Back story:
I'm a college student taking 13 hours of class, 16 hours of work study, in which I ref intramural sports games, and I also had the desire to work with the drama department on their production. After a few weeks I was able to balance them all pretty well, that all changed today.
I had received my work schedule for this week during the weekend. Just this morning I got the rehearsal and performance times for this week. Unfortunately, these schedules conflicted, and by conflict, I mean they were going on at the exact same time. Now I know I need to go to work, I need the money to pay off my tuition. But I also have night class during a rehearsal, to which the director told me to just miss. Now come on, even if it's excused, should he really be telling me to miss class over some production, which I could easily be taken out off and it wouldn't even matter?
And to open the floor up a bit more, what would YOU do in this situation, be a part of the production to which you made a commitment for, or go to class and work like you should?
