ribbons like Rebbecca only some are different.

The other two continued to look at Rebbecca's blue eyes but didn't seem to keep eye contact long enough and then turn toward to each other. One of them was a brother of the family. He had pure red hair and fierce blue eyes that seems to intimidate anyone that looked into it. He was only a sergeant and a Sergent of 1025th Infantry Squadron but he didn't seem to mind though. His uniform showed him only the few metals and ribbons he has but didn't mind that either. What he minded the most was his formal name, Matthew. He preferred to be called Matt instead. The sister that was sitting next to him smiled and put her hands behind her flare pink hair. She was just like Matt but somewhat different. She was a sergeant as well but the Sergent of 1035th Anti-tank Squadron. Her uniform showed the metals and ribbons she acquired and her name, Jessica. She preferred it that ways.

Jessica looked at Rebbecca with her deceiving green eyes and began to laugh decisively at Rebbecca. Rebbecca put her attention toward Jessica and put her hands on her waist.

(Rebbecca)"What are laughing about? The fact that I had to get a quarantine again?"
    (Jessica)"Yep."

Rebbecca snorted in disbelief but she already knew why Jessica does what she does all the time. After all, she knows her for as long they were around each other. Rebbecca closed her eyes half way and began to talk back.

"You know, you should be careful of what you say."
    "Right."
    (Nathan)"She does have a point."
(Melissa)"Yeah, at least you don't have to go around laughing all the time."
"Tsh, I'm not even scared of what everyone has to say."
    (Matt)"Really?"
(Johnathan)"Alright that enough guys, we have more things on our minds than just smart mouthing. You guys heard what Japan created recently right?"
"Yeah, Japan just created a new mech unit that can pilots like a jet and moves like a mech."
    "Sigh. The Sonic Diver."
"Yeah, but we got a response of our own."
"The Fire Falcon. A new project that GDI put their minds into and...pretty much stuck to it."
"But I think that the Sonic Diver is much better than our Fire Falcon."
"We'll talk more about them later. Let's just leave here first."

The family stood up and began to walk over to the exit on the other side of the room. They moved in a group formation which is very odd around GDI facilities but it was just a matter of adapting to the world. Almost everyone moved in groups and not just in single file lines. As the group moved to the door, the door slid open and light shined onto the family's eyes. As the family members walked through the door, GDI personnel gave the family their greetings and waved to them or nodded. The family did the same as they made their exit through the research doors.

The family got their view of the GDI military installations. GDI created this base just in case anything from space attacks again. The base is close to Kyoto to protect its citizens from alien attack. A vehicle pulled up toward the family, a GDI personnel was sitting in the driver seat alone. This vehicle took form of a Pitbull but it was unarmed meant for transport only and not for combat. The personnel got out of the vehicle and went around to the family and saluted them. The family in return saluted back.

(GDI Personnel) "The vehicle is ready for you Shepherds. You are to report back to General Alexander in Central Command for a set of briefings on some of our new projects."
"Understood. We'll head there right now."
    (GDI Personnel) "Dismissed."

The personnel walked past the family and into the Research Building. The Shepperd family then got in the Pitbull. Johnathan first in the driver's seat and Rebbecca in the passenger's seat. Johnathan closed the door to the driver side and Rebbecca closed the door to the passenger side. The rest got in the vehicle using the door in the back of the vehicle. There were four seats available. Nathan first, then Melissa, Matt, and Jessica last closing the door behind her. Johnathan found the keys still in the ignition. One of the tags had a note on it. It read, "Return keys to factory personnel once you arrive at the Central War Factory." Some of the other tags just had some notices that was common when using the Pitbull in combat-related situations.

Johnathan turned the keys toward the dashboard and the engine in the vehicle began to make some noises and a rev sound. The Pitbull was now active and ready to drive. Johnathan then stepped on the gas with his right foot gradually and the vehicle began to move. He then looked around. No personnel on the streets but there were personnel on the side walks so he had to be careful not to carelessly drive too fast. The road was clear and he began to drive slightly faster. He began to drive toward the direction with the tallest building, the Central Building. Jessica leaned toward Rebbecca's seat and then leaned left to see where the family was heading. Rebbecca looked left from the corner of her eyes and saw Jessica looking to see where the family was going as usually does. The family approached the Central Building toward the the left of the vehicle's side.

Johnathan began to slow down the vehicle. He passed the building and then approached the Central War Factory that connected to the Central Building.

    "Finally. It's about time."
    "We're here."
    "The Central War Factory."
    "Factory Number One that is."
"Let's just get out of this cramped Pitbull when we stop for sure."
    "Point taken."

The garage door that led into the factory opened when Johnathan approached the factory. As the door finished opening up, he drove the Pitbull in. The interior factory contained a robotic crane that moved autonomously with a simple press of a button to construct a certain vehicle you chose. Johnathan then turned the ignition toward him which shut off the vehicle. The family then got out of the vehicle, stretched their legs and arms, and went through the door that led to the Central Building. The family went through the first door. Johnathan tossed the keys of the Pitbull to one of the factory personnel and the family saluted to the personnel that were in the factory. The closest personnel caught the keys and saluted back.

