I like ambient city noises from the past. Like the '60s and '70s. They are so soothing.

Falling rain is definatly a favourite sound. Past that its harder to tell. A thunderstorm in the distance can be fun to hear.
City sounds don't tend to sooth me since I hate being in urban environments - though on films and such they can work well.

I like the crackling sound older computers make when they start up. Also the sound audio recording devices pick up of themselves (the one you can't hear by yourself, only through playback of the recording).

The sound that guitar makes in Radiohead - Creep. You'd know the sound if you heard it. I'm completely in agreement with some old VH1 interview I saw featuring Flea talking about how awesome that sound is. I mean it's so good I want to smoke a cigarette after hearing it, and I don't smoke.
