I think this is a great anime series. For a guy or girl. And guys who don't want to watch it because its to Yaoi like, must be really uncomfortable with their sexuality.(its different if you don't want to watch it because you don't think its any good)

So I was just woundering what every one thought about this topic.

Gender does not matter when you watch anime. That's like saying what if I'm a girl and I like Dragon Ball Z. As long as you like the anime/manga, who cares. Just enjoy what you watch and read.

Well I have read the first manga, and I watched the first episode, and I thought it was enjoyable. Though I must say that the english dubbed version reeks when compared to the subbed version. But unfortunately I haven't had time to watch or read it lately, but I'll be sure to check it out.

And as Raiken said, gender doesn't matter.

It's a very funny series, and the "yaoi" in the series is a joke actually aimed at making fun of fan girls. So it's awesome.

Actually speaking of Ouran High School Host Club, I just picked up the first volume[manga] of it yesterday and I must say its enjoyable and funny. My favorite characters are the twins.

Yaoi themes do not bother me, personally. Yuri themes most definitely do not bother me, but that is an entirely different matter.

There are many, many girls that like to watch Strawberry Panic, just because it is still cute and humourus to watch. It is just a normal "Slice of Life" school-set anime. It is just that it is set in a school with absolutely no males whatsoever and all the girls have crushes on one another, which is normal for growing teenagers. Ouran School is the same but from male standards. School Rumble is the same but instead it includes people from both genders having crushes on one another.

Gay and Lesbianism is supposed to be seen as an "Average/Normal" occurance where I come from, so I do not think it strange at all. Anyway this is just an animation. I do not complain about Yuri and therefore I have no rights to complain about Yaoi either.

As -Raiken- already mentioned, genre really doesn't matter when you watch Anime. Every anime is for everyone. I liked Gift Eternal Rainbow. By the name you think it's girly, but it's really not, lol.

I'm not a fan of the series for trying to do so much in little time. Skipping from the manga & going back & forth was a dumb move. If I wanted shota themes I'd watch Sukisho, but I don't. The whole Tamaki being a girl thing was so obvious & the fact that they caught on so quick lacked fun.

I love Ouran High School host Club, and im a guy...Heck, one of favorite shows is Loveless and its WAY more yaoi than OHSHC ever thought about being...My personal opinion is way more guys like these shows than are willing to say...

Why watch two guys macking on each other when I can watch Luffy go gear 3 and send Rob Lucci flying through a wall? I'd rather have cheesy romanticism with a can of butt-kick than a lame melodrama where bizarre, yet cliche to anime, things happen all the time.

I like Ouran High School Host Club for the humor and the randomness. The yaoi theme doesn't really bother me. I'm a guy and I don't mind watching so-called "girly" animes... then again, I'm an anime artist (being self-taught), and I want to see all different kinds of anime, not just stick to the same old genre with the same generic plot and characters.

I haven't seen that anime before, just some pictures abd previews, but other than that nothing else, and i know ppl that like it pretty much and a couple of then are guys, so i believe gender does not matter at all.
Me personally, i like a lot of shojos, like sailr moon, Card Captors, Itazura Na Kiss, and i do not feel bad at all just for watching anime for girls, so cheer up and dont feel bad about the things that you like to watch^^

Haruhi is the girl who they initially assumed was a guy, not Tamaki.

Ouran does not have any shonen-ai/Yaoi. The Hitachiin twins just pretend to be in love to torment their fangirls. They never actually engage in sexual acts with one another.

I like Ouran. It is a hilarious series.

One's gender is insignificant when it comes to liking anything. You can like whatever you want regardless of your gender.