The family went through the second door and into the Central Command. This build was about twenty stories high. It's architectural design was as advanced as the ones back at America. The family went to the nearest elevator doors. Most personnel waved and saluted to the family as the family way their way to the elevators. As they arrived, Johnathan hit the elevator buttons that led them straight up toward the highest floor. A elevator door opened and it revealed a empty elevator. The family entered the elevator with Nathan and Melissa first due to their size, then Johnathan and Melissa were next, and last but not least, Jessica and Matt. An EVA spoke toward the family.

    (EVA) "Floor please."
    "Twenty."
    (EVA) "Floor Twenty."

The doors began to close. Matt spotted a female personnel rushing toward them. She looked like she was in a rush. She didn't look like she was going to make it either.

    "Open elevator doors."

The doors stopped closing and began opened again. The personnel ran into the elevator panting for her life.

    "Close doors."

The doors began to close again, only they shut tight. When the personnel was finished panting, she stood up and saluted to the family. The family did the same.

(Female GDI Personnel) "Thank you for holding the door for me."
    "No problem."
    "What level ma'am?"
    (Female GDI Personnel) "Twenty."

The elevator began to move. The personnel positioned herself near the door and leaned on the wall. She was holding important documents that looked important. After a few seconds she stood before the family, she looked like she was going to introduce herself.

(Megan) "Oh, you must be the Sheperd family. Let me introduce myself. I'm Megan of InOps. I'll be guiding all of you through any missions we get from this point on."

She began to point to each of the family members of the Sheperds.

    "You must be..."
"Captain Johnathan Sheperd. I'm a commando."
    "Zone Trooper Captain Nathan Sheperd."
    "Zone Raider Lieutenant Melissa."
"Lieutenant Rebbecca of the Sniper Team sector."
"Matthew. Sergeant of the 1035th Infantry Squadron."
"And Jessica. Sergeant of the 1035th Anti-tank Squadron."

Megan nodded her head in belief. She pulled out a pen, pulled off its cap, attatched it to the other end of the pen, and began to write their names on her clipboard. She needed it to remember their names. Once she finished, she closed her pen, placed it back in her uniform pocket, and flipped a stinge of her orange hair out of her eyes.

"I'm looking forward to working with you guys and gals."

The elevator stopped. They arrived at the top floor. Megan and the Sheperds return their attention to the elevator doors. The doors began to slide open and they revealed some one at the door. He appeared to be waiting for them. Once the doors opened fully, his real appearence came into picture. He had greyed out hair, winkled skin, and dimming blue eyes. His metals and ribbions showed that he had a long history with GDI. Megan and the Sheperds saluted to the General. The General did the same.

"People, welcome to GDI Central Command. I am General Alexander."

    CHAPTER 2

    GDI Central Command
    Kyoto, Japan
    Blue Zone B-20

The General led Megan and the Shepherds down a hallway and into the command room, which has valuable information and computer to asses what's going on in every zone. Like Central Command in Washington D.C., this room overlooked the entrance to Central Command. This room looked exactly like the one back in D.C.

"Gentleman, I like to brief you on what's going on."

Everyone turned their attention to the primary monitor and saw some files come up. Some of them looked recognizing to everyone in the room. The general pressed some buttons on a keyboard and it opened a file that had a mech unit and a recognizing symbol. The Sonic Divers.

"As you noticed, Japan created a new test weapon, the Sonic Divers. "
"They are most impressive machines compared to ours."
"Yes. But apparently, it was tested earlier afternoon yesterday. Something went wrong with their 'synchronization' during the test but the problem was resolved."
    "Was anyone hurt?"
"No. No injuries or casualties were reported."
"What do we have that can match up to those mech units? We barley have the equipment to make a decent Juggernaut."
"We do have a response of our own."

The general pressed more buttons and another file opened. This file also had something recognizing. It was a Firehawk but this wasn't standard though. It had some high-tech equipment that nobody seen before.

"This is our project, the Firefalcon. It's not as advanced as the Sonic Divers but it can match up to it."

The general pressed more buttons and it showed the schematics for the Firefalcon and words popped up, showing every significant part of the plane. The schematics showed it didn't have the standard weapons of the Firehawk.

"The Firefalcon was created out of the standard Firehawk and now we were able to take it to the next level. It is fully customizable and has improved features over the Firehawk such as a built-in EVA, better engines, and state-of-the-art boosters. We have chosen a few only to fly this unit due to the expensive costs we were able to put into it."
"That's good to hear but what about the weapons? We can't possibly put that unit out on the field without any weapons."
"Like I said, 'it's fully customizable'. The weapons, engine, boosters, everything is up to the pilot."
"How many of these planes were you able to make?"
    "Only eight unfortunately."
"So that means we need eight to sixteen pilots?"
"We only need eight. The EVA in the ship will be their co-pilot."
"That means less casualties but what about the EVAs? Will they be able to interact with the pilots properly? And who are the pilots?"
"The EVA can do anything it wants as long it doesn't ignore orders. If it does, we change the EVA but it usually doesn't ignore orders. As for the pilots..."

