You have some really nice stuff, I especially like the 4th banner. The only things I can say are that you should watch out for making things a little too sharpened as well as working around with your fonts, though some of them are quite nice.

And you have one thats long but thin.

On that Chu x chu I`m not sure where I should focus, becaus there is alot going on in it.
The figure in the CC on has jagged edges.
It looks like you just take ready made extractions and paste them on, without doing anything with the background.

The Hayate on can become nice, since the extract is quite nice.
But then you`d have to put more effort into making a background.

Which program do you use?

One more thing, save images as png, and not jpeg.
You`ll get better quality

thank des, Im very limmited with my program, I use painter 3 essential, itshell crap and limmiting, for example, I had to be sneaky with the CC background, wat I did to fade it was, to turn the opacity of the rubber to hell low and tada, I know... very sad but its all I can do...

Firstly they're too big.But not bad your tags are ok.
And they don't really blend in aswell as some are either too bright
or crispy and low quality. BTW you missed an A in your CC sig.

yeah, i know they're too big and i know i missed an A, lol.
I use a crap program that doesnt allow me to save it as PNG file....
Thats why its soooo crap. It doesnt have much blending options..

But just a few things, some of them are kind of plain and very big. x.x;
I see that you certainly have talent though! ^_^
But yeah, as Nariel-san said, try a free program like Gimp. My friend uses Paint dot NET I believe it is called. And also something like " Photo Explosion " I think..? Anyway.. It seems like a nice program. Good job and I hope to see more. =)

Lol size isn't too much of an issue imo. I'd rather refer to them as banners instead of sigs. But its good that you work on larger documents instead of starting small. A good idea is to crop/resize as you work on your sig to get rid of stuff you don't like, etc. You can keep up the idea of working on larger document sizes, as long as you scale them down from here on if you plan on calling them sigs.

If anything, download GIMP. It's the probably the best thing you can get that isn't called Photoshop :[ Most programs don't have the same features that GIMP and PS have so you'll have a harder time doing things such as blending and making backgrounds. Keep practicing and learning, you'll see progress.

GIMP one: I like the GIMP one a lot better than the Photoshop one. It seems like you tend to like closeups, but they don't work for every sig. You must learn to resize. I get the guitar concept in this signature, but you are not pulling it off. Rotate the guitar extract to the left and resize Haruhi so that you can see more of her body. The background is just random c4d effects and does not blend. I know its not, but it really just looks like you took a snapshot of a huge collage of picture and added text. Text does not match and its very random. Its all over the place. The thing with text is that you should just go simple, you aren't doing the fancy effects very well and it just kills the quality of the sig even more. It feels like you added bevel to this sig, but I'm not sure, but if you did, its nice that you're playing around with filters. GIMP has a lot of nice filters and you just have to play around with them. Colors just don't match either so try using gradient maps as well.

Photoshop one: The extraction is terribly cut and I can see white lines around the stock. I also think you should resize the stock and make it smaller because the close up on her face does not look good. I also think you should cut out the weird brown starry thing on the left of her face. So the background basically looks like a random stock you found and slapped onto the sig. It does not match the extract at all and you can definately do a lot more. The sticks of wood [?] going through the sig also does not look good. The font and text don't match the sig either. It may be more effective if you switch them both. As in have Rozen in the Maiden font/color and vice versa. Your name in the bottom right corner doesn't look good either and if you want it to be there, you should change to font to something more subtle, make its opacity lower, and make sure it does not touch the edges. I see where you're getting at with simplicity but this sig just doesn't do it.

Make more sigs, the more practice, the better you get.

I only started using Gimp, it takes me a while to get use to programs.

Ok, The Rozen sig looks like you used the magic wand tool to extract her out, this is a no-no. At least its a no-no if you dont know how to fix the pixel looking edges. Read up on using the pen tool for extractions.

The font...Im going to be honest, the font is horrible. Not so much the selection of the font, but the effects you did with it. Pick one color, theres no need for two. Dont stroke fonts unless you know how to manipulate the stroke feature. Sometimes the best looking use of fonts are just simply black with good placement. Also, I dont know what possessed you to use white text over her white colar.

It also looks like she has snowflakes in her hair, but theres an autumn bg? I would refrain from using images to compile your bgs, and instead pick up colors from the stock and just do an abstract bg. Just using brushes can make fantastic bgs, so I would recommend going to DA and downloading your little heart out.

Ok, I'll also cover the Haruhi sig too.
Why do you need 3 different font types in three different colors? Four if you count your name. My rule of thumb is to never use more than two type faces. Again, stick to one color for now. Once youve gained a solid understanding of the use of color for focus purposes, I would try to stick with simple black and white fonts. And again, blue font over a blue area [your name over her earing].
I think Jagan pretty much said anything else I wanted to say about that particular sig.

But yes, practice, practice, practice!

I've been going on a CC sig craze.. so, here it is!
And thanks for the tips, i really have to watch it with the contrast and colors, oh yeah, and why i put the text my my name really light, its so, the name isn't the focus. I just rec ken the name isn't as important as anything els.

I know, they are big, but thts just how i do them. You can look at the details well enough, when its small, well, too small..

Whats the recommended WXH for a sig.

Well, I've been working on some background and mucking around with the pen tool and slowly, im getting use to using Gimp 2.6



Fix up of Haruhi sig, coz last one was sooo bad according to ppl in, intuition..

Woah, now you are making us [Intuition] sound like a bunch of meanies. Hmm, well I think I can help you with any of your GIMP problems seeing as that is the program I use.

From what I can tell you love using the ellipse tool, that isn't a bad thing but you can do so much more. Like Jagan said try some of GIMP's filters.

When you first start [according to Unli] it's good to use the eye drop tool to use the colors for blending. For the most part AF tends to make smaller signature between 300X100 to 600X300 but you are just making them so big. It's hard to fill up all that space, you try smaller sizes you'll find it much easier to fill them out that way.

Also, hit me up and I can hook you up with about 1200 gimp brushes and a couple of photoshop filters that you can install on GIMP.

Again practice makes perfect to keep going at it.

I've never seen sigs THAT big and avatars THAT small before. Cut down your sizes first. You really need that bad right now.

You do have potential, you know. Try to follow some tutorials. They help a lot. And try to blend in your images. You could also center your extracts and concentrate most of your effects on putting them out. Use some C4Ds as well. Those always help in perking up a signature.

Like karuto said you DO have potential we need to see more improvement though. First of all I think you should resize your images/extracts so that not only the head is showing. That way the signature may be easier to create and blend.

In your Haruhi signature (improved) you need to create depth. Though the background colors co-operate with each other it is not the same with the stock unfortunately. Otherwise I think this signature is rather nice, the background is lovely actually, just don't rely on brushes. Also it might be nice to make sure that your text is going in one direction, it looks more 'professional' that way is one of putting it.

The extract has jaged edges, bad cut.
You should have sharpened the text, it looks too blurred.
Those white spotlights you`ve made on the extract, on the gun and hair, you did it to creat some light I guess, or tried to blend the figure.
For light, don`t do it like that, put it like under the figure, on the bottom and dim the opacity or change blending mode.
If it was to try to blend it, you should have used those brushes you have over by the text instead.
Your nickname could have been over by the rest of the text, and smaller, maybe right under the K and O
