Hope you join! This is my very first RPG posted here on AF.

History:

In the region of Ryuu, people have found a new use of what we call Music. The humans inhabiting the region are using the power of Music to calm children, talk to nature, and created it into their very own language. Peace was everywhere in the land, until it lost control of itself. The Music started to cause mass destruction; cities are falling, people are dieing. There were only a few survivors, all bearing the mark of Kiyoko, or "Pure Child". Those people were born with a mark of a star on their wrists. Whenever the destruction had passed and the cities lay in ruins, dragons would go to these people as if a calling. Those bearing a blue star were brought forth an Ice Dragon of the North. Those with red stars had Fire Dragons of the East. Green stars, Earth Dragons from the South. Aqua stars brought Water Dragons from the Eastern Oceans. These creatures soon became these humans' life source. There were rumors that if the dragon were to die, or the human, the other would also perish. But no one knows if it's true or not.

Soon after the Music destroyed Ryuu, it spread throughout the world, causing the same effects to other Regions just like it did to Ryuu. The World's populations are slowly decreasing and leaving only those with the markings and their dragons to fend for themselves against the wild animals of the Regions.

A few years had passed and the Kiyokos (For that is what they call themselves) set up a town known as Rei. There they set up a Kingdom (which has no name) and Guilds. The Fire Guild is for those that bear the red star marking. The Earth: for green stars. And so on and so forth. But, soon a young man who went by the man of Kioshi, was found out to have a golden star. The Kiyokos praised this man as a savior and a sign from the Heavens that their town would not be effected by the Music. So, they appointed him King of Rei and he grew to be married. But, all the greed and money got to his head and he killed his wife. He rules over Rei with an iron fist, making sure that everyone obeys him, and a powerful dragon known throughout the land.

But the Kiyokos have set up their own self government. (if you shall call it so) They intend to kill the King and make Rei a free Region. For now, they are in hiding till the time is right to strike. They send spies to work for the King and gather information; Messengers to deliver to other Guilds; Hunters to shoot down anyone who works for the King while they are out hunting. Many types of positions are given out to Kiyokos. What they don's know is that some of the Kiyokos are with the King and are spying for him. So, which side are you gonna choose?

Personality: Chioko always thinks about the bright side of things and never the bad, but hopes that one day, the Kind and his followers will fall. She is also very cheerful.
Bio: Chi grew up in the Southern part of Ryuu where Music was almost forbidden. But, it came, and almost all the southern tip's people vanished, including her family. How she raised herself, only she knowns and hopes to tell no one of the experience. How she raised herself was it wasn't actually she who raised herself; it was her dragon and faitful companion, Grangr. He fed her, gave her shelter in his cave in the mountains. Everything that she needed he would get her. When she was old enough, they traveled to the Kingdom of Rei. They had heard stories of this Evil King and wanted him off his throne. They both now belong to the Earth Guild.

Personality: Kiyoshi is a heartless and harsh King. He dislikes the Kiyoko's very much and their followers.
Bio: Kiyoshi was a young boy when he became King. Before then, he had no clue what had happened. A few years after he became King, he married. They had no childen for they thought it would disrupt the Kingdom and his throne might be at stake. But one day, all the money and greed got to his head and thought his wife was out to de-throne him and steal his money. So, he killed her. After, a the most powerful dragon throughout the land came to him. Kiyoshi decided to name him Gold, since his scales shone like gold in the sunlight. Now they rule Rei with an iron fist.

Personality: She usually optimistic but she can get rude and grumpy at times.
Bio: She was born to a family of hunters and she is to become the next generation and listen to follow the king, but she'd rather not get involved and keep peace amongst everyone. Her parents are part of the Kiyoko's but Janine is planning on not taking part in anyone's side. She's rather be her own person and not follow anyone's rules. When she gets older she wishes to travel and be far away from her home and all it's drama.

@FallenBabyDoll: Yes. Everyone has a dragon. The marks they have on their wrist summon a dragon to become a companion.