Alexander began to push more buttons and brought up the pilot roster. The names, appearance, ranking, birth date, everything about the pilots were brought up to the main screen.

"This is where you come in. You're going to meet the pilots face to face and greet them. You also going to meet some new people in command and you have a new mission."
    "What's the mission sir?"
"You'll be working under the new commander for now on."

Everyone remained silent. Everyone was speechless. This is very odd for the general to give up command to a special team to someone else. After a few seconds of silence, Johnathan stood up.

"Yes sir. We'll meet the pilots and the new commander and we'll be under his or her orders for now on until further notice."
"That's what I like to hear. Dismissed."

Everyone else stood up and saluted to Alexander. He also did the same. The Shepherds were the first to leave the room along with Megan. Alexander turned his attention to the window that overlooked the entrance once more.

    "Good luck guys."

    GDI Airfield
    Kyoto, Japan
    Blue Zone B-20

A group consisting of four men were standing outside near an hanger door that opened like a mouth from the top when launching an aircraft from the airfield. Nearly all of them were in the mid-teen years and looked like they just joined the GDI Air Force.

One of them looked like the leader, his ranking was captain and another badge was shown below his ranking badge, it had a falcon pictured on the uniform and the words 'Firefalcon Squadron Alpha'. On his right chest his name was shown, Nicholas Jackson. He preferred to be called Jackson though. He brushed his white hair and set his blue eyes on to his squad mate sitting on the create with his legs spread out to the two front corners of the create. This man with copper style hair had his sights on an instructions manual about the Firefalcon. Jackson knew what he liked to do. He knew him by the name of First Luietenant Zack Jefferson but he liked to call him Zack instead and his indigo blue eyes showed him just that.

Another pilot was looking at his watch. He looked like he had a schedule. His red eyes reflected off his watch's safety glass. He looked at his uniform as he brushed his sandy hair. His ranking, Second Lieutenant and his name, Fred Madison. Another pilot was sleeping on two creates that were pushed together. His teal hair told everyone about him, a lot of things. He opened his gold eyes and he saw a clear sky. His name was Henry Frent. Sergent Major of the Firefalcon Squadron Alpha. He then closed his eyes again.

(Fred) "Hey, does anyone know when the other four are coming out?"
(Zack) "You should be paitent. Not everything happens in a split second."
(Henry) "I just want to sleep right now..."
(Jackson) "Calm down everyone. We just got word from General Alexander that we're going to meet the Shepherd family."
    "The Shepherds?"
    "Yes. The one and only..."
"They can handle the ground but what about the air?"
"I have a dream that you'll have to face the enemy on the ground..."
"I can take the whole world on if you really wanted me to buddy..."

The boys heard some engine sounds in front of them. Henry opened one of his eyes and saw an Armored Personnel Carrier that just stopped. He opened his other eye and got up, along with Jackson, Zack who just closed the instructions manual, and Fred who looked impatient. They walked over to the APC to see who it was and why when the other four are coming out?

"Well well, if it isn't 'the one and only' Shepherds."
    "You got that right boy."
    "I'm Captain Johnathan Shepherd."
"And I'm Captain Nicholas Jackson. It's a honor to meet you."
"And it's a honor to meet you."

    CHAPTER 3

    GDI Airfield
    Kyoto, Japan
    Blue Zone B-20
    Cpt. Johnathan Shepherd

My team and myself shook hands with the first four pilots of the Fire Falcon Squadron, only half of the squadron were here at the moment. I wonder where the other four are?

    "Where's the other four?"
"There still examining the planes. They should be done right about now."
"Good. My squadron and I will like to meet them as well."
    (Unknown Voice) "Well they're here..."

An unknown voice came from the hanger doors. As I turned my attention to the doors, four men were walking out of the hanger. I saw their ribbons, metals, and badges. They were the other four of the Fire Falcon squadron. Joseph Flint, Christopher Barrows, Anthony Connors, and Kevin Jones.

Flint was the one with the bright green hair and brown eyes. His hair makes him stand out. Barrows has dark blue hair with bright blue eyes while Conner is the one with dark violet hair and purple eyes. And finally Jones, the guy with dull hair and brown eyes.

(Flint) "Good to see that the Shepherds are real. I really didn't think that someone or even a whole family immune to Tiberium by birth would be standing right in front of me."
(Fred) "I'd be saying the same thing."
(Barrows) "Good thing we have some visitors."
(Connor) "I like to see some performance from them in person."

Captain Flint knows how to command an air force by himself but tends to overdue it. Sergent Barrows is one of those people who likes positive stuff rather than hearing the negative stuff. First Lieutenant Conner isn't afraid to say anything, even if it gets him into trouble and Second Lieutenant Jones likes to be quiet. He doesn't say much but at least we know what his motives are.

