Well, I'm fairly new at making sigs for myself and other people. I use the prgramp Gimp which is similar to photoshop. And the following are just a few sigs I've made for friends. Some are anime other are from Japanese boy bands or dramas or even TV shows. These sigs are big since the forum the people I made them for asked for that size.

Also I am willing to take sig request, just let me know who you want in the sig or if you have pics of them e-mail them to me and I'll get to work on it. Also let me know what size you'll want the sig.

Are you sure those are sigs??

Imo, those images are too big to be called signatures. What you've done is just pulled out and slapped a few low-quality extracts and then added in a lens-flare or two.

That's not going to work. There's a lot more to making a good signature and I suggest looking up tutorials so you get a general idea of how to do a sig on your own. Also, you'll end up eventually developing your own style after this.
So, give it another shot but with smaller images this time. See what else you can do with the effects in the GIMP ^^

Yes those are sigs, and I make them the size people want the. The forum they're in allows them to have any sig any size thay want. That's why they're that big.

I know my cropping could use a bit of work.

To be honest they can be better described as banners. =p Not just sigs... Either way, just making sigs is like the little leagues, wallpapers is where it's at. Ha.
Although, for my suggestion don't just use stocks and color overlays. Go to planetrenders.net and register and get some renders off there. Then go on dA and get some brushes. After that, just experiment with the brushes a bit and go from there. There are so many epic sigs that just have a solid color background and brushes in some places. At times they look tons better then ones that just use C4Ds. Simplicity ftw.
...Even if I am one of those few that use C4Ds. Ha ha.

okay, first of all let me quote something out of the rules

When posting a big image (bigger than 640x480px) use the "Manage Attachments" feature under "Additional Options".

This means that your "signatures" can be considered to be larger at.
Thus I'll be moving this to Dazzle Us.

[COLOR="Red"]Ok So I made this banner yesterday. I saw the skirt that Mary McDonnell was wearing and the way she looked and it reminded me of two characters. lol Well if you hvae ever watched Donny Darko then Mary should look familiar. She's Rose Darko.