@Kay_Ryu: Since you're character is a Hunter in-training, are you aiming for her to become a Hunter and become part of the Kiyoko's? Oh, and make your bio a tad bit longer and make it to where her dragon wasn't given to her. The markings, like I told FallenBaby, summon their dragons. It's sorta like a calling; Only one special dragons out of many can belong to one human.

Personality: When not battling Karasu is cool and composed. He silent and doesn't talk much. Its as if he is prone not to have a personality what so ever.
Bio: Karasu was born on the wrong side of life. His village had strange practices of turning their children in warchildren. And it worked, for the most part Kara can barely feel pain. He might bleed to death, but he wouldn't realize he was in serious trouble. Karasu has learned to be cool and composed out of war and a little crazy during battles.

Powers/Abilites: None
Personality: A Shadow of his former self... he walks through the Guild like a skeleton, unchained from his closet but never finding repose. Everything he or anyone else does seems to fill him with discomfort and self guilt. He seems filled with a numbness of spirit that has spread to his limbs, to the point that just as he will not feel the barb of an insult he will nut feel the cut of a blade.

Very ratlike in demeanor, however when one looks at him a long time, for hours, a vague halo begins to form. A Radiance, a vague gleaming of the former nobility he, Andras Dragonkiller once held.
Bio: Andras was not always so fell and ignoble. Once, Andras was the paragon of a poor man's nobility. He was nothing special in skill nor of birth, your dead average man with a spear born of peasant stock. No fate to taint him with power, no warriors blood to sound the battle call, just a boy who worked hard and did what was required of him. He smiled like any child. Cryed like one too. He was on a track to join the city militia and maybe make a decent place for himself the world. But the Music changed that.

Everything shifted into ruin. People were gobbled up by a walking death. And he remained alone. Then the sun, sickly and pale, was blotted out by a growing darkness, and Sad Andras broke like so much glass. He screamed in fear and in desperation and struck into the blackness, stabbing with feral thrusts of his spear.

He awoke from his adrenaline-induced daze to see a dragon dead in front of him. It had put up no resistance to his animalism, merely given way before him, and accepted death as the payment for its pacifism.

From then on Andras was a marked man. He was disturbed by the changes in his body, terrified by the stars on his wrists and the darkness and guilt that now crept on assassin's feet into his heart. He branded over his stars, burnt skin is now all that remains of them. It was impossible to tell how, but its seemed people knew he was a dragon-killer. They knew his sin even before they knew his name, a glance at his face, his gait, was all they needed to know his crime.

Never again would he find rest

He drifted from place to place. Being chased out and abused. Eventually, the Fire Guild gave him some pittance of mercy. They gave him their least wanted jobs, there most menial or suicidal tasks and he gets to sleep outside their building. It was not much, but for Andras it was all the stability he could hope for.

Name: Caleb (his foes often call him 'The Necromancer' in battle.)

Age: 50+ no one knows the exact age and he won't tell.

Weapon: Staff

Appearance: Caleb looks like a young 21 year old. He was long brown hair kept in a ponytail. He was sharp green eyes that betray his age and pale skin. He still has a young body and is very fit. However every now and then he reverts to how he should look. He is seen normally in his long black robes that have a laughing skull on the back. His earth star looks cracked and has darkened in colour.

Powers/Abilities: Necromancy (limited to his dragon and keeping him young and heal himself at the moment)

Personality: Caleb has a cold personality. He is normally cruel to people but on occasion will be civil. He is normally always thinking of a way to gain more power.

Bio: Caleb lived through it all. The rise and fall of the music. The rise and corruption of the king. He had seen it all. His past is known only to himself. But his present is known by all. He is the kings’ right hand man and advisor for times when he needs it.
Caleb is one of the reasons the king is as cruel as he is now.He is always giving the king new ideas that are meant to give the king more power but people know its for Caleb. People hate him for the cruel things he has done. He is constantly speaking about gaining more power. He even openly says he will kill the king one day to gain his power and dragon but the king does nothing about it since he needs him at the moment and Caleb scares him in ways.
To the ordinary people Caleb is known as the man who gave up his soul in order to gain more power. He is an Icon of fear in many peoples hearts. Even Calebs' dragon that was killed in a battle not long after the king became corrupt was brought back from the dead with unholy power. Now when he summons it is just an animated skeleton of what it was.
Everything about Caleb goes against the very fabric of nature and for someone who gained the earth star people find it unnerving in his presence.