"We need to show you those planes that GDI has been working on and there's also a surprise for you Shepherds."
    "A surprise eh?"
    "This will be interesting."
"Can you show us this surprise?"
"Of course. But you need to see our ships first. General's orders."
"Okay, take us to your ships."

We began to follow the pilots into the hangers. Flint closed the hanger doors behind us with a push of the button on the wall inside next to the door. Guessing this is confidential to the public and only know to everyone inside GDI. Jackson then turned on the lights showing us a empty hanger.

    "Umm...where are the Falcons?"
    "There right here."

I turned to Jackson when he pulled up his sleeve on his uniform and pressed a button on his watch. I looked back at the empty hanger and then saw the eight Falcons in the hanger as they were revealing themselves. It seems they've been equipped with camouflage technology.

    "This is definitely interesting."
    "Interesting is the right word."

I began to walk around examining the planes from the outside perspective. I took about half-an-hour to do my examinations of the planes. These are 'interesting' as Nathan said. But I guess they all have been customized with stealth technology for the examinations.

"Impressive. I never seen such stealth technology compared to the Brotherhood of Nod's Vertigo Bombers."
"We basically took Nod's stealth technology and twittered around with it and came up with these results. We customized these planes with stealth technology. We can easily adjust our planes for any use."
"Anyone else that will be getting a look at these new toys?"
"Yes. A group of people want to see some proof that this actually works or have this squadron disbanded."
"Then you better test fly this bad boy."
    "What about our surprise?"
"We're getting to it right now."

Jackson and Flint led us out of the hanger and into another hanger. What we saw in the next hanger was what appeared to be something two times the size of us, covered up.

    "So what are they?"
    "They are..."

Jackson pulled off the covers and showed us a set of Wolverines but they looked like and are modified from their standard models.

    "The Genesis."
"Customized Wolverines created just for you Shepherds."
    "Nice."
"Do each one of them have any differences between these and the Wolverines?"
"The Genesis have more armor for assault operations and customizable weapons. They move faster, they can jump..."
    "They can jump?!"
    "Yes, they can jump."
"They can also self-repair themselves if they aren't active and have an improved cockpits compared to the Wolverines."
"Now this is what we're talking about."

I took a look at our Genesis and thought about how the Wolverines worked. It seems that GDI means business even though the war with Nod is already over. But I still wonder about the cyborgs that attacked the Rocky Mountains for the Tacitus. Will we be needing these for them?

"I heard there was another surprise for us. What is it?"
"General Alexander wanted me to tell you that we have two new commanders."
"Who are they and where are they?"
"One of them is here and another is back in Washington DC at Central Command."
"Where is this commander here? We need to meet him right away by General's orders."
"Hmph. That's funny. You are that commander."

There was silence between my family and me. Me? The commander? So this was the surprise eh? The Fire Falcons, the Genesis, my promotion to commander? This was truly surprising.

"Tell the General that I gladly accept the position."
    "Good to hear."
"Anymore toys or promotions I need to hear?"
"You'll need to report to the Barracks for some new infantry weapons."
"I see. Thanks for the surprise, Captains."
"It's a pleasure to meet you."

    CHAPTER 4

    Oppama Air Festival Grounds; Airfield
    Yokosuka, Japan
    Blue Zone B-20
    Captain Nicholas Jackson

We got a new assignment recently. To show off our new Fire Falcons at the Oppama Air Show in Yokosuka. Too bad the Shepherds have to stand by at Central Command for some simulations. The air show will finally show the Sonic Divers along with our Fire Falcons to the public so we're the first to get a look at them along with our planes to the public of course.

My team and Flint's were on the airfield watching the normal stuff-you know, rescue helicopters, combat jets, etc.-until something that caught our eyes came along. Apparently a new combat plane will be showed off first before the Sonic Divers and our Fire Falcons. We saw this man stroll into the hanger. I believe he was the pilot of that new plane. I think he going to see what's going on. After a few seconds we then saw him walk out of the hanger after getting his look at the Sonic Divers. He was on his way toward us. I wondered what he wanted with us.

    Who are you...?

He then showed his I.D. to us.

(Hizaki) "I'm Colonial Hizaki of the Eastern Asian Allied Forces."

After some moments of silence, he then said something else.

(Hizaki) "So this is the Fire Falcon?"
    "Yes sir..."
(Hizaki) "Hmph. I like to see it stand up against the Big Viper."

He then just walked away, to his plane of his. The Big Viper? What is this all about? 'Stand up against the Big Viper'? None of this makes sense at the moment but it will...eventually.

Later, I heard a rescue operation interrupted the air show. GDI is sure to hear about this. I also got a call from General Alexander sending in the Shepherds to the rescue operation. Looks like we're going have to wait.

    ************************************************** ***********************

    GDI Hammerheads
    Inbound to Tanzawa, Japan
    Blue Zone B-20
    Commander Johnathan Shepherd

Finally, a real mission. A part of Japan was just hit by a mudslide. Most of the homes there were destroyed as a result and many people are still missing and need rescue. Rain was getting heavier and we needed more than just us on this operation.

