Gundam 00 On Sci-Fi
so who watched it last night, I was glad to see this finally get dubbed, and was also glad that Cartoon Network didn't get there hands on it so they could butcher it up like they did with Seed, so Discuss
It was good, but I have to say the Manga logo pissed me off. They had nothing to do w/ the anime.
As for the anime itself we see another whiny protaganist. It's so, so so far. Can't tell.
I'm not saying feminine looking males in an anime ruin it for me, but 00 has the "This-was-made-for-yaoi-fangirls" theme to it.
The storyline tries to be complicated, to distract you from how average it is, and not to mention cliche.
But hell, it is Gundam, I watched it last night and I say I will continue to watch it, if not just for the mecha battles.
It was good for the parts that came in clear, I have satellite and it was storiming...sucks.

Yeah, it is a bit cliche, and if it does not owe a lot to Wing, I don't know what does. But like somone said, Lets see some mecha, blown to hell.
I am in the middle of the second season, which I feel (so far) is almost a worth, if not better sequel.
As for pretty men? I sorta had the same feel. I thought that of Code Geass too, though. And that series had character designs from Clamp. But 00 seems to amp it up a bit.
Anyhow, I am glad to see people watching. as long as the ratings do well enough, I am hoping Sci-fi gets more....

that's why I was glad Sci Fi got it, CN butchered the crap out of Seed, kinda nice having mondays off so I can finally watch animondays, of course I miss the 90's when they ran the anime block on saturday's 9pm est / 6am pst
As much as I have disliked what {AS} did to their line up, there is a LOT of anime fans that were made from that block, line up.

Oh Toonami how I miss you...I remembered watching DBZ and Gundam Wing and the original Gundam on there in the same day. I also when Gundam messed up at one of the last episodes and was cancelled, never finished it until I bought some DVDs later on.
I would like to get Gundam, but they haven't released it on a box set like Wing and the others
I would hate to see it dubbed. I am still on Gundam Seed myself, so not to this series yet. I prefer subbed anime though since we almost always select horrible voices in the US.
they actually did a pretty good job with the voices, alot of them are from Gundam, Wing, and Seed

As for Box sets, I would love to attain the rest of the series of Gundam I dont have. At present I still do not have Victory,Z, ZZ, Igloo or any of the other ones not released here in our DVD region. I have had to just see all of them online.

I might give it a look then. No matter what though subbed will always be better though. I think the language just really adds to it and brings out what the writers are trying to convey. It's all in the voice.

Now dropped. The fact that the anime is meant for fujoshi pisses me off. No Gundam can overlap Zeta in my book.