Appearance: Scorn is just the skeleton of a large dragon. His bones are crusted with earth and mud. Within his ribcage glows a black fire. Red eyes of death peer from its skull. Strange spikes of bone grow out of different parts of it that it uses for a weapon.

Powers: Mainly earth based but now thats its dead it has gain many different ones. Some are just diffent looking. For examble it can breath fire, but the flame is black instead of the normal red.

Personality: Scorn doesn't seem to have a personality since it is dead but some say when Caleb puts more power into it its old one rises. Its one of a greedy dragon scared of nothing but unwilling to obeys sometimes. Besides those rare moments it only obeys Caleb’s commands with no emotion.

Powers/Abilites: Can manipulate flames in many ways. making a shiled to firing them in bursts shaped like arrows.
Personality: Kind of a hot head. thinks everything should go his way, and doesn't like to be set straight. he thinks his word his final, and listens to no one. however he is very loyal, and skilled. His leads him to stay to himself, and avoid contact with anyone. Most likely because some of them my be with the King, and emotional ties only create a weakness.

Bio: Aro was once lively, and sweet. however he grew sour, and distant from his time being a hunter. he killed his first man at the age of 16, and from there has grow heartless to killing anyone he must. this also lead him to aviod contact as they to may be his next target.

Powers/Abilites: She can freeze things (not dragons though) with the sound waves of her voice, but it only happens when she's extremely angry and/or frightened. She can't control it just yet.
Personality: Kau isn't particularly happy, sad, or angry, but she's non-chalant and reacts when such emotions are drawn forth. People often mistake her for a boy, not only because of how she looks but because of her husky voice as well, but she doesn't care. Her clothes are uni-sexual and she wears boots that she often neglects to tie. She appreciate things much more than your average child and understands more as well. She's not brilliant but she is smart for her age. Friendly toward strangers, usually to test them. Thinks of Volos, her dragon, as a mother figure. Because she is still a child, she can become depressed when thinking about her parents.

Altough, non-chalant, Kau has very bad reacts to killing and terrifying situations. Silently resents the king with unbelievable passion.
Bio: Kau was born from two ordinary spies from the fire guild. They payed as much attention to her as they could, knowing every moment could be their last. And one day, it was.

Her parents were discovered by one of the king's spies and killed. Kau could only watch in horror, until he turned to her. Angry with the death of her parents and terrified of dying herself, Kau clamped her eyes shut and screamed. She felt a gust of wind and when she opened her eyes, a beautiful white dragon that was neither huge nor small, stood beside her. The king's spy was trapped inside an ice crystal. The dragon spoke to her through their minds, "Come child, others are no their way." From that day on Kau trusted Volos, the dragon's name she came to learn, and only Volos.

Weapon: Two pistols strapped to her waist. A long blade in the 'saddle hold'.
Appearance: With a cloth that covers both eyes. A double eye patch? xD

Powers/Abilities: Can see very small pieces of the future when asked. The extersion often causes her to faint afterward.
Personality: Yuri is well known for her works of cloth. She usually sews parts of the future into the thing she's sewing. Because she has a blindfold on she cannot see people so she relies on her hearing to tell her about her surroundings, or she asks her dragon. She's shy until she meets someone, then she's more open and talkative. Though shy she's not scared to point out rudeness or bad manners.
Bio: Yuri was born into a wealthy family, which is where she learned to be good mannered and calm. After her town was destroyed she met a woman who taught her how to sew. When she started sewing she saw a young man with a gold dragon. He later became the king. Yuri sews blankets and clothing for anyone who asks. She's very kind but has a bit of a temper. Yuri is a brilliant fighter, she uses her hearing to help her fight and when fighting she uses bits of her ability to see what is coming to wards her.

Personality: Peter is the exact opposite of Yuri. His hearing is slightly dull but his eye sight is amazingly accurate. He's very open and not in the least bit shy. He can be very rude. He only shows compassion to Yuri. He absolutely adores and loves her.