(Hammerhead Pilot) "We're almost at the operation area. Prepare for deployment."

I nodded my head to the pilot and nodded to my team. My team nodded back at me. We were ready for this operation. As we came closer to the deployment zone, we felt the helicopter get lighter as we came closer. The effects of a hurricane were coming in. We got there to the deployment zone successfully and our Hammerhead landed. We came out of the helicopters with our rescue equipment. Jump Jets, medical kits, flashlights, whatever we needed to get the job done.

"Megan here. Do you read Commander?"
    "I read you, go ahead."
"Your team won't have to tackle this operation alone. We got confirmation of the Sonic Divers heading toward your position to help with the operation."
"Roger that, we'll look out for them. Johnathan out."

My team moved quickly, there wasn't much time. As we were moving, we managed to find a family of five squirming on the trees. A set of survivors, a good start.

    "Are you okay?"

The family nodded all together. That's a relief.

"It's okay for you to come down."
    "Jonathan, mudslide!"

I also noticed the mudslide coming right at us. We didn't have much time to stand here.

"Nathan, Melissa, on me. Everyone else get to the other side!"
    (Nathan and Melissa) "Roger."
    (Rebbecca, Matthew, and Jessica) "Roger."

I redirected my attention to the family.

"Stay calm everyone, were going to help."

Nathan, Melissa, and I activated our jump jet packs and began to levitate in the air. We flew into the tree that the family was stranded in and we managed to find a foothold on the tree.

    "Grab on."

The wife and daughter grabbed onto Melissa while the husband and son took hold of Nathan. I was responsible for the second daughter of the family. We quickly jump jet away from the tree as the mudslide quickly knocked it down at high speeds. As we landed, I put the second daughter down and on her feet. Nathan and Melissa did the same.

    (Husband) "Thank you."
    "No problem."
"InOps, this is Johnathan, we managed to rescue our first set of survivors, we're continuing our mission."
"Stay with us, and try not to fall behind. Team, let's move."

We began to move up the hill to continue our search. We looked over the hill and noticed a lot of debris. We won't be able to get everyone out in this storm. The situation looked hopeless at this moment but my team and I weren't ready to give up yet. Just then, I got a transmission from an unknown source but I was able to make out who it was instantly.

(Eika) "This is Eika Ijhiro from the Sonic Diver Unit. We've confirm there's a nearby rescue team. If you're that team, please respond."
"This is Commander Shepherd of GDI's Special SpecOps Unit. We are the rescue team that is nearby. We'll be needing assistance for the operation. I'm launching a flare from our current location. Find it ASAP and rendezvous with us."
    "Roger."

I pulled out a flare gun and aimed it in the air. Then I squeezed the trigger and the gun launched the flare straight into the air. The flare made a bright light that can be seen by anyone staring directly at it.

"We see the flare. We're on our way."
    "Roger that. Shepherd out."

We made our way down the hill and into the town that was devastated by the hurricane. We started to head toward to the nearest house. This house was smaller than the others and we decided to check it out first. The doorway to the house was blocked by a rock that collapsed from the valley and into the entry way. I decided to move to the blocked entry way to see if anyone was still in there and still alive.

    "Anyone in there?"

I waited for a few seconds but no response. I waited for a few more seconds but still no response. My team decided it was abandoned. Suddenly, we heard voices from the house. They seemed to be an elderly man and a son.

(Voice) "Is anyone out there? Please, help us!"
"Hang on, one of my men is on the way. Nathan, break this rock and retrieve them."
    (Nathan) "Yes sir.

I saw Natan move over to the rock and he placed his left hand on the rock that was blocking the entrance. He took a couple of deep breaths and then he pushed off the rock with his left hand and punched the rock with the right. The rock shattered and he scrambled over the debris of rock and into the house. It took him a couple of seconds to find the two civilians and help them out of the house.

(Elderly Man) "Thank you, young man."
    (Son) "Thanks mister."
    (Nathan) "No problem."
"This is Commander Shepherd. We managed to rescue another set of survivors. We need to evacuate the set of civilians before we can move on."
"Roger that, we're reading the current forecast and the strom and skies should be clearing up right now. A team of V-35 Ox Transports have your positions and they are currently on their way. ETA 3 minutes."
"We're closing in on your position Shepherd, we'll assist you shortly."
"Roger InOps and Eika. Shepherd out."

Good. This operation should be smooth sailing now. We continued into town, clearing the area of civilians. As we were helping out the civilians, the rain stopped and a bright light came from above. The sun is out and the skies are clear. It seems that InOps was correct about the weather. We moved to the center of town and waited for civilian evacuation.

"Sir, the Sonic Diver Unit has arrived from the South."
"So have the transports, from the East."
"This mission should be a cake walk now. But this doesn't mean it's over yet."

I saw the transports land and the Sonic Diver Unit arrive. I counted the number of civilians with us. Seven. We didn't lose a civilian. That was good.

