ふさいどく?

I've come across this word (phrase?) in the manga I'm reading, and I've no idea what it means. It's not in any dictionary, as far as I can tell (not in Jim Breen's, ALC, or Sanseido, anyway). The full sentence is "あとはふさいどくから気をつけて," so from context I'm assuming it means something like "difficult" or "dangerous," but it would be nice to know for sure.

Probably a contraction of 塞いでおく? Just like how ~とく is from ~ておく.

Yeah, that looks like what it is. They like to do that a lot in manga, don't they.

So something like "We'll close up (or something; whatever 塞ぐ is there) later, so be careful," right? What's the context?

You're probably right, Azu-chan -- I don't know why these things don't occur to me. It's a bit of an odd thing to say (to a group of Our Heroes who are about to go do something dangerous), but there is a hole in the wall in that panel which they might be talking about.

Now that I look at it again, though, I'm not actually sure　気をつけて　is part of the sentence -- it's in a separate bubble, so it could be something like "We'll close it up later" and then someone else saying "be careful," maybe? This manga is really bad about attributing speech; half the time the speech bubbles are just kind of floating there with no indication of who they belong to and I have to guess based on the speech pattern.

I agree with AzureDark-san, it's a contraction of 塞いでおく. Doing some backward math it seems like the context is that the speaker is seeing off the heroes and telling them "I'll take care of the hole (so don't worry about it and go), and be careful (in completing your mission)."

This is completely off topic, AzureDark-san, but I've been meaning to ask you for a while and I couldn't find the proper occasion; Who's the 娘 in your sig/avatar? I think I've fallen in love with her.
