My Illustrator and photoshop project

Well , like this is the first picture that i've ever done in these two programs and i was wondering if there are anymore tips that i could use to make it better

Coloring still needs a lot of work. I only see lots of flat colors and barely any shadows and highlights. Please don't tell me you've only used the dodge and burn tool to color this...D8

Its best to not use those tools for skin, and only dodge tool for the hair. Create a palette for your colors first. Know where the light is and some color theories to make the coloring pop-out more.

I hate to say it, but as a lazy budding artist of my time...I can't help but call this very lazy..>>;

Prove me wrong by re-doing it again, adding more detail to the coloring. Look at your shadow, observe that its really dark and the shape is solid as it's closer to the object its casting under. The further it is, the softer and lighter it is, blending perfectly to the background.

Those are my tips. I ain't changing my mind on how blunt I've been on your coloring, unless you prove me otherwise. I know I ain't know genius with coloring either (if you've seen my work), and frankly I hate to color my pictures, but at least I put much more thought and time coloring it. >>;

Do give credit to the original artist. >/ <---- Hate art thieves.

PS -Use the pen tool to help you fill things in, instead of the brush tool. You only use that often if you have a tablet.