(Husband) "Are we going to get relocated from this area?"
(Elderly Man) "We love this area and we like to stay in this area."
"No, you won't. I'll have the transports take you to to the bottom of this mountain where it's safe and take you back up here once it has been cleared out and fixed up. Please board the transports."

They all nodded as they boarded the transport. When everyone boarded, the transports took off and headed South. Then I turned to the Sonic Diver Unit. The unit consist of three pilots and three units. The one with the yellow unit had a long, strand of black hair, brown eyes, and blue suit. The second one had the green one with orange hair, dark brown eyes, and white suit. The last one had the brown unit with, dimmed white hair, silver eyes, and orange suit. The one in command of the unit was the yellow one.

    "Good work, Shepherd."
Thanks, Eika. Now we just need to clean up the mess."
    "Roger, let's get started."

My team spreaded out, clearing out the area and checking for civilians. During the long enduring hours, cameras were hovering and watching us as we continued to clean up after what happened during the storm. I noticed one of the Sonic Diver pilots wave to one of the cameras during work. I believe a lot of people were watching us clean up. We also got some information on a news channel that the Sonic Diver Unit was given the code-name "Sky Girls". At least we won't have to get into confusion now.

"Eika, we just got word from the media that you and your Sonic Diver Team was just givien the name 'Sky Girls'."
    "Is that so?"
"Yeah. By the way, thanks for the help, we own you one."

    CHAPTER 5

    GDI Barracks
    Yokosuka, Japan
    Blue Zone B-20
    Commander Jonathan Shepherd

My team and myself have been relocated along with General Alexander to Yokosuka due to a number of reasons, mainly, due to the hurricane incident in Tanzawa but also our new toys are over at Yokosuka as well so we'll be testing them along with the Genesis that are being transported over as well. The GDI base is currently stationed a couple of miles away from the Yokosuka Airfield-that is where the Sky Girls are stationed as well. As we entered the barracks we were immediately greeted by General Alexander who was standing near an elevator that leads to the bottom of the barracks. We walked over to him and saluted to him. He saluted to us as well.

    "Sorry about the transfer Shepherds."
"We don't mind, General. We're always ready for anything."
"I'm glad to hear that from you, Commander. Now let's get ourselves to the testing areas."

Alexander turned around as the elevator doors opened up. He then entered along with ourselves in the elevator. The elevator doors closed and the elevator began to move down toward the bottom. When the elevator got to the bottom, the elevator doors opened. The barracks consisted of a cafeteria, resting quarters, an armory, a training area, and a weight room. We made our way through the cafeteria and through the weight room. We arrived at the armory, where our new weapons and armor are waiting for us, along with a couple of authorized personnels who are hear to see the new test of weapons and armor. Alexander stepped toward the three personnel.

"Gentleman, I will like to introduce you to our six special soldiers. The Shepherds."
(Personnel 1) "The six of them?"
"Yes sir. These are the best of the best."
(Personnel 2) "They'll have to show us if they're really the best. We'll like to begin the test now."
"Very well. Shepherds, the room up ahead will have your new armor. Please step in your perspective room and equip your armor. Then, wait for transmission from me and the personnel."
    "Yes sir."

My team and I stepped into the room and the door behind us closed. There were six doors before us when we entered the room. We immediately recognized our rooms and I went to the door on the far left. While Rebbecca walked over to her perspective door next to me and the others to their perspective doors. As the doors opened themselves, we entered our rooms and the doors shut themselves. I found an armor frame in my room and there was another opening. This opening was meant for my uniform so I took my uniform off and stepped into the frame. I felt the cold leather in the armor as I matched the stance of the armor frame. Once I got into position, I began to hear clicks around me as my armor began to lock itself in. From my feet to my body, the new commando armor closed itself automatically. Of course, I can manually put on the armor like the original commando armor. The helmet came last as the helmet went around my head and covered my whole head, even though my hair was in the way. This is also what I heard and saw in my helmet visor after I fitted myself in my armor's EVA:

    REGISTERING GDI COMMANDO ARMOR 3.0...
    INITIALIZING BIO MONITORS...
    INITIALIZING RADAR...
    INITIALIZING WEAPON MONITORS...
ACTIVATING JUMP JET SYSTEMS AND MONITORS...
    ACTIVATING TARGETING SYSTEM...
    REGISTERING ACTIVE USER...
ACTIVE USER DETECTED AS COMMANDER JONATHAN SHEPHERD.
    MONITORS AND SYSTEMS INITIALIZATION COMPLETE.

I felt the suit began to adapt to my body very quickly as the suit registered to my body, comforting every part of it from head to toe. I can get used to this very quickly.

INCOMING MULTIPLE TRANSMISSIONS. ESTABLISHING VIDEO UPLINKS.

Heck, I even get multiple transmissions and I get video uplinks as well. My suit brought up multiple video transmissions from my brothers and sisters, along with General Alexander and the supervisors. They were shown on my visor.

