I am not so good with drawing people so this has been my first attemp in a long while. You guys have inspired me so i thought it best to share it with you.

I am worst when it comes to colouring and or shading. My shading is horrendous (if this is spelt corectly).

Any comment on how to improve this would be great or any general comment you feel like sharing would be appreciated.

Kat is right. You do have a lot of potential. You do need to work on proportions because it looks like your drew barbie hands on human beings but other than that its not a bad first try. Keep it up. I would love to see more work.

yes i would have to agree, when i dont a=draw in ages - i loose my skills very, very quickly! - so indeed, well dont.

Tip: Study more anime, when there're kissing, look at how the lip is shaped around the other. Keep that

awesome work though!

I've been practicing drawing eyes, nose and mouth. I am going to try drawing pages on top of pages of hands. I must get better eventually. I scared to try shading though. That i think will be a natural disaster in itself. However i must face my fear and press on. I will not stop until i think i am even half as good as Naotavespaboy. He's my inspiration to try harder. His details are amazing. I haven't seen anyone else's drawings as yet. If i look and they are as good or even better i'll probabely quit trying. How does one get to be so good? Don't tell me its practice. Is there like a class or something? Cause i need to go to one. I can't even draw from my head. I have to look at a pic and draw what i see....... Maybe i should start drawing three dimentional objects like this fan i am looking at right now. Hmmmph? yeah maybe i should.

Hi Azul,
nice try for a comeback. You might have to improve on the kissing scene. It looks like they are being force to smooch. The guy hand looks quite okay but the girl hand looks quite weird at the elbow below.
Anyway, there's still a potential in your pic.

I know, the hands are otrocious. I think you guys have misinterpreted me. I have never drawn anime before. What i used to draw back when i was twelve was Scooby Doo and Archie comics. I used to draw with my best friend and after we graduated and he started an all boy school and i started to go to an all girl school so we grew apart. I guess he took my zeal with him. You guys have inspired me to try after all these years. Man i'm turning 19 on the 25th. That's how long....6 years. You guys are the best. Yeah AF!!!!!

The image looks a bit stiff without proper shading and the hands are way too off. They're too small and Kagome's left hand doesn't seem to be. Perhaps you should try drawing with reference at the beginning.

You can see whether your proportions are right by placing it in front of the mirror and see its reflection. If it turns out right and natural, you've succeed.

I thought it was pretty good. I found that when I shade, I do it in small increments. If you color, use a very light gray. I use either Teupe or Gray colored pencil lightly. Take into account where you source of light is coming. Shadows tell everything while bringing out your character.

Other than that, practice makes perfect.

You guys will not be seeing anything from me for a while. The scanner that i was using just...died for lack of something better to say. Can't afford one right now so i'm just going to hope it decides to take pity on me and work.