"Please confirm Shepherds if you're getting this transmission."
    "Confirmed."
    "Confirmed."
    "Confirmed."
    "Confirmed."
    "Confirmed."
    "Confirmed."
"Okay Shepherds. After much research on the Scrin's technology, we managed to perfect the shield ability that their unit uses and your suits have a shield ability to withstand most attacks and an EMP blast. The shields will now go under a test to see if they actually regenerate themselves. Stand by we're now starting the test."

I began to see lights around my body. Energy began to build up in the room and the sound began to intensify. After a few seconds of charging, a quick flash appeared and my shields were drained completely. I saw my brothers eyes along with Melissa's were still open after that quick discharge. Rebbecca's eyes just opened up and Jessica opened one of her eyes before opening the other one. As this was happening, my shields began to charge very rapidly. In one second, my shields were back at one-hundred percent. I noticed that one of the personnel looked wowed by the shields.

(Personnel Three) "Interesting. The shields that we adapted from the aliens managed to charge ten times faster."
"There's has to be a flaw in the shields if they charge this fast."
"There is. If the suit is doing multiple things that require energy at once, the shields will take longer to charge but they still recharge regardless unless the shields are hit by an EMP blast. Then they take at least six seconds to fully charge again."
"I can get used to this very quickly."
"Let us hope that you do. We're going to open the doors to a changing obstacle course to test your reflexes in your perspective suits with Jonathan being first."
    "Roger, General. I am ready."

Stretching my legs and arms, the doors ahead of me opened and the obstacle course was in plain sight. The obstacle course began to shift itself, setting itself up to test my reflexes. On the other side of the obstacle course was a red button on a stand.

"Jonathan, you'll need to reach the red button and press it in under two minutes."
    "Okay. I'm good to go."
"Wait for the buzzer and then you can begin."

I got ready for the course and set myself so I can fly out of the gate quickly. After five seconds, the buzzer sounded and I flew out of the gate running. The course shifted to challenged my reflexes so I side-stepped quickly, rolled, spun, and hurled over and around the obstacles that came in my way. The red button was in sight and within reach but before I can get to it, the course shifted the button higher than I can jump, so I used my jump jets to get to the button and when I got to the button, I pressed it before my feet were even back on the ground. The buzzer sounded again as I pressed the button and landed back on the ground.

"As expected from you Jonathan, you cleared the course in under two minutes with only one minute left on the clock."
(Personnel Two) "The course made it very difficult for him and yet he cleared the course with his own skills."
(Personnel One) "No. He just got lucky."
"It's called training and practicing. I'm prepared for anything, including my brothers."
    "Rebbecca, you're next to go."
    "Understood."

Rebbecca went after me. After her, it was Nathan, then Melissa, Jessica, and Matthew last. We all went very fast. Rebbecca was in actually armor now compared to the current sniper armor which wasn't even armored. She also had green transparent glasses on and I also could see her eyes and HUD very easily. The glasses must be connected to the armor itself. Nathan's Zone Trooper Armor was lightened up-allowing more faster movement. He also didn't need a helmet since the suit provided protection to his head and his HUD was on the big visor of the suit so it was obvious to everyone. Melissa's Raider Armor had the same upgrades as Nathan's suit did but her rockets were now inside the suit itself and pop up when they attack air units so she can attack without having to be targeted. Her helmet's visor was transparent and her face-along with her HUD-was visible without having to look too hard. Matthew's and Jessica's Infantry Armor were now more resistant to bullets and even to flame weaponry. They were also lighter to allow more movement and breathing room.

(Personnel Three) "They have impressed me so far with just their skills."
(Personnel Two) "But now they need to pass one more test."
"And that's exactly what they're going to do. Shepherds, we're opening the door to the final room, the shooting range. You'll be testing the new weapons just for you guys. We hope you'll like them."
"We'll enjoy ourselves when we get in there."

The door to the next room opened ahead. We entered and we were in the shooting range before we knew it.

"You're weapons are on the table."
    "We see them."
"Your HUD will mark your perspective weapons."

As General Alexander said, my HUD pointed to my weapon with a square around it. I picked it up and examined it for a bit. This weapon looked brand new from the other commando rifles I wielded previously but this one looked very unique and almost recognizing.

    WEAPON ACQUIRED.
    WEAPON: ST-2500 PHOENIX ASSAULT RIFLE.

The Phoenix Assault Rifle eh? This weapon was slightly heavier than the standard commando rifle due to a grenade launcher on the front end of the rifle. The weight balance was way off, with most of the weigh going to the front end of the rifle. However, once I inserted the clip into the back end of the rifle the weapon was able to balance itself out and the weight to both ends were perfected.

I put my eye on the rest of my brothers and sisters with their weapons. Rebbecca's Hawk Eye Sniper Rifle as I heard from her EVA combined technology from the second Tiberium Wars and the third. The low-light laser was able to designate targets without having to exploit the user's position to create a successful air strike and the microphone was able to hear conversations from afar without getting close. Melissa's new weaponry was a everything-in-one Sonic Mini Gun. Her weapon is not only effective against infantry but is also effective against about any type of vehicles, air or ground. Nathan's Rip Lash Rail Gun was upgraded from the standard rail gun to do area-effect damage to all vehicles and his Mini Gun V2 from TW 2 got an damage, capacity, and range upgrade, making it the most efficient heavy weapon in our arsenal. Jessica got and AVT-90 Rocket Launcher which was basically the upgraded version of the standard AVT-80. Her launcher can now follow targets via laser guide or heat seeking. She also has an Viper Shotgun-with a drum and high damage-for anyone who gets too close to her. Matthew acquired the brand new ZWR-1000 Assault Rifle that came with rail bullets for extra damage and a LPN-80k Prototype Magnum.

Targets from down range popped up and we shot each of the targets that came up. As I stated, we enjoyed ourselves in the shooting range, testing out our new arsenal.

    "Having fun Shepherds?"
    "Of course."
"Why don't you guys come out when you're done so we can demonstrate the Genesis."

Of course I forgot about the Genesis during the hurricane at Tanzawa.

"Don't worry, we won't get carried away."

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Later...

    GDI Vehicle Training Field
    Yokosuka, Japan
    Blue Zone B-20
    Commander Jonathan Shepherd
    Current Time: 1900 Hours

My team looked at our Genesis Mechs. All of them had machine guns but one of them had missiles, while the others had a rail cannons, sonic guns, sniper cannons, rail cannons and missiles, and a repair crane.

"Alright SHepherds, please board your perspective mechs."

My HUD showed me to my mech which had the cannons and missile packs. I jumped into the cockpit and the hatch closed itself. I sat on the seat as the mech initialized itself.

    INITALIZING HUD...
    SYSTEMS ARMED...

My genesis showed me my weapons status, armor status, and a radar in the top left corner of the screen. I placed my hands on both joysticks on the left and right.

    INCOMING TRANSMISSION...

My brothers, sisters, and Alexander and the supervisors appeared on the top right corner of the screen.

"Alright. We're going to shoot up targets from one of our battle ships. You'll need to destroy them to test the Genesis."
    (Shepherds) "Roger."

I began to move around using the joysticks to get used to the Genesis. So did my brothers and sisters until we spotted the battleship that our HUD pointed out. Targets began to pop out, which were outlined yellow. We began to shoot the targets with our weapons, testing them to their full potential.

    (Personnel Three) "Very impressive."
(Personnel Two) "These will be very helpful in future missions."
(Personnel One) "Hmph. You did impress me after all."

In the end, everything went well. I guess that our new technology will be very helpful in the future.

    Chapter 6 (Ongoing)

    GDI Armored Personnel Carrier
    Inbound to Tanzawa, Japan
    Blue Zone B-20
    Commander Jonathan Shepherd
    0700 Hours

My family just got word from Alexander that we were asked from the residence of Tanzawa-the same people that were hit by the hurricane-that we can relax and have a day off there so we can rest for an operation that is coming up soon that will require us to leave the country, I wonder what the operation is about. I felt the APC come to a stop. It looks like we are here at the destination. The door from the back of the APC opened up.

(GDI APC Driver) "We're here Shepherds."
    "Thanks for the ride."
(GDI APC Driver) "No problem. I'll come pick you guys up later."

As we saw the APC door close, it drove off down the hill. We headed toward the nearest house with our hiking backpacks. We noticed a white van when we got out of the APC but I didn't want to bother to who it belonged to. When we got to the bottom of the mountain, we were greeted by an elderly man and his son, the same people we escorted out of the town in the previous operation.

(Elder) "Oh, you must be the six that rescued us."
    "Yes sir."

I shook hands with the elder and the son. Including my brothers and sisters as well.

(Elder) "We haven't done introductions yet so let's get to it, I'm Menji. The major of this town and this is my son, Watanabe."
"Pleasure to meet you Menji and Watanabe. I'm Jonathan Shepherd, and these are my brothers and sisters."
    "I'm Rebecca Shepherd."
    "And I'm Nathan."
    "I'm Melissa."
    "Matthew."
    "And Jessica."
(Menji) "Ah, you guys must be a big family."
"Yes sir, we are a big family."
(Menji) "We reserved a cabin for you guys, one of our tokens of appreciation for helping us."
    "Lead the way."

We followed Menji and his son, Watanabe to the white-wooded cabin. When we walked in, we got our glimps of the interior of this cabin. This cabin was nicer and cleaner than the one next door. They have well-decorated tables, chairs, and very fixed beds. This is pretty unique compared to the other cabins we saw on the way.

(Menji) "I hope you guys can make yourselves comfortable..."
(Watanabe) "And we hope you enjoy your stay..."
"We'll enjoy every second of it."
(Menji) "We'll leave you guys to your business now. Call us if you need anything."
    "Thanks."

Menji and Watanabe walked out of the cabin and closed the door. It was great that they help us find a place to stay in, even with their town badly damaged from the hurricane. We began to unpack our stuff for today. It's seems its going to be a fun day but I still wonder who's fan is outside.

"So, are we going to go hiking or something?"
